Kier smiled. The Shadow could not possibly know how much the title it had just awarded Kier honored him. The Mage plucked two of the moon flowers to bring down the barrier and gave the Shadow the vial of potion Ina handed him.

"Should this not work, I will return to claim those two," said the Shadow pointing at the hovering man and woman.

"You shall not return," said Kier as he gave Ina a confident look. "I am sure."

The Shadow walked away, back towards the mountain. Kier looked at the flowers in his hand, whispered a few arcane words, and turned the flowers into colored crystal.

He handed one of them to Ina and turned to head for his house.
