#129 Consideration

It was a simple matter for Kier to read the Runes and re-memorize them. A quick skim and he snapped his fingers. A single chime came, a melodious shattering of glass as the spell that warded the poison in his blood disappeared.

"Do you have any more of that antidote?" asked the Mage.

Ina handed him the small pot where she cooked the ingredients. Kier drank it. The red veins faded out and the color of his lips became less disconcerting. It was all back to normal eventually.

"Whew." Even Ina could feel the relief in Kier's sigh. "As much as I enjoy the view, would you like to get dry?"

Ina was trembling. But she hadn't noticed it, not since she ran back outside to look for the antidote's components. "Yes."

Kier snapped his fingers again. Ina's clothes were dry. Completely.

"Well, I better leave, then," said Kier.
