The Knock

He had been gone for three days now. Not even a word was delivered to Kelani regarding her husband's whereabouts. Sadiq did that often thus his wife's reaction. He didn't care about her nor her feelings. The two did not have any children between them and Kelani was thankful for that. She couldn't bear the thought of bringing children into a situation like theirs. It would be selfish and heartless.

She was sat by the window. a book in hand though she hadn't even flipped a page. Her mind stuck on that one thing she'd been conteplating but she was a coward and will always be. She had always been thankful for her job for if it wasn't for it she would be institutionalized by now. No mind could take what has been coming her way this long. The shame and the pain.The rejection.But she had.

Her Saturday was quiet and peaceful if not for the fact that Sadiq had gone AWL once again. She knew he was probably going to be gone for a longer period and she did try to not feel angry and hurt but after all she was human and she did know where her husband was and whom he was with.
