An eternal dream

The little wolf did not get up for long, his body still tired he just got up to drink some of the fabulous flowery tasting liquid. After satisfy his thirst and hunger, he lay back down falling back into a deep slumber.

Rana got up, after a relaxing breakfast. He started off work in a relaxed fashion drinking amazing green tea. After working a few hours he had finished all he had to do for the day. He then went through his messages.

There in between useless work related round mails and boring newsletters, was the mail containing the copy of the book 「Theorie and discussion of Energy cultivation of the body and mind from around the world」 he had discovered in his bosses office. He immediately downloaded it to his phone.

Opened the book immediately, and started to read it. As mention before it introduced different energy cultivation from around the world, discussing them in details with their advantages and disadvantages. It included external and internal techniques from Asian countries such as china, India. But also so mysterious techniques, just to name a few examples, from African voodoos or European pagans, alchemist, sorcerers and witches.

But most importantly it postulated generalised theory at the end, regrouping all the practises into one, removing the disadvantages but keeping most of the advantages. Of course Rana took most of for total nonsense. But in the spirit of experimentation and since he had felt a weird energy seeping over into him from his dreams he decided to study it.

He tried some of it out while reading, but he was not able to do anything more than to faintly sense the energy inside him. After reading the whole book once hours had past. Feeling hungry he decided to eat and then dressed up to go out for a walk.

Apart from receiving the copy of the book nothing special happened these days, the little wolf was still resting and living of the mysterious drink. And every night they dreamt of the monstrous wolf but could not remember much. Rana meet up with Robert once to play chess and talk about life. He did not do much progress when it came to studying the contents of the old book apart from being able to sense energies better.

On Friday night Rana finally dreamt a dream that he could finally remember.

He was standing on a hill in the middle of a flowery field, there standing next to him stood a monstrous white wolf, looking into the distance. He was in the body of the small wolf, he looked up at the huge wolf next to him and then into the distance, but he could not make out anything special. There was nothing but an endless field of flowers.

He looked back at the wolf but in its stead there stood a beautiful woman now, and he was also no wolf no more. The woman had skin pale as the moons, and was wearing beautiful white pelts. She had long white hair, even though she looked as if she was in her best years.

Rana looked at her face, it looked majestic, full of eternal beauty, like on of the faces he had so often seen in museums carved out of white marble. As he looked into her dark blue eyes, he got lost in them feeling strangely connected to this being. After what seemed to be an eternity, she started to sing in the most beautiful of voices. She sang a lullaby in a strange language that he did not understand.

He closed his eyes for a few seconds, enjoying the beauty of the song. When he opened them again, he was no longer standing on the hill but next to what looked to be a huge wooden wall. As he looked up, he saw branches thicker than mountains. He felt tiny, smaller than an ant looking at the largest of things he had ever laid his eyes on.

Then he blinked again, and he was standing in the big hall in front of a huge grey wolf, it stood there majestically full of ferocity glaring at the tiny wolf him. This was the wolf he had remembered on the first night. Its aura pressing down onto him. Rana had never been under such a huge pressure, he felt as if he would explode at any moment. All of a sudden, a deep horn could be heard blown from afar, and the pressure on him disappeared as the wolf dashed away.

As Rana blinked again, he was now standing on the peak of a mountain. From here it seemed as if one could watch over the whole world. He could see an oak so big that it seemed to support the starry sky, with the brightest star fixed right above it. In this starry sky on could see seven moons roaming around. Rana lost himself in this scenery, for it was beautiful. He felt as aeons passed by the oak unchanging, stars disappearing any new ones appearing. His body grew older and older until he died only to be reformed in the body of a newborn growing old again in an endless cycle.

Then he was standing next to the woman again. She was still singing as if she had never stopped. He looked at her and felt the deepest of connections, like the one a child had to one's mother. She looked back at him and stopped singing. There she stood as a white wolf again, and he stood there as little wolf now. They looked each other in the eyes for a short moment that was an eternity.

Rana woke up after this strange dream. He felt that it incredible and felt like he had to note it down before he forgot. This dream had felt real, surreal and unreal withal.

Even after years, he would still feel the deep connection he had felt to that woman in this dream. And the lullaby that she was singing would resurface in his mind as if she was still there next to him never having stopped.

So here is another chapter.

I almost wasn’t able to finished as I have rewritten the second chapter today.

I hope you enjoy this chapter, because even thought it is not too long, I had a hard time writing it but I have really enjoyed it.

Please don’t forget offering a few power stones for the little wolf.
