'Empress!' majin exclaimed with a psychopathic smile . 'Oh, my empress, because of your trick, the whole imperial court will be stained with blood now.'
"It has been a few years since I killed someone from the imperial clan," Majin thought as he opened the gate to the dean's office, adding, "It would be fun to do it again."
To be honest, the current emperor had around 40 children and many wives. But as soon as the emperor fell ill, the unofficial war for the crown also started between his children, and half of them are already dead.
The current empress had three children: two sons and one daughter, all favored by the emperor. It could be said that if her children became the rulers of the empire, she would wield the most power.
But then the seventh prince returned from the war, became a war hero, and became a stone in the empress's path. So, she tried to kill him.
But she failed, and both her son and daughter were killed by the seventh prince in front of her, and she wasn't able to stop him.
Since then, the seventh prince and the empress have always been at each other's throats, each wanting to kill the other.
The emperor also kind of disliked Majin because of this act of his.
Not that Majin cared about it. After all, he was the one who poisoned the emperor and made him fall ill.
But one thing was sure: now the imperial court might really be stained with blood, because Majin hated being spied on for many reasons.
"Where did you go?" Kushira asked as Majin reentered the dean's office after disappearing just a few seconds earlier.
"Nothing! I was just killing an annoying bug," Majin replied, making the fire snake disappear.
"Oh," Kushira said. Although she was surprised by how quickly Majin disappeared, she chose not to ask him, as after all, clans like the Akuma clan have many techniques which commoners can never even imagine.
"Anyway, my wife, I will leave for now," Majin leaned closer and whispered in Kushira's ear, "I have to meet His Majesty." With those words, he disappeared once more.
While Majin disappeared from the dean's office, he reappeared in front of the entrance gate of the Imperial Academy, where his coachman and two guards were chatting as if they had been friends for many lifetimes.
As soon as his coachman saw Majin, he stopped talking and hurried to the carriage, ready to drive, while the two guards promptly took their positions.
"Did I overdo it today?" Majin thought to himself as he sat inside the carriage. He was referring to the use of the Footstep Techniques of the Blood Sword Arts. These were the most important and powerful parts of the Blood Sword Arts and the ones which consumed the most chakra.
For example, if he had 1,000 chakra every day, he could barely use the technique about seven times.
"Where do you want to go next, Your Imperial Highness?" the coachman asked Majin as he settled into the carriage.
"To the Imperial Palace," Majin replied, resting his face on his left hand.
It's not that he really wanted to leave Kushira alone at the academy, but he indeed had something important to check.
20 minutes later...
Majin's carriage reached the imperial palace, which might be a bit too much to call a palace since it resembled a castle more than a typical royal residence.
"We greet you, Your Imperial Highness," the guards at the gate of the imperial palace greeted Majin as soon as he exited his carriage.
But Majin just ignored their greeting, as effortlessly as people overlook every other villain in the presence of Madara.
This was because all the guards at the imperial palace were the empress's people, and thus, they were Majin's enemies.
After a few minutes of walking inside the imperial palace, Majin reached a room heavily guarded by dozens of shinobi.
"We greet you, Your Imperial Highness," all the shinobi said as soon as they saw Majin. He ignored them as well and was about to enter the room.
But suddenly, a hand stopped him from entering.
"Forgive me, Your Highness, but the third prince is meeting the emperor right now," said a burly man with short black hair, brown eyes, and a stout physique, as he placed his hand on Majin's chest.
Crack.
As soon as the man completed his sentence, Majin grabbed his neck and dug his nails deep into the flesh, violently tearing it away from the man's body.
"Trash," Majin muttered as he kicked the severed head of the burly man away.
Although all the other shinobi witnessed this, they couldn't really intervene, as who would dare confront the only prince even the empress feared?
The room Majin was about to enter housed the emperor, who was currently bedridden due to his illness. This necessitated that each prince and princess visit him every few days.
As Majin entered the room, he was met with the sight of a young man with short blonde hair and red eyes, appearing to be around 20-21 years old, and an old man lying in the bed.
"I greet you, Your Majesty," Majin greeted the old man on the bed, who was, in fact, the current emperor of the Demon Empire.
Upon hearing his words, both the old man and the boy with blonde hair turned to look at him, their expressions twisting into looks of disgust.
