Jealousy

Suddenly her phone rang. It was a message from Tony.

'Come out. Dinner's ready'

"Eh, he could've just called me out though."

Rin Chan sneered as she wash her face.

She couldn't explain why she felt upset after hearing about Mei Chen's engagement.

"Could it be that I'm feeling sad on his behalf?"

She thought. She then deeply inhaled trying to regain her composure as she walked out of the room as if nothing happened.

A scrumptious meal of sweet and sour fish and side veggies with fresh orange juice and steamed rice were preprared at the table.

Rin Chan almost drool seeing their dinner. She had no doubt about Tony's cooking skill and she could smell the tasty dish from where she's standing.

As she was eating, she remembered what she saw on the TV earlier. She put down her food and checked out the news on her phone.

Mei Chen's engagement was trending, and lots of articles online pop out as soon as she hit the search button.

She click link after link, not realizing that Tony was broodingly looking at her.

"Ahem."

Tony cleared his throat, trying to get Rin Chan's attention.

She was intenly reading the forums, while trying her best to hide it infront of Tony she's afraid that the news might upset him.

"Rin-Rin.."

He called her out, but she ignored him. Tony sighed. He was feeling more and more agitated.

When Rin Chan vehemently denied their relationship earlier at the clothing store, he felt a sharp pain in his heart.

Moreover he saw her getting the young man's card she was smiling at him, his eyes dimmed, as the pain in his heart increases even more.

He tried his best to act like it didn't affect him. He busied himself trying to clear his thoughts.

And yet, jealousy started to take over his thinking when she was busy looking at her phone. He thought she was exchanging messages with the young man already.

He couldn't take it. He felt that Rin Chan was taking him for granted.

He felt like he was such a fool for giving her his best. Yet she chose another man instead.

He could endure physical pain. He's used to it. But the pain he was feeling emotionally was something that's new to him.

He find himself unable to control his feelings. Like he was about to burst inside.

He suddenly stood up, he throw his napkin then walked out of the dining area.
