After Dax left, Grace took a shower.
She looked at herself in the mirror. Her hand slowly rested on her flat, firm belly, wondering when a life would grow inside her.
She had been with Dax only a few times, and after each encounter, she would check a pregnancy test a few days later.
But there was no sign of pregnancy yet.
She didn't have a body that easily conceived. She pushed herself too hard in the past, which had damaged her body, making conception even harder.
So, she thought of dragging this out as long as possible.
After all, there must be a chance, right?
Grace collected her thoughts, got dressed, and left.
Dax was a very vigilant man. Now that she had his passcode, it wouldn't be wise to hang around too much.
The antiques exchange would be tomorrow afternoon. They needed to prepare and leave early — she had to settle everything before nine o'clock tomorrow night.
