Inside the spacious parlour room of the Boxton mansion, Eadlin and Henry, as well as Derian and his son Crispin were seen sitting quietly, as none of them spoke after Henry's declaration of canceling the wedding, and also admitting to be in love with Eadlin to Derian.
The heavy silence was starting to get uncomfortable for Eadlin, who was placed on the high spot after Henry's declaration to the father and son. She couldn't even bring herself to meet their eyes and simply lowered her head as the guilt weighed heavily in her heart. She couldn't help but feel guilty for disappointing Crispin. However, as if sensing her emotions, Henry placed his hand on top of hers to comfort her.
Nevertheless, Derian didn't miss that small action of the young lord of the Boxton household. He sighed deeply before finally breaking the awkward silence that had been hanging in the atmosphere.
