Chapter 7: Talk

Multiple footsteps can be heard hitting the horizontal part of the stairs, causing a squeaking sound to be heard by the woman in the kitchen.

"Good morning," a boy spoke without a hint of joy in the tone of his voice. He walks casually towards the kitchen.

There, his nose received an aroma of coffee powder mixed together with creamer, and brown sugar. Additionally, his nose inhales the smell of eggs being fried in a frying pan.

"Magandang umaga rin, anak," a woman said.

The length of her blue wavy hair catches up with the level of her shoulder, she's wearing a comfortable pink duster dress with big blue gumamela knitted on it.

Using her spatula, she collects the last 3 remaining sunny-side-up eggs from the piping hot oil from the frying pan. One by one, she gently put the last 3 sunny-side-up eggs on the rectangular plate beside the stove.

"Why won't you take a seat, son?" she turned her face towards the teenage boy who remains standing near the entrance of the kitchen.

He walks towards the arranged seats surrounding the big round dining table, his movement wasn't lively, whereas it lacks liveliness; even his face does not show a bit of appreciation for what his mother had done for him this morning.

"Thank you," Efrein said while witnessing his mother putting a rectangular plate of 2 hot sunny-side-up eggs, 2 hot hotdogs, and 4 toasted bread in front of him.

"One hot coffee to start your day!" Efrein's mother smiled in a wide way while staring at his son's face.

She extends her hand towards his dark hair, hence she ruffles it. His son continued to feast upon his breakfast.

After some minutes later, a rectangular plate can be seen on the table, above it a little bit of yolk along with breadcrumbs can be seen. Breadcrumbs scattered around the rectangular plate, Efrein's mother walks toward the plate.

Hence, she places the spoon and fork above the dirty plate, and she also puts the mug on top of the unclean plate.

Inside a room, a dark door was pushed by a hand and a half-naked Efrein walked out of the bathroom. Also, a white towel was wrapped around his bottom body.

His hair was ragged, and a few water beads could be seen on his light brown neck; some flow down slowly on his white towel.

"Aish!" He jumped so high towards his bed, his arse, which was draped in landed first. His arse, which was covered loosely in his white towel, hit the sheet of his bed. Then, he raises his hands as he opens his mouth widely and takes a deep breath.

The door of his room swings forward to a great extent, causing it to hit the wall. A woman with dark straight long hair, a loose t-shirt that has the logo of a big knife is standing at the entrance of Efrein's bedroom.

Efrein covers his upper naked body using his hands, his mouth is wide open the same as his eyes.

"USO ANG KUMATOK BAKIT HINDI MO GAWIN, ATE?!"

"Ayoko. Tsaka kumusta ka? Patingin nga ako nang itinatago mong mahaba't—."

"TUMIGIL KA ATE!"

Efrein looks over to his heap of pillows, he extends his hand towards it and grabs it, and then he shifts his face towards his older sister.

A frown contracted his brow, his lip curved downwards. "LUMABAS KA, MANYAKIS!"

And then he proceeds to throw his pillows in a careless way towards his older sister.

A wicked smirk forms on her lip as she turns her back away from his brother, henceforth she runs away while several pillows come forward in her direction.

The pillows hit the ground while a boisterous insolent laugh can be heard from the hallway, little by little it vanishes away while multiple loud footsteps can be heard on the stairs.

"SISTER JENNIVAH YEIRA SOROTIAS!" he released a loud voice on top of his lungs like a kid who has been triggered by a browbeating person.

Efrein inhales through his nose deeply. He stands up from his bed and walks towards his dresser.

"Let's see…" Efrein whispered.

His bare hands touch the knob of the tall wardrobe in front of him, hence he pulls it causing the closed door of the wardrobe to unfold; revealing the hanging attire, and folded layer of clothes underneath the hanging attire.

His eyes analyze every piece of clothing, finding the right outfit for him to wear on this day.

The red tall gate opens widely, therefore a calm teenage boy walks out from it; his attire was a white t-shirt covered by an unzipped pink jacket.

He's wearing dark pants, and lastly, white socks which have been covered by his pair of dark shoes, and it has a symbol of a small red knife on each of its sides.

Efrein saunters away from his home, his mother closes the red gate, however, she didn't close it completely; she steps outside and looks over at his son. As Efrein walks away, he gradually disappears from his mother's eyes.

Efrein walks along the street with many aligned lamp posts, and also different-looking houses beside the street. His eyes stay on the path he is walking on, his naked eyes see the people walking around, as well as the sunlight hitting the concrete ground.

He has crossed paths with many houses and stores, and even people that he didn't mean to bump into until he sees 2 nonmoving figures standing nearby a building. A slight smile accompanied by the lifting of his eyebrows was seen on his face as the 2 figures become closer and are familiar in his eyes.

"Yo, Efrein!" Relov raised his hand as he waves it in a slight motion. He's wearing a yellow t-shirt and an unzipped red yellow jacket, and he's wearing dark pants and a pair of dark boots.

Seji stares at him with an unsmiling face, he nods his head. Hereafter, Efrein's steps come to an end in front of them.

"Handa ka na ba sa enrollment mo? Kasi kami'y kanina pa," Seji said. He's wearing a white crop top showing his abdomen with a tattoo resembling a bear and wolf, and he's wearing grey pants and a pair of dark shoes.

Efrein moves his eyes toward him, he shakes his head down. "Oo!"

Together, they all commence walking towards their appointed place.

At the face of a tall and massive white structure, adjacent to the said structure, three people are standing near to it along with few individuals who were walking in different directions.

"Are you sure, about this? Was boss serious about all of this?!" his angry stare towards the teenage boy with grey hair blaze up tremendously.

"Where's your trust?" the lad with the grey hair shifted his eyes toward Tiempo.

Tiempo the boy with the white spiky hair clicks his tongue, and he grits his teeth as he glared intensely at him.

The only teenage girl with them was just staring while listening to their conversation which was in a state of under the weather.

"Hindi ba kayo titigil...? O gusto ba ninyong tawagin ko siya?" she asked both of them with a frowning brow and scrunched up eyes looking at each of their faces.

Tiempo turns his face away from Nana, thence he gulps, whilst Snortos smiles while he remains looking at Nana with closed eyes.

"You! What are you looking at, Tiempo?" she stepped closer to him, she stretches out her hand toward his collar henceforth, she holds it so tight.

"IKAW ITIGIL MO ANG PAGTITIG MO SA AKIN!" her eyes went normal, however, her glare at him got more intense.

Snortos continues at what he's doing, however, she felt something in her heart. Her hand slowly let go of his collar from her grasp yet it left a crease on it.

She mover her body slightly in the other direction, amidst the crowd; a teenage boy walking along with two teenage boys in each of his sides caught her eyes.

Tiempo's fists bit by bit closes, henceforth he walks away from his group onwards to somebody among the crowd.

"MAGSILAYUAN KAYO KUNG AYAW NINYONG MABUGBOG O MASANGKOT!" Snortos cried out.

The crowd whispered about what the boy with the grey hair had shouted. In the middle of the crowd, a boy with dark hair had kicked the back of a teenage girl causing her to fall on the ground.

"PATAWAD!" the dark-haired boy jumped so high towards Tiempo who was approaching him from up above.

While in the air, Efrein turns around and at the same time, he delivers a strong sway of his foot towards Tiempos's face, successfully his foot hits his cheek.

Tiempo descends and crashes on the ground. Few were left open-mouthed at what occurred near them. In the crater with small pieces of crushed chunks from the ground, a hand appears and it holds the overhead surface.

A figure comes out from the crater. Irritation and resentment were painted on his face as his face moves around.

"IKAW NA PESTE!" he shouted out.

A wind with great velocity goes straight to him, hence his whole body was pushed by the wind; his body falls onto the crater. Efrein lands in front of the crater, his eyes look down upon the crater where Tiempo is sitting.

Everyone's eyes remain focus on Efrein and Tiempo, a figure from the crater jumps so high as his eyes move down to Efrein.

"You little SHIT!" he shouted as he grits his teeth.

Tiny pieces of white speck appear on his naked arms, henceforth it spreads onward his hands and thin air comes out from it; his arms and hands were now covered in ice.

He falls inside the crater in a standing position, after that, he runs toward Efrein at great speed. Efrein also runs toward him, and then their elbows crash into each other.

By the use of their elbows, they push themselves away from each other, and then Efrein casually walks toward Tiempo.

"Are they going— No! I'm going to stop them!"

Nana begins to make a step towards the fighting pair, however, a hand holds her arm tightly. Then, she moves her face beside her only to see the face of Snortos.

"Don't just do some reckless thing, Nana!" he gave her a speech of warning, while his eyes remain looking forward to the ongoing fight.

"But!" Nana shouts, "They will need to stop due to we are in a known place! Not just a random place where they can just fight!"

Efrein reaches out his hand which wields a wind sphere towards Tiempo, Tiempo leans his body down, and then he extends his ice-covered fist towards Efrein's upper body.

All of a sudden, Efrein jumps backward successfully evading his ice-covered fist. He points his hand at him, hence wind starts to appear in front of his palm.

Then, the wind rotates, bit by bit turning into the shape of a big wind orb, hereafter, Efrein launches the big wind orb in the direction of Tiempo.

Efrein without delay runs behind his attack. Tiempo looks displeasingly at the incoming big wind orb toward him.

"TUMINGIN KA!" a masculine voice yelled beside him.

Tiempo's eyes suddenly move beside him only to see a figure of a teenage boy going towards him.

"YOU!" Tiempo shouted on top of his lung.

He closes both of his ice-covered fists, he runs toward Efrein only to feel his waist hit by something big and strong which causes him to grit his teeth in pain. The force of the big wind orb which has hit Tiempo's waist delivers him away from Efrein.

Tiempo flies a bit away from Efrein, everyone was filled with alarming amazement at the battle of the boy who uses wind against the boy who uses ice.

The solid ice which was covering Tiempo's arms and hands cracks little by little until it breaks into pieces leaving his arms and hands naked. His eyes open slowly only to see a hand in front of him; his vision was still blurry so all he can see was a blurry image of someone standing in front of him.

His eyesight returns to being normal, and now he can see the person standing in front of him while extending his hand towards him.

"What? Aren't you satisfied with what you did to me?" he raised a question while staring at his face.

The someone who was extending his hand towards him puts down his hand. "Tinu-

tulungan na nga kita riyan, huwag ka namang ma-pride at baka hindi na kita makita pa."

With that being said, he turns around and proceeds to walk away from Tiempo. Tiempo clenches his hands as cold vapor comes out from the hole of his hands.

He stands up and tosses multiple pieces of ice spikes toward Efrein. A fireball appears behind Efrein, the fireball manifests into a shape of a human figure, and then the fire fades away leaving a teenage girl.

She releases a great force of fire from her mouth causing the multiple pieces of ice to be burned.

She stares at Tiempo, giving him the evil eye. She clenches both of her hands. Efrein was put to a halt at what occurred, and then he turns around only to see the back figure of a teenage girl.

"Don't you dare! Lay even a finger on him," she declared towards Tiempo. She's wearing a purple crop top exposing her abs on her pale belly, dark pants, and dark boots.

Efrein holds her hand causing her to be in a state of shock. She glances beside her only for her eyes to witness the smile of Efrein while his eyes are fixated on her eyes.

"Leila," Efrein says, "salamat sa tulong, halika na."

Leila nods her head slowly as her eyes remain looking at his eyes, and a tint of red appears on her cheeks. Efrein commences to walk and Leila does the same while looking down at the ground.

Nana stares at Efrein and Leila until they vanished away from her sight, Snortos glances at Nana only to see her looking at someone. He shifts his eyes toward the direction where she's looking at only to see a group of people walking around.

After the fight, Efrein, Seji, and Relov are now walking casually along the large hallway of an academy; boys and girls are strolling around, there are also two chests on top of each other.

"Psst!" Relov smiled at a pretty girl who has a curvaceous body with a big lip.

The pretty girl looks at Relov and she winks at him, hence she speaks in a masculine deep voice. "Hey, pare. Gandang kasuotan ah."

Seji's eyes broaden and then it was followed by an audible laugh, Relov looks away as his eyes widen, and Efrein contained his laughter by covering his mouth with his hands.

"Not funny..." Relov stared down at the ground leading to his friend's laughter becoming even louder.

Relov furiously looks at each of their faces, he shouts, "HINDI NGA NAKAKATAWA!"

"Bawal ang pagsigaw sa hallway ng academy na ito mga unggoy."

A feminine voice causes them to change their attention towards her, they saw a short yellow-haired woman; she's wearing a dark dress and white shorts underneath her dress, pair of multiple colored socks, and dark shoes.

Her brow is knitting, her eyes are filled with fury, her hand is resting on her waist.

Seji steps ahead of his friends, he stares deep into the short teenager girl's eyes sending chills through her body.

"I despised being glared by a nobody," he said towards the short teenage girl making her run away.

The short teenage girl slowly walks away, and then she proceeds to run at full speed away from them. Efrein and Relov look at each other, and they shift their faces toward Seji.

"That was a bit... Unmelodious," Efrein said.

"Tama lang 'yon sa kabaligtaran." Relov said.

Seji slowly looks at them and his intimidating eyes send shivers to his two pals. "Dapat lang 'yon... Wait, what room did that woman at the enrollment area say?"

"Well... She said 'congratulations! Now you're part of the Section-O," Efrein answered, his eyes still looking away from Seji.

"What time is it?" Seji raised a question.

Relov slowly looks at his watch that's on his wrist. He gulps while his eyes are slowly widening. Efrein looks at Relov's face and at the same time, is confused at their sudden demeanor.

A hand holds the sleeve of Efrein's t-shirt so tight causing him to glances at the person who was Seji, his eyes are widening and it is filled with dread.

Seji's brow contracts to a frown. "E-Efrein... Alam mo b-bang kung ano ang pinaka-ayaw ng mga guro sa mga estudyante?"

"Hindi ba...? Matapang ka, bakit yata bigla kang natatakot diyan?" Efrein confusably stared deep into his eyes with a slightly opened mouth.

Veins appear on Seji's forehead as his eyes look at Efrein's face with furry. "Y-You! Halika na nga!"

Seji holds Efrein's clothed back and then he does the same to his clothed thighs, henceforth he lifts him and runs at great speed.

Relov also run at great speed, making his speed the same with Seji's quickness. Seji shifts his eyes beside him only to see Relov running beside him, and Efrein was looking up at the ceiling of the hallway their running at.

Efrein frowns. "Wait a minute! You two idiots! Are both of you were already enlisted and studying at this academy?!"

Relov looks down at Efrein, as a result, he bows his head agreeing with his question, making Efrein release a deep breath from his mouth.

"OUTDATED BRAT!" Relov shouted.

"Hoy! HUMINTO KAYO!" a masculine voice ranged throughout the whole hallway making Relov and Seji glance behind them.

Relov and Seji's eyes were now filled with intense fear as their heart are beating faster than usual, therefore their speed becomes quicker.

"T-THAT'S!" Seji spoke while he's beginning to run out of stamina.

"The Bringer Of Nightmare! Or also known as Mr. Jeki Kilkent Tempos!" Relov spoke as he grits his teeth; feeling his energy running out.

Efrein grits his teeth as his eyes narrow, he points his hands on the ground.

Relov announces, "Ang Section-O ay nasa dulo ng hallway na ito! Kailangan nating makaligtas o hindi kaya'y—!"

He was cut off by the blastoff of Efrein from his arms; Efrein is now in the mid-air. Efrein flips while landing on the ground, and then he quickly turns around at his two pals.

He raises his hands and points them toward Seji and Relov. The wind appears in front of his palms, and then it expands into a bigger size engulfing Efrein in it. Afterward, it turns into a bigger orb of wind.

Efrein smirks, Jeki jumps toward Efrein as he extends his hand towards the bigger orb of wind, yet the bigger orb of wind launches itself at a fast rate before he can even touch it.

Jeki failed to reach the bigger orb of wind resulting in his deterioration. "YOU PESTS! ALL OF YOU MAY ESCAPE ME BUT YOU CANNOT ESCAPE MY TEACHINGS!"

The bigger orb of wind consumes both Relov and Seji, and so the bigger orb of wind travels forward and fades away beside a closed door.

Relov and Seji falls on the ground whilst Efrein lands perfectly on the ground in a standing position, Relov and Seji stands up.

"Hay nako! Paano mo nagawa 'yon?!" Seji rubbed his clothed arse.

"Basta... Nakakamangha ka!" Relov raised his finger thumb at Efrein making him chuckle.

The closed door opens revealing a teenage boy with grey hair, and a smile on his face, his eyes meet with Efrein's eyes.

"You must be the new student," he said to Efrein.

Afterward, he casually walks toward Efrein. Efrein, Relov, and Seji stare at him idly while in a stance of getting prepared for a fight.

The boy with the grey hair smiles as he closes his eyes. "Hindi ako naparito upang saktan ka o kayo, bagkus tulad mo'y ako rin ay isang bagong estudyante."

He opens his eyes as he moves his face around, and then he looks at Efrein, Relov, and Seji.

He says, "Halina kayo bago pa pumasok ang unang guro natin."

Ergo, the boy with grey hair turns around and walks towards the door of Section-O. Efrein, Relov, and Seji look at each other and hence they nod.

All of them start to walk towards the door.
