Going for Orphanage

"Bhumit can I ask you something?"  Serene said the moment she saw Bhumit coming inside Soham's office. "Can you come too after your classes end over here to discuss assignments?"

Bhumit smiled gently and said "Of course why not...." Then his eyes automatically went towards the dangerous eyes which were eyeing him all along.

"Gre-" 

"Nooo!!" Bhumit shouted before Serene could say anything happy.

Bhumit already understands Soham's gaze and denies her. "I mean you can ask the question but the answer is no..."

"Why?" She pouted, by his rudeness.

"Because I don't have time. I have some family problems." He smiled forcefully.

She gaped her lips lightly with understanding "Oh okay..." She softly said.

Varun looked confused and asked "Why are you asking for company, when you already have Soham." 

Serene smiled bitterly 'That's why I am asking me!' 

Bhumit held Varun's collar with Roy who was silently standing beside Serene seat and dragged them outside to help his friend.

Later Serene discussed their assignment for 2 hours straight. All this time Serene never felt uncomfortable or angry for Soham. 

They discussed things very professionally and Serene was very impressed by his ideas and the sources he provided to her. She finally understood why he topped every exam. From then on she looked at him in a new light.

They only stopped when Harry called her.

"Yes I am coming" Serene said on the phone and hung up. Then he looked towards Soham and said apologetically "Sorry Seni- Soham I need to go now. But I will finish what you asked by tomorrow and bring it over here." 

Soham just nodded his head in affirmation. 

Serene packed her stuff and went out of his office.

The moment she left a soft sigh was released by Soham in annoyance. He never had thought that he would actually enjoy spending time with a girl in this life. He wanted her to come back. He kept looking at the door for quite a while before leaving too.

"Hey, are you going to the orphanage today?" Harry asked on the phone.

"Yeah just in 10 minutes i'll leave." Serene replied hastily. She is late by 10 minutes already.

"You are late?" Harry playfully asked. He knows her very well. She isn't a punctual type person at all.

"No of course nottttt-" And she fell!

"Serene! Are you all right?" Harry asked worriedly. He shouldn't have called her. She must be distracted by him.

"Ahhh, yeah I am fine but our floor tile is broken by my thermos then me." Serene replied weekly. She got hurt too obviously. Her back hurts like hell.

"Don't worry about that. Just be careful now."

"Yeah yeah I am all right. Now I am hanging up bye take care"

"Biee you too." Both hung up.

"Damn you Serene! When will you know how to walk properly!" She got up with the help of a chair by her side slowly. And went out of the house and called a taxi for convenience.

"Hello Serene! Good to see you here. Kids were missing you badly"

Serene gently smiled and started walking ahead of him because she knew he would slow down anyway, if she walked by his side. "Sorry I got busied" 

The man walking behind is her subordinate who helps her to manage orphanage affairs in her care. Though Serene convinced him to call her informally, he couldn't help and walked always behind her to inspect everything for her.

Serene tried to visit the orphanage at least twice a month. Sometimes every week of the month. She loves to spend time with kids, she makes sure that kids will be given ethics education too with other studies. 

She strictly prohibited bullies. The kids here were all genuine to her about their feelings. She also makes a confession room with a child psychiatrist and priest to help them in as positive a way as she can.

"So how are things going over here?" Serene asked.

"All good. Kids are doing great emotionally and physically. Moreover this time all our children did well in the exam."

"Great. So where are my kids?" She asked enthusiastically. She missed them a lot.

"Some are taking tution, some are having their snacks in the cafeteria and some are in the playground." Head master replied.

"Okay, when tution kids and cafeteria kids will be done, inform them that I am in the playground." She said and went towards the playground without waiting for a second.
