“You have some other idea, though.”
“I do,” Bonnie said. And this was it. There was no delaying the big moment anymore. “Because that’s the stuff queer people usedto do.”
She could almost hear Tina thinking, trying to sort out the riddle.
“Come on,” Bonnie said after a moment. “It was summer, but the Pink Triangle Society still threw a giant party to celebrate this.”
“Marriage equality?”
“Marriage. Equality.”
“Marriage equality.” The question mark had left Tina’s sentence, but she still sounded dubious.
“Tina, we’ve had a million conversations about this. We went to panels on this. We were just picturing old people when we talked about it.”
“Wow, yeah, you’re right.”
