Chapter 46: Guests Have Arrived

"This is different from the rest of the country."

A young man with blond hair says that while looking around the place. This man is Dulio Gesualdo, the Strongest Exorcist. He has blond and green eyes that shine with kindness, but behind those eyes is a power that can destroy a country.

"Quite. There is something more fresh in this place than the other places."

Standing next to Dulio is a giant of a man. He is an old man in his late seventies. He is more than two meters tall with a body that would put any bodybuilder to shame. His entire body is screaming power and doom to his enemy. This man is Vasco Strada, the Strongest Human. He can go toe-to-toe against an ultimate devil with nothing but his fist.

"Yeah. I wonder if they are willing to accept us."

"They already accept us into their territory, Dulio. The people that are watching us do not make a move against us."

Dulio and Vasco can feel the people hidden among the trees around them. The priests and exercises that come with them do not notice their presence, but the two monsters already know about their presence from kilometers away.

"No. Not the Millefiore Family. I mean the people living in that place, Vindice City. Will they accept us? Romania is one of the countries with the largest Christian population by percentage in Europe and the world. Will they accept us for arriving after they have a happy life instead of before where they are struggling?"

"Of course, they will be happy, Sir Gesualdo!"

One of the priests says with a smile on his face.

"They must be struggling to maintain this place, and with our help, they can continue their peaceful life. We are coming here to help them, after all."

Dulio releases a sigh because he knows the reason why the priest says those words. They do not know the real news. They only know that humanity manages to push the vampire away from Bucharest, and the church wants to build a relationship between the church and the Millefiore Family.

In their mind, the Millefiore Family only manage to build the city of Vindice because they are lucky to defeat the Tepes Clan in battle but struggle to maintain the territory. They do not know that the Millefiore Family won multiple encounters and are now planning on going on the offensive.

This is what happens when you forbid technology from your priests. They do not know that the internet is already blazing with the news of the Millefiore winning against the Tepes Faction, and many forums already speculate about their next move.

Dulio looks at the city not too far away from him and cannot help but smile. He might be worried that the people of Vindice hate them for their inaction, but with the Lord of Millefiore Family offering them an olive branch, he knows that they are stepping closer to an alliance.

He knows that the church needs more alliance as of late. The Heaven Faction might have a good standing in the world, but the Church is not much. The other Pantheon hates how the church spreads like a virus across the world, and they are rather aggressive in spreading their religion.

So, while the Heaven Faction is well-liked because the others know the angels will never betray any promise they made, the other Pantheons hate the church because of their past actions and current actions against them.

This is why the Pope wants to create an alliance between any human factions and the church. Sadly, Dulio also knows that the Pope only wants humans in this alliance. He knows that the Millefiore Family will not accept an alliance between them unless the Pope declares the Youkai Faction as a member of the alliance.

And Dulio knows that will never happen because the majority of the human factions are rather racist. There is no way the Pope will discard the long-time ally that is reliable and supports the Pope for a new faction that has a chance of disagreeing with the Pope.

Sometimes, Dulio wonders if he can spread the word of God without politics getting in the way. He wants to be someone who helps people in need and not used as a political tool to increase the church's power.

His biggest dream is that somehow Heaven has the ability to resurrect someone and change their race into that of an angel so that he can break free from the politics of the church. Sadly, his dream is far away from him as only the Devilkind can resurrect someone into their race.

"We are here."

Dulio snaps from his thoughts when he hears Vasco's voice. He can see the barrier around the city in front of him. As a guest, he cannot enter the barrier without permission from the owner of the city or the barrier. So he puts his palm on the barrier and gives a 'knock' to notify the owner of the barrier.

After a couple of minutes, he saw a group of people walking toward them. Dulio cannot help but gasp at the sight in front of him. As a high-ranking exorcist, he trains his senses to the highest degree that he can see someone's aura. This helps him know if that person is a good person or not. Not only that, it will also let him assess someone's strength. It is a dollar general version of Senjutsu.

What appears in front of him is a rainbow color of aura. Because Aura from RWBY is the manifestation of the soul into reality, someone who can see aura will be able to see a solid aura around the person instead of a small light that appears every few seconds before disappearing.

Not only that, Dulio also knows that they are powerful. However, his eyes cannot help but land on a fedora-wearing toddler sitting on the person leading the group. It is like seeing the sun, which makes his eyes hurt a little because of how bright the toddler is.

He deactivated his technique and looked to the side to see Vasco also do the same. He is not the only one who wants to assess the people before them.

"Welcome to Vindice. How is your journey?"

Vasco walks forward and says.

"It was a pleasant journey. My name is Vasco Strada, and I am the leader of this small group."

"Well met, Vasco Strada. My name is Valerian Millefiore, the Lord of Millefiore Family and the Lord of Vindice City. Please come inside. We shall talk in my manor."
