Arc1: i'm worried

Nam-su p.o.v:

i'm so tired ,with all these dirty bags of daemons showing up this month i couldn't even take a 5 min without one showing up and so my energy has been constantly draining out of me, i really wish i can hang out with kim, i've been negligent towards him that he even started associating with trash they even had the audacity to ask me bring him to them, i truly don't get him ,he's too sweet for all that ,how dare they try to dirty my cute son's mind.

"weird ?? he's usually here by this time unless he's going to be late, or tried to ditch class but i don't think he will next week are exams unless... " worried that something might happened to him i call him,

"i just woke up , i'm running my way there ,help me out Nam-su"he answered me with a sleepy voice

"so he overslept ha ", i sigh

in lunch ,i kept talking to no stop blowing out some steam but then i realized that kim joon was looking at me absent-minded and i could also sense that he was worried about something he usually crack some stupid joke or play some trick even when he's down .

i try to take back his attention but then he looked hesitant and scared ,making an anxious face as if he was trying to make a decision

he started talking while stuttering ,

"hmm well... ,you won't believe what i saw yesterday in the forest ,that scene won't leave my mind it was so scary ,there was this woman that was screaming for help and when i went to check it out i found a man but he didn't look normal at all he had this gloomy aura and half of his body disfigured ,he... ...he...held ..her and he squeezed her out like a chiffon full of water .i might be hallucinating but it felt so real and ....and..."

my poor son ,he was trying not to cry but i still can see a droplet of tear between his tick eyelashes it truly made him looking pitiful and i swear i felt my heart squeeze in that moment.

i had my assumptions ,from what i heard it indeed looked like some kind of daemon but that was impossible ,the daemon would have sensed him unless he was an irregular which i doubt or that daemon is trying to hunt and play with he's victim ,this explanation made more sense ,the woman that died was running away the daemon would have easily caught her, she won't be able to take 2 steps away from him before he cut her head ,but he didn't ,if this is true then kim is his next target .

kim looked relaxed and embarrassed after my lie about filming a movie ,he bid me farewell as i look at his back getting smaller and smaller , i couldn't hold back my blood thirst ,this daemon is out for blood ,he dare target my best friend .

"wait" i stood up,"why isn't he wearing the necklace ?"

3 years ago a i put in his necklace a powder that makes a barrier when being attacked by daemons ,he always wore it even while taking a shower.due to this i decided to wait for him after school and ask him about it.

time skip

i frowned i kept waiting in front of the college entrance but he didn't show up ,did i miss him??

(i'm in my way home ,sorry i didn't wait for you ,i don't feel good so i head back first)

( i took the long path ,you know the one with the supermarket building still in construction ,i just entered the small mall near by it to buy some groceries)
