She opened the curtains, the light beam entered the room and I couldn't resist waking up. I groaned softly as I felt her tender peck on my cheek.

"Good morning" she said to me. I kissed her softly on her sweet lips, I could imagine myself in paradise. smiles on our both faces. "last night was so much fun" she whispered to my ears. I'm Nonso, a boy from a small town in Nigeria. I ran out to reach her in the washroom,she was throwing up. I helped her Clean up and laid her on the bed with her face tilted upward. she's my girlfriend, Nonye. Nonye was already sobbing and mumbling "I don't wanna be sick". I curdled her to keep her calm, she was running temperature already. "I'm feeling feverish" she said..

Nurse: How may I help you? she asked, while we enter the waiting room in a private hospital across the town.

we were issued a card containing our registered details and asked to wait for the doctor. "I hate hospitals, the smell is irritating me already" Nonye said. I looked at her weary face, pecked her on the forehead and assured her is gonna be fine.

We were called into the doctor's office. After thorough examination, my heart beat faster than I could imagine while trying to depict the look on the doctor's face. Doctor Kelvin read the result.

while in the taxi going back to my small hostel room, we couldn't look in each other's face. we were both dumbfounded. tears roll down her soft cheeks. I couldn't find the right words to say to her. we were already in a big mess because we can't carry out the responsibilities of being parents.
