Elder

Inside of the tower, a man and ghastly figure could be seen inside of a massive court yard. In the clear blue sky, an artificial sun reflected warm rays over the courtyard. A massive building with red marble like stone and golden rooftop and design outlines stood of the in the background of the two fugures.

A river filled with fish of all sizes ran through the courtyard. Various aromas from the massive garden filled the air with an herbal and fruity aroma.

Qwen was sitting in the lotus position clueless as to what was happening outside of the dungeon. He had a book in his hand with a cover made of some kind of beast skin.

This wasnt the system so Qwen had to physically read the books that Elder gave him. While flipping through the pages Qwen listened to Elder speak on improving his cultivation. Hes was essentially a cultivation coach among other things at this point.

"We have many things for you to learn but you would still need years to master any of it. As we both know you don't have that long. You have assisted alot by completing your body stage. We are going to speed your cultivation along. I have alchemy pills and spirit stones to assist you for now.

Although your cultivation technique is amazing even in the immortal plane its is not as powerful as my personal technique."

He said pridefully. He continued on speaking with his hands and making gestures strange to Qwen.

"Before I transferred my spirit energy into this tower I harnessed the voids spirit devouring ability.

The ability is able to absorb spirit energy without limit. The downside is there is no limit. The body had to be able to withstand the energy that is absorbed or it will explode.

The technique is broken down into different levels and grows with the cultivator cultivation realm. In my hundred millions of years I have never seen a technique so profound and without limits. Sadly I was never able to use it."

I imprinted the manual on this paper talisman with memory seals."

A foor long paper had appeared of thin air and floated over to Qwen.

"Now, put it to your forehead and channel your spirit energy into it."

Qwen grabbed the paper and applied his spirit energy. The words turned into light before flying into his skull. The talisman now a blank paper. By now Qwen was used to information forcefully being implanted into his brain so he was used to the numbness or or sometimes painful feeling that comes with it.

Turning his focus back to Elder he nodded to show it was done. The Elder contiued.

Normally, it would take hundreds of year to advance stages. Yet, you people have bathes in pure spirit energy for millions years. Even though you could never harness the power of it. Yet, it doesn't mean it didn't offered any benefits to humanity.

There will be fewer bottlenecks between breakthroughs there are any at all. Body constitution and bloodlines will be awakened by the thousands of not tens of millions once the masses learn cultivation. Some of them so rare that they are a once in a million lifetime kind of uniqueness. If the humans on this planet cultivate, I don't see how they would not survive what comes."

Qwen nodded his head. He didn't care about the world. He just cared about survival and his new love, power. He loved to stay ahead of the pack since he had gotten the System and he found himself craving the excitement.

He never had a family most of his life until since the twins had come into his life. Things had changed and he felt some what responsible for them dispite not being sure why. Possibly because he subconsciously was tired of being alone and wanted companions he could rely on.

It was also just something about seeing their dead parents being mutilated while they were forced to watched. Something clicked inside of Qwen that day. He felt that he needed to watch over them to make sure they had a world they can grow up in. It gave him a purpose he never had in the past.

He looked back at Elder to show he was still paying attention. The old man sure liked to talk.

"Good. You have to strengthen your Dantian to the proper size so that you can begin to open your 7 main acupoints. Your Dantian is your power source almost like your earth batteries. Once its depleted you will solely rely on physical strength. Spiritual energy has many forms and a sole physical defense is asking for disasters.

Once you finish the Sage devourer manual in a few days we can move onto-"

"Finished."

"What?"

"I'm finished reading your manual. So you said you had a way to speed up this entire process?"

"Huh? That's imposs- *cough*"

Elder quickly stopped himself from being amazed. He had to maintain his master-student image to keep his pride as a supreme existence. He cleared his throat and kept talking while ignoring Qwens smug face.

"Yes, well then show me. Absorb these low quality spirit crystals."

Qwen walked up to the small pile and closed his eyes. He mentally recited the mantra over and ove until the spirit crystals began to glow before exploding into sand like lights and flew into Qwens pours making him glow faintly.

BOOM

Qwen had a break through to the middle 'Chi consolidation realm' in seconds.

Elder would have lost his breath if he still had any. That didn't stop him from hilariously mimicking the action.

"He broke through in moments. He actually not only learned it but mastered the first stage after flipping through the manual once. This speed is ungodly! His constitution due to his 'Sage body' is amazing."

'It took Elder years to learn the first stage of that technique and this man had done it one sit in.' He thought to himself.

He was instantly envious of Qwen. Then, he was downcast and to why he couldn't have such ungoly talent! Next, he suddenly became excited. If he was the master of a disiple this breathe would be put in legends and remember for all time.

Qwen on the other hand, figure he had done something right seeing all the strange and scary faces that Elder made at him. The creepy ghost looked at Qwen like he was a piece of meat.

'Hehehehe'

"In 7 days time come back here. During that time I want you to read all of the books in the library. I want you to learn and master as many skills as possible in that timeframe. You are in a short time delay. Every 3 days inside is 24 outside.

I have to absorb more spirit energy to get stronger. I need you to place me somewhere where I can absorb the pure energy from the planet. That way I can grant you more access to all of the tower facilities.

I can only grant you and up to 10 other spirit souls access to the library for now. That will change as you grow stronger.

To exit, just say the word 'leave' with the intent to leave the tower. You can return the same way by saying 'enter' with the intent to enter the tower.

"Alright Elder. I've kept my companions waiting long enough. I'll leave me your Tower on my neck until I can find somewhere to place you. Can you still absorb spirit energy while tiny?"

"Yes, but to a lesser degree. Once I am at full size I can increase the towers absorption by magnitudes."

"Also, can you fit people inside?"

Qwen asked.

"Yes, but if they are stronger than you then they will have to agree to come inside. If they are weaker, they can easily be forced if they do not want to come. I'm not just a tower. I'm also a weapon but you'll learn all of that in the library.

For now, I need to think of proper methods for your growth. Get out."

Qwen ignored the rude old ghost. Dispite his sometimes sour attitude, he was a wealth of information about cultivation that he just wouldn't have otherwise.

"Leave."

A bright colored door opened infront of Qwen and he stepped through.

Qwen left Elder and the tower and was now back in the dungeon. He then agreed to the Systens prompt and left the dungeon also.

When he got outside. He didn't see the twins so he assumed they were at the hotel. Summoning his wings he immediately took off into the night's sky back towards the hotel.

An hour later, he arrived above the building. His speed had increase drastically after making a breakthrough in the tower.

He was going to go into his room and read some of the books Elder had given him before he left.

Qwen entered the lobby and headed to the elevator he pressed the button to the 56th floor and waited for the doors to close. He hoped Lisa had cooked a meal to eat he was starving.
