A Special Briefing

I quickly went back to the bedroom, before Alessander or his cousin could notice me. I went under the covers, when I heard him open the door and step inside.

"Sorry, I took too much time getting back here." He said, setting the jar next to me. He got in bed, acting like nothing had just happened. He wrapped his arms around me, "Are you still awake?"

I didn't answer and I didn't look at him, my head was filled with thoughts and I felt that if I opened my mouth, I would've ended up crying in front of him.

Just how much more would I make him suffer?

The next morning I woke up to see Alessander had been summoned to an emergency briefing. I figured I'd have the whole day to myself, but I found out that I was also summoned for a briefing of my own.

I could smell the bullshit as clearly as I could the scent of cigarettes and cologne, as I stepped into what looked like a large drawing room.
