What would most do if they got one? Seek power? Glory? Women? Maybe I would want the same thing. Its time I found out. But first I need to survive to find out. Clash Of Titans (Part 2)

(Third Person POV)

Carter felt the world shift around him as Battle Beast smacked him around. Grabbing the beast by his leg, Carter threw him away and slammed a full-power heat vision blast at him.

The fight has been going on for almost a day now, and the wear and tear has begun to show. Both Carter's and Battle Beast's outfits were in tatters, as the planet itself was nothing more than cracked tectonic plates and molten lava.

"Okay, that had to do something," Carter grumbled as he looked in the direction he had sent the battle beast.

He didn't have to look far to find his opponent. Battle Beast stood across from him, his massive form towering like a monolith against the alien sky.

The feline warrior's white fur was matted with blood, some of it Carter's, but his eyes gleamed with that same maddening hunger for combat. The kind that could only be satisfied by an opponent who could push him to the very brink.

For a moment, they simply stared at each other, both of them breathing heavily, their bodies battered and bruised. Yet, in Battle Beast's gaze, there was no weariness, only the thrill of battle. In Carter's eyes, there was something different. Determination. Calculation.

He could feel his Viltrumite physiology and regeneration working overtime, his bones mending, muscles knitting together as the adrenaline surged through him. But he knew he couldn't rely on that alone. He was getting genuinely tired. This wasn't just about strength or resilience; it was about outsmarting a warrior who had survived countless battles.

Carter flexed his fingers, feeling the familiar hum of telekinetic energy coursing through them. His mind was a weapon just as potent as his body. The key was to use everything at his disposal.

Battle Beast's voice rumbled across the wasteland. "I've fought gods, Viltrumite. I've broken the wills of kings and shattered the spirits of the strongest. Do you truly believe you can win?"

Carter's jaw tightened. He wasn't here for a philosophical debate. He was here to survive. "We'll see."

In an instant, Battle Beast charged, his sword slicing through the air with blinding speed. Carter didn't flinch. Instead, he teleported a fraction of a second before the blade would have connected, reappearing behind the feline warrior. His eyes flashed, beams of intense heat vision searing toward the back of Battle Beast's head.

But Battle Beast was ready. With reflexes honed over centuries of battle, he twisted mid-swing, the sword's flat side catching the beams, deflecting them harmlessly into the sky.

Carter had anticipated the move. While Battle Beast was focused on deflecting the beams, Carter reached out with his mind, telekinetically gripping the ground beneath the warrior's feet.

With a thought, he ripped the earth upward, creating a massive stone hand that enveloped Battle Beast, squeezing with the force of a collapsing star.

For a brief second, Carter thought he had him. But the thought was short-lived. Battle Beast's roar of defiance echoed across the landscape as he flexed his impossibly strong muscles. The stone hand shattered like glass, debris exploding in every direction.

Carter teleported just in time, narrowly avoiding a boulder-sized chunk of rock. Reappearing several meters away, he watched Battle Beast shake the last remnants of stone from his fur, his eyes burning with fury.

"Your tricks won't save you, Viltrumite!" Battle Beast growled, his sword already swinging toward Carter.

But Carter wasn't there. He was above, descending from the sky with fists ablaze with kinetic energy. He crashed into Battle Beast with the force of a meteor, driving the warrior into the ground with a thunderous impact. The earth buckled, and shockwaves rippled outward, tearing through the wasteland.

The dust settled, and Carter crouched over the crater, his fists still glowing. But as he peered down, his heart sank. Battle Beast was rising from the rubble, his face twisted into a savage grin. The blow had hurt him; Carter could tell by how he favored his left side. But it wasn't enough. Not nearly enough.

Battle Beast's laughter was low and menacing. "You hit harder than most. I'll give you that. But I am far from finished."

Carter barely had time to react before Battle Beast lunged, his sword coming at him in a deadly arc. With a burst of telekinesis, Carter deflected the blade, but the force behind it was staggering, sending him skidding backward.

Before Carter could regain his footing, Battle Beast was upon him, slashing and striking with the ferocity of a predator. Carter ducked, dodged, and deflected as best he could, using his telekinesis to create barriers and shockwaves to keep the warrior at bay.

But Battle Beast was relentless, his sword cutting through the air like a whirlwind, each strike a hair's breadth away from decapitating Carter.

Then, in a move Carter hadn't anticipated, Battle Beast feigned a slash to the left and struck with his claws instead. Carter felt the sharp pain as Battle Beast's claws raked across his side, tearing through his suit and flesh alike.

The pain was excruciating, but Carter didn't scream. He gritted his teeth, his vision blurring from the intensity of it. In a desperate move, he unleashed a telekinetic wave in all directions, forcing Battle Beast back just long enough for him to teleport to safety.

Carter reappeared high above the battlefield, one hand clutching his side. Blood oozed between his fingers, and his head swam with dizziness. He could feel his Viltrumite cells already working to heal the wound, but it would take time time he didn't have.

He needed a new strategy. Something Battle Beast wouldn't see coming.

Carter's mind raced. Battle Beast was a force of nature, a living embodiment of war, but even he had limits.

He glanced down at the desolate landscape, scanning it with his X-ray vision. The earth below was riddled with caverns and fault lines, weak points he could exploit.

He felt the weight of the atmosphere, the planet's magnetic fields, and the faint pulses of geothermal energy far beneath the surface.

A plan began to form in his mind.

Carter focused, reaching out with his telekinesis, not to attack Battle Beast directly but to manipulate the forces around them. He subtly shifted the gravity field, increasing the pull beneath Battle Beast just enough to slow him down.

At the same time, he teleported to the ground, where he began drawing in energy from the planet itself, feeling the heat, the pressure, the very skeleton of the world coalescing around him.

Battle Beast charged again, but this time, Carter was ready. He planted his feet, the ground beneath him crackling with power. With a thought, he unleashed the telekinetic energy he had gathered, channeling it into a focused seismic blast that erupted beneath Battle Beast.

The ground split open, creating a massive fissure that swallowed Battle Beast whole. Carter followed up with another telekinetic surge, collapsing the earth around the fissure and burying Battle Beast under tons of rock and debris.

For a moment, there was silence. The wasteland was still, save for the settling dust.

But Carter knew better than to believe it was over. He could still feel Battle Beast's presence, that indomitable will pushing back against the weight of the earth.

And then, with a thunderous crash, Battle Beast exploded from the ground, his body wreathed in dust and molten rock. His eyes locked onto Carter's, burning with unquenchable rage.

"You think this can stop me?" Battle Beast roared, his voice carrying over the wasteland. "I've survived worse than this a thousand times over! I have had entire worlds destroy their own planets just to keep me down! This is child's play!"

Carter didn't respond. He was already moving, teleporting across the battlefield rapidly, staying one step ahead of Battle Beast's relentless pursuit. He fired beams of heat vision in quick bursts, aiming for the weak points he'd identified: the joints in Battle Beast's armor, the vulnerable spots beneath his fur.

But each strike, though precise, seemed only to fuel Battle Beast's fury. The warrior roared, swinging his sword in broad, sweeping arcs that carved through the air with deadly precision. Carter barely managed to avoid the strikes, each one close enough to feel the rush of air as the blade passed by.

He needed to change tactics again. This fight wasn't about wearing Battle Beast down but finding that perfect moment to strike.

Carter's mind raced, calculating and analyzing every possible outcome as he darted across the battlefield. He couldn't afford to rely solely on brute force.

Battle Beast's endurance was seemingly limitless, and his ferocity only grew with each exchange. Carter needed to find an advantage, a weakness he could exploit, or else this fight would drag on until he was nothing more than a smear on the ground.

Battle Beast was closing the distance again, moving with terrifying speed for someone of his size. His roar echoed across the wasteland, a primal sound that resonated deep in Carter's chest. It spoke of endless battles fought and endless victories won.

But Carter wasn't ready to concede.

He teleported again, appearing behind Battle Beast and unleashing a concentrated blast of telekinetic force. The shockwave hit Battle Beast squarely in the back, driving him forward, but the feline warrior merely rolled with the impact, springing to his feet with a growl.

Carter didn't give him a chance to recover. He teleported above Battle Beast, firing a barrage of heat vision beams that rained down like meteors.

Battle Beast roared in defiance, slashing through the beams with his sword, each strike dispersing the energy harmlessly. Carter knew his heat vision alone wouldn't be enough to stop Battle Beast, but it wasn't about doing damage. It was about keeping him off balance, about forcing him to react rather than act.

Carter could feel the battle taking its toll. His Viltrumite healing factor worked overtime, but every second in this fight pushed him closer to his limits. His muscles burned with exertion, and his mind strained from the constant use of his telekinesis and teleportation. But he couldn't stop now. He had to keep going, had to push past the pain and fatigue.

He had to find a way to end this.

Battle Beast charged again, his sword a blur of motion as he brought it down in a powerful overhead strike. Carter teleported out of the way, but the shockwave from the sword's impact shattered the ground beneath him, sending him sprawling.

He quickly regained his footing, but Battle Beast was already on him, closing the distance with a speed that seemed impossible for his size.

In time, Carter barely managed to raise a telekinetic barrier, the force of Battle Beast's strike shattering it like glass. The impact sent Carter flying, his back slamming into a nearby rock formation.

He felt a sharp pain in his ribs but didn't have time to dwell on it. He rolled to the side as Battle Beast's sword cleaved through the rock, splitting it in two.

This was getting nowhere. Whenever Carter thought he had an opening, Battle Beast would counter, his combat instincts honed to perfection. Carter needed something more, something that Battle Beast wouldn't expect.

Then, an idea struck him.

Carter's eyes narrowed as he focused, extending his telekinetic senses far beyond the immediate battlefield. He reached deep into the planet's crust, feeling the molten rivers of magma that flowed far beneath the surface. It was a risky move that could backfire spectacularly, but Carter was out of options.

He poured his energy into the ground, using his telekinesis to tear open the earth and draw the magma upward. The ground beneath Battle Beast began to crack and tremble, and the warrior paused, sensing the shift in the battlefield.

Carter didn't give him a chance to react. With a massive burst of telekinetic force, he ripped the ground apart, and a geyser of molten lava erupted beneath Battle Beast, engulfing him in a torrent of superheated rock.

For a moment, all Carter could see was the blinding glow of the lava, the intense heat washing over him even from a distance. He hovered above the ground, breathing ragged as he watched the inferno below. He knew Battle Beast's strength was formidable, but he couldn't survive submerging in molten rock.

Could he?

The ground rumbled, and Carter's hopes of victory were dashed as Battle Beast emerged from the lava. His fur was singed, and his armor was glowing red-hot, but he was still very much alive. His eyes blazed with fury, and his muscles tensed with rage as he roared, the sound reverberating across the landscape like the roar of a lion.

Carter barely had time to react before Battle Beast launched himself at him, moving with a speed that belied his massive frame.

Carter teleported out of the way, reappearing behind the warrior, but Battle Beast was ready. He swung his sword in a wide arc, forcing Carter to backpedal to avoid being decapitated.

Battle Beast didn't relent, pressing his attack with a series of powerful blows that Carter could barely keep up with. The sword sliced through the air, each strike carrying enough force to split mountains. Carter dodged, parried with telekinetic barriers, and countered with blasts of heat vision, but it was clear that Battle Beast was gaining the upper hand.

Carter needed to slow him down and buy himself time to think. He focused his telekinesis on the ground beneath Battle Beast, turning it into quicksand that sucked at his feet. Battle Beast growled in frustration as he struggled to free himself, but Carter knew it wouldn't hold him for long.

He had to think of something fast.

Carter's eyes flicked to Battle Beast's sword, noting how it absorbed and redirected energy. It was a formidable weapon that some ancient, forgotten civilization had likely forged. But it had a weakness—one that Carter intended to exploit.

As Battle Beast freed himself from the quicksand and charged again, Carter teleported above him, aiming for the sword's hilt. He reached out with his telekinesis, gripping the weapon with all his might, and twisted. The sword wrenched in Battle Beast's grip, the unexpected move throwing off his balance.

Carter didn't hesitate. He poured all his telekinetic energy into the sword, amplifying the magnetic fields around it, and then forced them to repel. The sword exploded from Battle Beast's hand, flying off into the distance and embedding itself in a far-off rock formation.

Battle Beast's eyes widened in surprise as he looked down at his now empty hand. Carter didn't give him time to recover. He followed up with a telekinetic punch that sent Battle Beast flying across the battlefield, crashing into a cliffside with enough force to create a massive crater.

Carter didn't wait to see if Battle Beast would rise again. He teleported to the cliffside, his fists blazing with kinetic energy as he unleashed a barrage of blows. Each punch landed with the force of a missile, the ground shaking with every impact.

Battle Beast roared in pain and fury, his body battered and bruised, but he was far from defeated. He lashed out with his claws, catching Carter across the chest and sending him flying back.

Carter skidded to a halt, blood pouring from the fresh wounds, but he ignored the pain. He couldn't afford to let up now.

He focused his mind, reaching out with his telekinesis to lift Battle Beast into the air, holding him aloft like a marionette. Battle Beast struggled against the invisible force, his muscles bulging as he fought to break free.

Carter could feel the strain of holding him, the immense power of Battle Beast pushing back against his telekinesis. It was like holding back a hurricane, but Carter didn't relent. He squeezed harder, feeling the pressure mount, until finally, with a massive burst of effort, he hurled Battle Beast into the sky.

The feline warrior shot upward like a missile, breaking through the atmosphere and into the void of space. Carter teleported after him, reappearing just as Battle Beast reached the apex of his ascent. The cold vacuum of space surrounded them, the distant stars twinkling in the darkness.

Carter knew this was his chance—his only chance. He gathered all the energy he could muster, focusing it on his fists as he prepared for one final strike.

Battle Beast growled, his eyes locking onto Carter's, his body coiled and ready to attack. Even now, he was unyielding after his multiple wounds; his warrior spirit was undiminished.

But Carter had one last trick up his sleeve.

He reached out with his telekinesis, not at Battle Beast, but at the fabric of space around them. He twisted it, bending the light, the gravity, and the magnetic fields, creating a small gravitational well that sucked them both in.

Battle Beast's eyes widened as he felt the singularity's pull, his body struggling against the immense gravitational forces. Carter used the momentary distraction to his advantage.

He teleported directly in front of Battle Beast. He unleashed his final attack—a punch that carried all of his kinetic energy, all of his telekinetic power, and all of his Viltrumite strength.

The impact was explosive. The force of the blow shattered the gravitational well, sending shockwaves rippling through the fabric of space. Battle Beast was flung backward, his body hurtling into the atmosphere at impossible speeds.

Carter hovered in space, his body trembling with exhaustion. He had given everything he had in that last strike, and now, as he watched Battle Beast disappear into the distance, he knew that the battle was over.

Or so he thought.

A faint growl reached his ears, carried through the thin atmosphere of the alien planet below. Battle Beast was still alive, still fighting, his warrior's spirit unbroken. But Carter saw something in his eyes for the first time—a flicker of respect.

Carter looked down at the planet below, at the wasteland they had created in their battle. He could already see the fractures in the planet's crust, the signs of an impending cataclysm. He couldn't stay here any longer.

Carter rushed Battle Beast before he could react, grabbed the giant being, and threw him into another dimension. He wanted to keep him alive for later when he needed a training partner.

Before he could jump through the portal, Carter closed it right on him, causing his arm to get chopped off to Carter, simply through the arm back through a smaller portal.

With a final, weary sigh, Carter teleported back to Earth, leaving the desolate dimension. He kept this world in mind for later and the memory of Battle Beast behind him.

Even now, he could feel his muscles and broken bones knitting back together, and to be honest, he could leave Battle Beast here, and he would never have to worry about him again after flipping the fleeing battle beats the bird. Carter returned to his Earth.

Besides, it didn't matter if Battle Beast was left roaming that dimension as during the fight, Carter had managed to slip a tracker into Battle Beast's body, so if you need a sparring partner, he can find him again for round two.

(Well, Carter managed to survive this fight and gain an unwilling training partner. Do be aware that Battle Beast fought Thragg nearly to a standstill, so I think he's doing a pretty good job during the first month of the jump.)
