"I- I just wanted to thank you for the chicken. Yeah." That's kind of true as I needed to thank him. "Is that so?" He raised his brows nodding his head. It looks like he did not buy what I said. "What? I'm serious. Thank you for the chicken."
"Anyway, you should go back and rest early." He quietly stated after chuckling a bit at my previous statement. I did not want to go inside now. I wanted to stay with him for a little more. "Okay." Yet, I couldn't really tell him. "Goodnight" He smiled as he waved at me signaling me to go inside before him. "Goodnight."
I went back inside not quite content with how I acted. Still, it's all new to me. I never experienced these feelings to anyone before. All these feelings that were engulfing me, making me anxious and nervous, but in a good way. Not like how I used to feel when I was surrounded by the people that made me dread being alive. I took a deep breath while walking to my bed, no matter how long I sit and think, I could never know how he feels, neither if what I feel is really love nor just the need for the attention and care he gives me after being left out all these years.

MARK POV:
"Goodnight." She soothingly answered back before going inside. I stood there for a good minute, trying to arrange my thoughts. I was out all day as I had a meeting at Mount Olympus with the team responsible of this mission. I sighed remembering the meeting as I knew I needed to take a step further.
"Her heart has started to glow a bit of a golden color." Jean stated looking seriously at me. "Gold?" I unsurely asked as I was unaware of what she meant.
"It looks like you didn't really focus in your classes before." Raoul chuckled at Hecate's comment. I can't get angry on them, one wrong move and I'm out. "He may have not focused before, but looking at how fast he made Everly fall in love with him" Jean interrupted them "looking at the progress he have made over the past few weeks, I could proudly say that it's amazing. It's not that easy, you should know that." She defended me as Hecate smiled lightly.
"It's not that I'm making fun of him. It's just that Aseseus wants to be part of the main gods, but he still has a long road to go. He doesn't even know the heart colors meanings and-"
"Hecate,it sure is that he has a long road to go, all of us were at a point where we had a lot to work on ourselves to make sure we deserve to be one of the main gods. Yet, here we are. Anyway, let's talk about the main stuff… Raoul… Can you explain about the heart colors?" Raoul nodded as he turned slightly to my side.
"The heart color we are talking about can only be seen by the guardian angel of the human. In normal times, the heart of a human doesn't glow. It glows only when strong feelings evade the human's heart. Everly's heart is starting to turn into a glowing gold, which means love."
Hearing those words made me happy for some reason. She loves me back- "The heart should be fully gold before he makes her drink his blood right?" Hecate and Raoul both nodded upon Jean's question.
"Aseseus, I think you should take a step further and try showing your emotions more. Maybe ask her out on a date or something similar." Asking her out? I don't know how to, I sighed licking my lips as I heard them giving some tips about my situation.
"Actually the thing keeping Everly's heart from glowing a full shade of gold is fear. Based on my observation, Everly is scared of both losing Aseseus and scared of her feelings as it's her first love. It's quite normal, knowing how she lived her years until now." Raoul now turned fully to my side as he kept silent for a few seconds before continuing. "In my opinion, you have to do something to make her realize her feelings for you."
We all sat there in silence, all thinking about a way to make her sure about her feelings. "I have an idea." Raoul confidently states, a slight smirk on his face.
"Make... her… jealous" He emphasized each word his smirk not leaving his face. "Come on. Where did the confident Aseseus go?" He joked after he saw my unsure face. "Make her jealous!! I think it's a great idea. If she sees you with other human females, she may know the true meaning of her feelings." Hecate agrees as she writes down on her notebook.
"I know no one on earth, other than Everly and the landlord." "Not even some classmates?" Jean asked as I shook my head. The three of them sighed, not knowing what to do.
"We can choose someone from Mount Olympus" Hecate suggested, which made all of us agree. "But who…?"
"Why don't we send Iris?"
