A few hours 'til it's lights out in the academy..

The encounter yesterday really worn me off, and that's from someone who work themselves off for 10 hours daily. I'm a hard worker, I might not look like one, as Aiko Collins in this world, I've slept early, 8-10 hours a day, but when you see the eyes of me from my past life, I think anyone including you would reconsider.

It's currently nighttime, and my beloved Emie-sama is at her dormitory. In this royal academy, nobles are likely to be treated more frequently when told to than us commoners, I can understand that, priorities, I guess.

As for the dormitories, all students, commoner and noble, obtain a dorm key with assigned numbers each. You had the decision to invite somebody as your full-time roommate, as long as they accept. In my case, I paired up with Erika-chan, and next door, we met a male noble, named「Louiz Mikhail」that we made very good friends with.

"Goodnight, Aiko-chan, Louiz-sama."

"Goodnight to you guys too."

[Louiz Mikhail mutters beside the wall]

"Aight, sleep tight, Eri, Ai."

Louiz-sama is generally a very mundane character to his surroundings, typically less social and scores as an average student, still, he has the "appeal" to be someone fairly noticed by female students around the school grounds. He's also a very close relative to the Coutour house, He does not interact very much with Emie-sama, though. But overall, he seems pretty friendly to everyone.

"..."

"Eri-chan, wake up! We need to be early today!"

"Yes, I'm awake."

I recite this to Erika daily, because I sleep far earlier than her. I also call out to Louiz-sama when necessary.

The classes start, and we are on our way to the classrooms. Louiz-sama separates from us as we don't belong to the same study hall. while Erika-chan and I walk past the corridor to the other building where our study hall is located, I willingly look for my one and only Emie-sama, yet she's nowhere to be found. I suppose she's already at homeroom.

"..."

"Aiko-chan, excuse me for a moment, I'm going to go to the restrooms."

"Sure, Eri. Should I wait outside?"

"It's fine, you can go on without me."

"I'll stay, just incase."

"Thank you for the concern."

I recognize that red flag, so I'll wait for her instead.

Unsurprisingly, I hear the cute sneeze of a beautiful young woman accompanied by a couple of yapping voices. I'm glad I stayed to wait for Erika.

"Well, well. If it isn't the lowly commoner herself, Aiko Collins! Alone today, aren't you?"

She says that as she pushes me down on to my knees. To reciprocate such a sadistic yet wonderful act, I swiftly stand up, put my finger under her chin and lift it up. Why so sudden? It's because right now I can catch her off-guard, easy as pi.

"That was quite an act, Emie-sama. Do you have any more tricks to pull off on me, perhaps?"

"EEEEEK?!"

"What do you think you are trying to do to our Emie-sama?!"

I lift her chin up, with a suggestive gaze staring into her eyes, putting my said 'seductive' voice to good use; she reacts flustered, confused, yet obliviously with a slight-reddish face, she shrugs her shoulders up retracting her neck, making her look up to me as I'm slightly shorter than her(that would be awkward otherwise!), upping the 'romance factor'. Her followers know exactly what I'm doing, yet only give concern. All of this.. I thoroughly thank you, Emie-sama.

"Don't tell me.. you-you're one of th-those hom-"

"Hai, Aiko-chaaan. Let's go to class now."

"..!"

Emie-sama and I glance to Erika-chan as she opens the restroom door, poor Eri, she drops her jaw along with blood dripping out of her nostrils due to this sudden hot girl-on-girl action. She quickly changes attitude and charges between us, separating me from Emie-sama, with a motherly voice, quoting:

"Don't you try and manipulate my Aiko into your twisted ways, ever again!"

"HAAAA? I truly am bullying this commoner, but your 'Aiko' here is the one making such a move on me!"

"Emie-sama, please calm down, ignore these.. commoners! or we will be late for class..!"

"Hm? Hmph.. fine!"

"I'm glad we got this far of in our relationship right off the bat, Emie-sama. I'll be looking forward to what our future beholds."

"What about 'our' future?! We never had such a relationship in the first place!"

"Oh, Aiko, my precious baby! Did she hurt you? Did she do anything to you?!"

Oh dear, it appears I've been rejected by my love too early, with a mama Erika present before my eyes. Still, for now, we will need to think of a way to enter class without having our classmates look at us with curious eyes. Such a bothersome.

"My dearest apologies, Emie-sama. I'll give a lecture to Aiko-chan to stop bringing you into her mischievous fantasies!"

"You should, as you commoners are a bother! Tch!"

"Shall we go to class now, Emie-sama?"

"I did not ask for you to speak! And I swear, I shall get my revenge on you commoner, just wait!"

"Hm.. I'll gladly wait for you, Emie-sama."

She was very cute today, I'm happy, and relieved. I was quite pressured during the heat of that moment, in fair honesty. Anyways, the rest of the day was just like the usual. Just a few gossiping eyes as we entered one after another. Emie-sama had been staring at me with scary smiles, from time to time today. That aside, I think the day went pretty normal, how pleasant.
