A Pretty Good Life

Shining Sun Province, Coiling Dragon County, Lesser Galore Town. Burning Phoenix Calendar, Year 3024.

Dark into the night, with the strong gales of wind, and deep into the woods, there is a youth sitting under a big and towering trees, with lush leaves. Browsing a book with both of his hands, reading resolutely with his pair of eyes open wide. The youth seemingly about 16 years old, with a long navy hair and sapphire like eyes shining under the night sky full of stars, with a pretty manly face and a pale skin.

"Oh so that's the thing that happened!" The youth exclaimed in surprise wearing a beautiful radiant smile. "I'm always fascinated by the stories made from this world." The boy continued reading. " With the Mighty Warriors he Assembled, the Whole World Trembled!..... The Roar of Beasts Shouted! The Cries of War Resounded! Amidst all of this Bloodshed..... "Alright what's gonna happen? It's gonna happen!" The youth suddenly declare with hype but suddenly, His eyes accidentally take a glimpse at the last line. "Ahhhh!!! fuck! why do I always have to spoil myself!!!. I'm reaching the fucking climax!!." He spat out a mouthful of curses to appease his anger.

His name is Shui Tian. A man who traversed across this land, on Earth he's only an ordinary man. A college student who studies at a University, he has always been interested and curious in reading about any kinds of stories written; whether its romance, action, comedy, historical, literature, essays and many more. Browsing whatever kind of book he could find that interest him, it was his only hobby. He died simply because he got hit by a truck going at high speeds.

Coming into this world as a newborn, he started panicking, accompanied by confusion and disarray, but after a while since being born he began to calm down, and bit by bit, he started learning more about what was happening, he was reincarnated, and living for almost 17 years, he came to know more about this land. He woke up as a child of one of the greatest clans of the Lesser Galore Town, as the 3rd Young Master of the Shui Clan.

"Hmm... guess that's it for today it's already pretty dark anyway" . He take a look at night sky and closed the book, revealing its title "Immemorial Times". The youth stand up and stretch his arms, up and wide. Shui Xiao started walking out towards the sea of trees, the woods standing tall high up above the clouds, its branches with wide leaves covering the soils of the land. It's only source of light are coming from the creatures called the "Sunflies" which is almost half a meter in length. The forest is called the "Soaring Alpines" simply because of its trees. It's a place where he mainly goes to read.

Before he go back to his home, he decided to stroll for a bit longer. Admiring the huge trees and the bright glow coming from the sunflies. The Soaring Alpines is a territory belonging to the Shui Clan it spans across 5 acres of land. This is a place where Shui Xiao mostly reads, as this is a place full of silence and his the only one who primarily comes here to visit. It's one of their biggest enclave. It isn't anything special except its huge trees that can't even be cut and the sunflies that inhabited this place. Looking for a bit longer he finally decided to go back home.

Walking back to the Shui Manor, the guards and maids that he met at the entrance bowed and greet him. "Welcome back young master." Shui Xiao is the 3rd young master of the Shui Clan, but because the 1st young master died, while exploring the Forest of Sin, and his talent is much greater than the 2nd young master. Due to that he became the sole heir of the clan.

"Younger brother your back pretty late again." A man said with a faint voice with a good manner, wearing a turquoise dress accompanied by a long navy hair called up to him. Its the 2nd young master of the Shui Clan "Shui Jie" He was the supposed heir of the clan but due to Shui Xiao being much stronger than him, he didn't become the successor.

"What's the matter elder brother, you sound pretty sad" Xiao notice notice his dejected voice. "Wait... don't tell me you got dump" he jokingly laughed.

"Well your right about that, she suddenly cut ties with me, we've been together for 4 years.... I don't know why she suddenly started distancing herself to me. Shui Jie speak in a pretty sorrowful voice. "She was the daughter of the City Lord of the Town

"What?!!" Xiao exclaimed in astonishment, as he didn't even know the fact that Jie have a lover. What's more is that it's the daughter of the City Lord one of the strongest pillar in Lesser Galore Town. " Then you must be feeling down bad right" he speak in a somewhat consulting voice.

"Yes that's right... but I don't really feel depressed that much, as I find happiness in my life by enjoying the thing I have. His lips curved forming a smile. "I still love her though... maybe she did since it has something to do to her family affairs? I don't know."

"Why do you-" Xiao was suddenly interrupted by a cute and delicate voice.

"Big Brother!" A voice of a teen girl was heard, with a lovable face and endearing features. His little step-sister under the same father, Who's 14 years old that has an azure like hair reflecting the color of the skies of day, and sapphire like eyes the same as his. and stood 165cm.

She suddenly run up to him and immediately pulled his clothes "Your back!" shifting her gaze to the other side, she notice Shui Jie. "Ah! are the two of you busy?" She asked.

"No, not really we're just talking about a commodity, why... do you need me for something?"

"Yes! there was a festival going tomorrow, and a play is going to take place at the plaza. My favorite actor is going perform there".

"Can't you just go there yourself, you're rather old enough anyway." Shui Tian thought that he doesn't really need to go there.

"I would, if I get permission from father and mother to go to the fete" Shui Hua grumbling her way to Tian. "You mainly read books and cultivate all the time anyway, so I think you have a lot of free time compare to others,.. and you're strong to father so he will surely let me go, if I go together with you."

" You're making me your bargaining chip huh. Then I'll try asking to father and go with you."Shui Tian Nodded in agreement with Shui Hua.

"I will be talking to father now" Said Shui Tian to Shui Hua.

Arriving at main hall he saw his father, Shui Wang seated at the Lord Seat. His father was the current acting patriarch of the Shui Clan, since his, Grand Father the main patriarch, was in his seclusion in the middle of breakthrough.

"What brings you here?" His father asked with a bright smile in his face. Shui Wang was a caring and loving father, who always doted and spoiled him giving everything he wanted, one of the main reasons is because he is his one and only son and the child of the woman he loved the most. what's more is that his Shui Xiao would one day be inheriting the position of the clan patriarch.

Shui Tian cupped both of his hands and answered "I want to accompany Shui Hua at the festival. Will you let us go father?" he wore a pleasing face to convince Shui Wang to let them go to the fete. He didn't know why he would be so strict to Hua when it's all about just, going to a fair.

"No you can't, the whole clan right now is in the middle of a turbulence" Shui Wang immediately told him what was happening. "It has something to do with the death of your mother and eldest brother along with several of your elders and cousins. The same thing is happening with the other clans and were still investigating everything that was happening, that's why for the time being your not allowed to go outside of the clan. Shui Wang reminded him.

"You already told that to me a lot of time, so I already know all of it and, well I'm already breaking through at the 7th layer of the Tempered Body Realm." Shui Tian stated.

"What!!? You just broke through at 6th layer 1 month ago, and now you're already at the late stage of Tempered Body Realm. as expected of my son!" Shui Wang grabbed both of Shui Tian's shoulder with a proud smile he wore in his face.

"Hehe" Shui Tian scratch lightly his index in his cheeks. "Father now I wonder, would you still treat me like this if I wasn't as talented as I was now? Shui Tian suddenly ask out of curiosity.

"How could you say something like that! Of course I would, your my son even if you have other brothers who are more talented than you, I'll still love you as much as I do now."

"Thank you father, for always taking care me and my sister with endearing love and care." Shui Tian felt fondness by the words he heard.

"Why would you even mention something like that, I'm just doing the things of what a parent should be doing same goes for your moms."

"Ah well... nothing I just got curious that's all" Shui Tian suddenly recollected some of the memories of his past life.

"Oh! yes! just send us some escorts who was at the Refined Body Realm maybe and an insignia that will help you locate us incase we're suddenly put into danger." Shui Tian suggested as he didn't know the weight of the situation.

"You worry too much father, we'll be fine... I'm strong you know, you don't have to be that strict, just let us go." Shui Tian assuring to Shui Wang that they'll be ok.

Shui Wang pondered for a moment before he made his decision "Alright I'll let the two of you go, on one condition don't waver you're eyes off Hua. you should take better care of your sister." Shui Wang reminded him.

"Thank you father, then I shall take my leave now" Shui Tian cupped his pair of hands saying goodbye.

Outside the main hall Shui Tian met Shui Hua and told what had happened, Shui Hua's face was delighted and full of cheerfulness upon hearing it. After that, he got back to his room, landed and on his bed, opened the lid of a white crystal lamp, illuminating the whole room. He continued reading his book until he fell asleep.
