Blind Date

Karli didn't quite understand the situation but Claire couldn't tell her that most of that had happened before they were even in a relationship. They had only been dating for the past month; their relationship wasn't serious yet at all.

Both of them knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together if they could but they had to see if they were capable of that first. She didn't know how much time they would even have to work on the romantic side of their relationship until she was done with school and that was so far away.

"I suppose so," she said in response to her coworker's statement.

Claire knew she wanted to marry Alex but there was still so much he didn't know about the world. He needed time to realize there were other options and also to figure out how being in a relationship actually worked.
