Where Am I?

*BANG*

In a lush and green forest untouched by human civilization, a bright explosion occurred frightening all the living beings near by.

The wind blew in all directions as the blast grew in size and stopped at the size of a small home.

After the flash of light subsided, a large man in full bodied armor was lying down in a small ditch under a huge tree.

The trees in this forest were gigantic reaching 100-150 meters tall and extremely thick.

*GASP* *cough* *cough* *cough*

A few minutes went by before the man sat up abruptly gasping for air. When his breathing calmed down, he looked around in shock and awe with his eyes wide open.

The man was Orion and a million different thoughts were rushing through his mind at the moment.

"Where the hell am I? My...eyes, I...I can see through both eyes?!" He said as he stood up quickly. 'Hmm? My voice is different as well...' he thought.

Orion unclipped his sheath for his Nodachi and sheathed the long sword, clipping it back onto his belt. He touched his right side feeling his skin, 'Weird, there's no wound where I got stabbed...' he thought.

Orion closed his eyes and began to breathe rhythmically as his surroundings slowly emerged in his minds eye. 'There's a River not too far from here, I'll start from there' he thought.

He turned to his left and began walking through the thick forest examining the vegetation as he passed by when suddenly he stopped and his eyes widened in shock.

Beside most plants was a small box with question marks that stunned and confused him. "What the fuck is going on?" He said out loud as he crouched to get a closer look at a small yellow plant with bright blue petals he'd never seen before.

"HUH?!? It's that voice again! But why is it in my mind?" Orion was unsure of his situation but he knew for sure that he wasn't on Gaia anymore.

As a major food addict he could recognize almost all wildlife on Gaia but everything he sees here is all new and unfamiliar to him.

His eyes widened and sparkled with excitement at the thought of finding new things, but more importantly, new things to eat.

He stood up with newfound vigour and dashed in the direction of the river as he took in the sight of the forest on his way.

Orion felt his body had unending energy and strength since he came here and needed to explore as much as he could.

He quickly arrived at the river and was amazed at how big and wide it was, but more because of how clear and beautiful the water was.

He immediately removed his helmet and dropped to his knees as he fully plunged his head directly into the water and began to drink and fill the bottomless pit in his stomach.

"AAAHH, DELICIOUS! Damn, that's the best water I've ever had!" Orion was ecstatic as his body felt refreshed and reinvigorated from drinking the water.

As he leaned forward to drink some more he quickly stopped in fright when he saw his reflection on the water.

"WHAT THE FUCK?! Why do I look so young?! I should be around 20-25 years old! I was almost sixty back in Gaia so how is this even possible?" he exclaimed.

Orion suddenly stood up and quickly began taking his armor and pants off and undressed completely.

He examined his body and was shocked at his discovery, a lot of his major scars were gone and only the ones he received from his training are left.

"The big scars that are left don't feel like they've damaged my body any deeper than the skin either, how strange..."

"Whatever!" Orion didn't think on it any further and untied his long black hair as he ran and jumped into the river.

"This place is beautiful! I can't wait to see more of it" he said with a huge grin on his face, *Growl* his stomach rumbled now that he relaxed and gave Orion his next goal.

He swam out of the river and walked towards his belongings before sitting down cross legged facing the forest.

He began to circulate his family's technique as the energy in the air began to spiral towards him creating a whirlpool of energy with him at the centre.

Right away his body began to heat up and steam rose from his skin, drying his body almost instantly.

"Whoa, why does the energy feel different? It's almost five times thicker than before and it feels more...solid?" he said as he stood up and walked to his armor.

Orion tied his long hair into a ponytail and put his pants on but debated wether he should put his armor on or not yet.

Suddenly he heard rustling coming from the forest and he quickly turned around to see two silhouettes of wolves walking in his direction.

*GRRRR* The two wolves were huge, standing at about a meter and a half each and they had two fluffy tails waving in the air. They snarled their vicious teeth at Orion as they separated trying to surround him.

He quickly grabbed his two wakizashi and he then held one normally and one in a reverse grip as he took a deep breath.

Orion closed his eyes and began to circulate his technique to view the situation from a birds eye view.

The wolf on the right rushed in first and two steps later the one on the left made his move. Orion opened his eyes and lunged towards the one on the right.

Once he was a few feet away, the wolf jumped at him but Orion dropped to a knee and swung his arm at a blinding speed. He tore through the wolf from his neck to his tail with his reverse gripped blade and turned around quickly.

When the second wolf was about to reach him in the air he swung his other hand upwards as he stood up, slicing the wolf's head cleanly down the middle.

Both wolves fell one after the other lifeless and bloody as Orion swung his two hands to the sides cleaning the blades of any remaining blood. "Thank you for the food" he said with a wide smile.

'Hmm? There's that voice again' he thought.

"Restarting? I wonder what'll happen when it's back up" he said as he walked towards the forest. He began collecting branches and some dry leaves before walking back to his things.

He began to pile the branches on top of the leaves and then he walked to his stuff to grab his pouch and attached it to his waist.

He then grabbed his chefs knife and walked towards one of the wolves and began skinning and processing the large beast.

He sat down by the branches and opened his pouch, he brought out two small rocks and smashed them together creating sparks that flew into the leaves. They quickly caught on fire and he stabilized the flame before adding more wood on it.

He pierced some meat into three branches making skewers and reached into his pouch again and brought a small metal cylinder out. He unscrewed it a bit and shook it above the meat as fine salt fell onto the skewers.

Finally he placed the meat skewers into the ground beside the fire and sat down to wait. As he was waiting he made 12 more meat skewers placing them on a large rock beside him.

The meats aroma was making him salivate as it smelled like a mixture of chicken and bacon making Orion excited and eager for his meal.

Not long after, the meat was sizzling and ready to eat as he grabbed the three skewers placing them on a smaller flat rock he would use as a plate. He then instantly placed three more skewers by the fire.

He took a big whiff of the meat and was amazed by how juicy and appetizing they looked and smelled. He took a huge bite and instantly shivered by the incredible taste in his mouth.

"SHO FUKIN GOOD!" He exclaimed as he took a second bite. The taste was magical and the meat was filled with lots of rich energy that made him quiver in ecstasy.

The wonderful taste was short lived however, "GGAAAHHH!!" as he felt the same excruciating pain he felt back when he was dying in Gaia.

Orion fell to the ground dropping his plate of meat and writhing in pain. "My...meat..." were his last words as he made a final attempt at reaching his hand towards his meat on the floor, unfortunately he passed out right before he succeeded.
