THE NEW ORDER.
" I think we need to run " Jenner said as we took heels, running as fast as we could.
...Our greatest enemy is power, equally time,but power most times changes a man to do things he may be forced to regret...
* We kept running deeper into the city, as citizens tries to capture us. The new order to break out the war soldiers was not a decision I'll say will help us ride along with the crowd. Our uniforms we're almost alike with those so called watchdogs, well I haven't seen any of the wardogs so I have no say about them *
" What the hell do we do now? How do we get to base?" Jenner asked.
" I think I have an idea, but we need to change this uniforms " Elliot said breathing heavily.
" I know a place, follow me " I said as I started walking ahead of them.
" Hey dude wait up " Elliot said as they both walked quietly behind me.
Three of them sneaked into a cotton shop, where accessories were been sold, equally clothings.
* No one saw us entering the store, so we walked our way to the back where we got ourselves into new dresses, looking casual on a casual day, we got out quietly avoiding another trouble, even if we committed a crime *
" What now?" Jenner asked.
" Well, we go back to base to find out what's going on, because for a decree to be this effective the moment it was announced then something's surely off, way off " Elliot said as we hurried back to base.
* When we reached base what we saw was a bit devastating, we were remaining few, the question was where's everyone else *
" Hey man you are still alive and perhaps still in the war soldiers right " the guy who always wears a particular robe with the write up frank said to me, but what got me confused was the part he said
....And perhaps still in the war soldiers....
" Where's everyone " I asked even if I know I wasn't in a position to speak moreover there were seated many seniors than privates.
" The citizens are going haywire trying or should I say haunting down every man in uniform, so please can someone explain to us what the hell is going on " Elliot yelled.
" Good question kiddo " the war general said walking in and was been followed by a few captains as well as Mason garnet.
" We are the only ones who are still here believing that the world will be a better place if we work together " the general said with a frown on his face.
" So what now sir?" a girl amongst us asked.
" We either go home or join the watchdogs which we know we'll still be a bait in their upcoming war, the choice is yours to make soldiers " captain Mason garnet said aloud with a tune stating he was angry yet emotional, a statement that got everyone calmer than usual.
" It's a new order, so we either keep to it or break the law and face the consequences " another captain said.
All the chiefs walked pass the war general out of anger he wanted to speak but was unable to.
" What about the king sir?" I don't know how, but I asked, Making everyone looking at me.
The general stopped walking for a moment, turned and was facing me directly.
" I think only the kid has given an assuring statement that he is still interested in the car " a general said in chuckles.
" The king is aware, and to what we've agreed according to the order placed, we only remain war soldiers by fighting alongside those folks going to the east, but no one is forcing us or perhaps you if you want to run to them or quit, which I know will be the next option for you kiddo " the war general said directly to me.
* Normally I would agree to his words but this is no time for us to relax because a decree was made to prioritize the word death to we the war soldiers, there was no time giving it thought. Even if I wanted to keep shut after what he said my inner ego yelled out *
" So you all are going to back down cowardly because you can't stand the nerves of the upper army " it just came out.
" What did you call us.....cowards?" Captain Mason asked.
" For me sir I joined the army to protect and equally end the terror we've been facing for a long time, so I am not going home, even if it's to go to the east I'll start there....."
...FACING MY FELLOW SOLDIERS...
" I don't know what you want but for me am joining those folks as we call them even if it's risking my life " I said finally and walked off without looking back, and to the way my speech left everyone speechless especially the higher ranked officers, I just have the feeling I'll be sitting in a office soon.
* I went back to my bunker arranging my luggage to report to the watchdogs camp when Elliot walked in *
" What now?" He asked.
" Am reporting to the watchdogs " I answered without looking at him.
" You know you got some nerve speaking out loud even in front of the upper ranks, I bet no one has ever spoken to them in that manner " he said.
" Well, I was just speaking my mind " I replied.
" I think I'll follow up with your idea we need to make a difference to the world, stating the facts.... we'll been risking our lives either way...even if we stay fighting in the south we're still going to loose a lot of good men...after what you said I thought to myself why not aim for the head " Elliot said.
I turned facing him.
" Then it will be my pleasure to fight alongside you " I said as we both laughed.
We were still arranging our luggage for departure when the radios tuned on with the voice of a familiar man speaking, captain Mason garnet.
" War soldiers as we all know there's a new order for us to either fight the major battles or quit from what we've sworn our lives to, but as much as the upper generals wanted stepping down, we all have come to realize this is a step to avenge our fallen brothers and equally bring this evil that has befell us to Oblivion, so I plead and speak for the rest captains and our fallen family, join us let's end this together...all war soldier in and out the the base should report to the Grand hall and let's continue and make effective....the new order "
" Now we're talking " Elliot said as we both looked at each other with a smirk on our face.
" To the future " I said as we walked out of the bunker heading straight to the Grand hall.
