Jason suddenly woke up.

His right hand instinctively slapped the ground, intending to jump up even before his eyes were open. This was a dangerous place where life and death were but a hair's breadth away.

He must leave immediately!

This was the first thought that came to his mind upon waking up, a state of mind that has become part of his instincts as an excellent assassin.

As his body began to rise into the air, suddenly his arm felt weak and was no longer able to support the weight of his body.

He fell back down to the ground.

Jason fell into a state of extreme shock for a moment.

'What is going on?'

He then realized that his body was lying on a soft bed beneath a pavilion. Observing his surroundings, he found himself in a magnificently beautiful garden with a small pond not far from him.

'What happened? Wasn't I set up? Wasn't I at the edge of eradicating all those bastards? How did I end up in bed?'

Jason's mind ran back to his memories before he went to bed, or more precisely … the last memories he could recall in his past life.

Jason was a killer by profession, a particularly outstanding one on top. He was an orphan, raised in an orphanage. But that said orphanage was just a cover at the front for the world, in secret it was a place where children were nurtured and trained as assassins.

Unlike other children, he was very smart and skilled for his age, quickly becoming a favorite of the head. It caused all the children to become extremely jealous of him and despise him.

Jason easily mastered all the skills and made his debut at the mere age of fifteen. Ever since his debut, there was no place he could not infiltrate and his rate of success was a hundred percent. It was something none of his predecessors could accomplish.

The only one to ever accomplish that was the number one assassin, Hawk!

Feeling his position threatened, Hawk tried to assassinate him. Jason and Hawk clashed in an abandoned factory for an entire day with him coming out on top, snatching the title of the number one from Hawk after successfully killing him.

Thus, he became the number one assassin in the rankings list of killers. At the same time, the name 'Hades' rose to the first spot among the underworld's top-ranked experts. In addition, he also occupied the honorable number one spot for the bounty offered for his head. Indeed, his bounty was number one amongst the world's bounty ranking for an entire decade.

That was not to say that no one was willing to take on this request; rather no one was capable of taking it! No one possessed the capacity to go toe to toe against this near-legendary assassin, much less kill him.

Once an innumerable number of first-rate assassins daringly took on the job, but the only reward they obtained was death while he continued to live.

So, Jason decided to let him with his child daughter who would have no one to look after her if he killed him.

He didn't want that child to live the same life as him.

He faked their death and let them escape the country.

But despite his efforts, he failed to keep the news hidden.

When it was revealed, he became a target for all the assassins in the world for breaking the code to let a target go.

Especially, the old man was so enraged that he issued an order to put him down.

But everyone knew Jason's abilities and was aware that it could result in their deaths.

So, they set a trap for him.

They targeted innocent people, especially those who had once bounties on their heads.

Jason knew it was set but he couldn't back down and accepted their challenge.

'Never back down from any challenge life throws at you! Dream big and work hard for them. As long as he's breathing there will be infinite chances to succeed. So never let a single defeat weaken your will!'

This was his motto. And the person who inspired him was Monkey D. Luffy.

In his boring life, anime was the only entertainment. Due it his being an assassin, his life was constantly in danger, and he never dared to build a family.

For almost a year, he tried to protect those people but at the end of the day, he was a single person.

Dozens of innocent souls were reaped by those assassins.

At that time he realized his shortcomings. If he had had some friends, then he could have asked for their help.

So, in his rage, he attacked all the large assassins' organizations, wiping out more than half of them.

Their deaths were so brutal that even those killed by them felt sympathy for these assassins.

Jason had truly become the King of Hell in both name and deeds!

It caused all the organizations to come together and become a single force. But Jason was unfazed by it and attacked that organization, wiping them out.

At the end of the day, he was alone and sustained very heavy life-threatening injuries.
