Tom was heading towards the nearest structure. I paced and landed there first. Rose immediately let go and Tom landed beside her.
"you should have told me when speeding up. I hate you." Rose punched me lightly. Tom stood beside me, "not again." he panted. {Do people get tired while using magic?}
Going by my logic, it should consume MP, or stamina if that sits right. like when we get past our stamina, our body gets damaged, overusing MP can get user tired.
"Hey, where can I get the books for kids? like for air-walking and magic usage?" {Am I making sense here?}
"Thinking of some new trick? you just sit in the library for hours, next I see you, you get a new trick up your sleeve." Tom suddenly fired up.
So Ray was doing what I intended to do. If his body is that trained, I should be able to catch up quickly. {Wait, why do I have a backstory in this dream?} I dismissed the thought and focused on current events.
The gate opened as the floating ground got near. a few more students flew to the gate, but their movement looked stiff. They all looked like they were pushing the air to fly. I did it easily, as a matter of fact, Tom did too. {Why's that?}
I followed both of them to the classroom, which was on the ground floor. The seats were shared, one desk for three people. My seat was with Tom and Rose, I had to sit in the middle. We chatted while I put my assignment together. As soon as I finished, the bell rang and people started to leave.
"Come on Ray, or else you'll not have enough time to change." Tom said hurriedly. "You too Rose. stop putting the border Everywhere, that much is good enough."
We let Rose be and left to change. The changing room was on the same floor, and it was huge. with separate labeled cubicles for everyone, and separate showering space. I looked for one with my name, it was in the back row.
There was a closet, a dresser with a chair, a small couch, and a laptop table beside it. The entire ceiling was a light source, the carpet was clean. {How much is the fee here?}
There was only one set of clothes in the closet, an all-white uniform. {this is dope!} I changed and looked in the mirror, and I look good. The uniform was mostly white, with red borders and tie, a black shirt, and gold details. There was the school crest on the back of the coat. The rest was black shoes and a belt.
After changing, I put my used clothes and boots in the closet. I waited outside while Tom got changed. "Are you ready?" Tom asked me as he buttoned up. His coat was a little different from mine. The same goes for Everyone, the color, and crest on the back was common, but the design seemed to be personalized. "Let's go." Tom motioned with his hand for me to follow and walked off.
We walked back to our class and saw that Rose still hadn't returned. Tom took a notebook and a pen, I did the same.
"students who have their assignments finished, keep it on your desk and get to the lab on the first floor." There was an announcement from speakers. I finished mine, so I pulled it out of the bag. a small diary also got out with it, which I pocketed for now.
The indoor school looked just like any normal school, with white tiles and any light yellow paint, a complete contrast to the outside look. We took the stairs and reached the lab. It looked like any common chemistry lab, minus the equipment and with individual seats. I sat down and opened the notebook, it had few notes.
["Mana should be applied proportionately to the power of the circle."]
["basic elements can be controlled if practiced long enough."]
["circles aren't necessary but more reliable."]
["Mana nature can be converted, but it takes a lot of effort."]
There were several symbols drawn beside notes, and circles had a single symbol in the center. symbols were simple, drawn using a single line. After reading the notebook, I took out the pocket diary. There were a few more notes on it.
["just remember the circle when casting, no need to draw the whole thing."]
["try using one touch to use the circles"]
["use both hands."]
SLAM! the door banged open with a gust of wind. Along with the wind came a young man, good-looking and barely ten years older than me. he had light brown hair and wore a cream-colored shirt and with it, a brown vest and pants. his shoes looked hard, but he made no sound while walking.
