Chapter 5 Bell Test Part 1 And A Deal.

"Well. I am something of a genius myself."

Almost everyone thought. 'Cool.'

Likewise it seems the number of people I befriended increased by a huge margin. I mean yeah we were friends during childhood but I and they couldn't interact much due to the rumours. Also I made sure to be on good terms with Sakura so that I won't eat those punches.

"Hey guys, we still have a little time before meeting jonin Sensei. How about going at Ichiraku Ramen? My treat."

"I'm in." Choji said. Which is not unexpected.

"Me too." Hinata said. Aw so sweet. I talked to her a while ago and I can tell from my experience she is really a good girl. Although I am currently twelve years old but mentally I am already old enough to be retired.

Then all of them agreed except a certain guy.

"Old pops Ayame big sis, today I came with my friends."

"Ah, Naruto. Our most beloved no.1 regular customer. So you brought your friends, huh. So what do you guys want?"

After that we placed our order and ate. Also, he returned some of the money said something like I am a ninja now so I should buy some kunais and all. And I was super grateful. And I trained

Then I prepared the duster. And it worked fine just like in the original. I wonder how a man can be this lazy?

"Your likes, dislikes, your future dream, hobbies, etc. things like that."

"Hey, before that please tell us about yourself."

"Me? My name is Hatake Kakashi. I don't feel like telling you guys about my likes and dislikes. I haven't really think about my future dream... As for hobbies I have many."

Oh let's do that.

"Okay. Can I go first? Copy Ninja."

He was surprised little. But thought he meant style.

"Fine."

"My name is Naruto. I don't have much likes. Dislikes too. As for hobbies and dreams don't know."

Sigh... " Fine fine. My name is Hatake Kakashi. Currently I am an elite jonin. My likes are my ninken and dislikes sweet. My hobby is to read books. As for my dream I really haven't thought about it."

"Okay now I will do it again. My name is Uzumaki Naruto. My likes are tasty food like ramen, singing, writing book, training different things etc. My dislikes are waiting for the food to get ready, if things doesn't goes as planned while doing my work and all. And I do have a dream. That is to surpass all the Hokage and become one."

Interesting. This is the guy who created that jutsu from scratch. His books must be atleast a little interesting. But I hope he doesn't writes about those things considering he created that jutsu which Lord Third told me. Also that dream. This kid grew up in a interesting way.

"Next."

"My name is Sakura Haruno. What I like... I mean, the one who I like is... 'glance' And my hobby is, I mean... My future dream is... um to be a great kunoichi. And I dislike Ino pig."

'Hmm. Nowadays kunoichis are focused on romance than Ninjutsu huh.' He noted.

"Okay. Now the raven haired boy."

"My name's... Uchiha Sasuke. I have lots of dislikes, but no likes in particular. And I don't feel like summing up my ambition as just a dream. But I do have a ambition. The ambition to restore my clan and without fail to kill a certain person."

'Sure enough. He is cool.' Sakura said.

'I like how original naruto thought here that Sasuke meant to kill him. But this is really a serious issue. I don't want Itachi to die. Maybe let's repeat that again? Okay.'

'As I thought.'

"Good.The three of you are unique and interesting. Tomorrow we are gonna do a survival exercise."

"Survival exercise? But we have done tons of it at the academy. I don't see a reason to do it again." Sakura told.

"This is not a simple exercise."

"What do you mean?" I demanded with a voice full of authority.

"If you hear about it you guys will for sure be disenchanted."

"Then tell it." This time Sasuke spoke.

"Out of 27 graduates, only 9 will be chosen to be a genin. The rest will be sent back to the academy. This training is a very difficult exam with a failure rate of over 66 •/• or higher."

Both of them had stiff faces. And it was easy to guess what these two were thinking.

"Haha! I told you you would be disenchanted."

"So what is this exam about?"

"That you will know tomorrow. Meet me tomorrow at training ground no. 7. Here are the details."

Then he gave us 1 paper each. And sunshined away. It had few details of our tomorrow's destination. Before telling us...

"Also, you guys better skip breakfast. You will puke."

I considered advising them too, to not skip it. But reconsidered it afterwards. And tomorrow came with my daily routine as usual with training with someone.

And. I realize what I am doing, but still I skipped breakfast.

"Hey! Naruto whom are you talking to? And why are you not speaking at all?"

"Oh! Sakura just listening to a song I made. Do you guys wanna listen? Since that copy ninja is not coming at all. Even though he is supposed to be a sensei."

She must have thought that as I was wearing earphones.

"Fine let's hear what song did you made? Naruto."

"Okay."

Then I played the song which I recreated. And it was one of my favourite during my past life. It was Mocking Bird by Eminem.

"Wow this is a great song Naruto. How did you play music of this level? You really are a great artist. Why did you decide to be a Shinobi? Also it seems to be English."

"Because that's what some of the survivor of a clan must do in my opinion. And I have got a dream of being Hokage one day anyway."

"But are you from a clan? Also what do you mean by one of the survivor?" Sasuke spoke.

Then I explained them about the Uzumaki clan. About how once we had our own village and many nations combining their forces had destroyed it die to our powers and knowledge on fuinjutsu. Also about the relationship of Uzumaki clan with Senju and the village. Also the mark Konohagakure Shinobi wear is the clan symbol.

"Yo. You sure know a lot huh, Naruto."

"YOU ARE LATE." Sakura and I yelled.

"Sorry we're late, you wouldn't believe the traffic."

So that's how it is.

"I was wondering why you were late. So this was the reason." I reasoned.

"What do you mean Naruto, that's most likely a lie!?"

"No I sense presence of people. Who are they?"Sasuke said.

"Lord Hokage and others." I answered him.

Then all of them landed.

"How are you doing Naruto? Sorry you guys had to wait because of us."

"I am fine, gramps. Also I don't mind."

Then he whispered me to call him Lord Third in front of everyone. To which I complied. As he had helped me a lot in the past. And I am feeling some serious déjà vu.

"Hey! Naruto let's see how will you perform. And for your information we all have already passed the examination."

"I see. Congratulations! All of you. And be ready to wish me too. Kiba. After all you are looking at the future Hokage."

"Maa. Don't be so hasty. First of all I should decide your results."

"Hahaha! Anyways. Dear children and jonin instructors this is the fresh start of your adventures in the Shinobi world. As you enter this world, you are to face different trials of the Shinobi world. And in order to do that you must complete the mission assigned to you and move forward and nurture yourself from genin to chunin to jonin to anbu and possibly Hokage. As you have just graduated from the academy you are sure to face many hardships but you must face them with good determination and also you must possess the will of fire, entrusted to us by our predecessors the First Hokage and Second Hokage. And it means to protect your comrades and village. Anyways now Kakashi you may start it."

After that all our friends cheered for us.

"Fine your task is to take this two bells from me. And if you don't come at me with the intent to kill. There is no way you are gonna take it. So come at me with such intent. It starts when I say start. And those who cannot take this bell away will be tied to the stumps and no lunch for those. And we will eat lunch in front of you."

'So that's why he told us not to eat breakfast.' The two thought. Then.

"But wait sensei there are only two bells."

"Exactly. From three of you only two of you can pass or zero that is if you fail. Also I didn't mention that the one who won't get the bell would fail correct?"

"HELL NO."

"Start."

Then all of us scattered away and hide in our respective places.

"Now that's some tough test." Asuma commented.

"Yeah but not that hard if you can read underneath the underneath." Kurenai said

"Huh! What do you mean Kurenai sensei? There's no way Naruto-kun and others can pass. I don't know about Sasuke-kun or Sakura-chan but Naruto is not that strong to beat a elite jonin even with their help." Hinata said in concern for her friend no an existence more than a friend.

"Y-yeah..." Ino said.

"Yeah. But if he used his power ball Jutsu he may win." Kiba said.

"That's right. Besides they have Sasuke-kun and Sakura."

"Such a drag. Are you serious?"

'Ho. He seems to have already figured it out.' Hiruzen thought.

"Hey, the match seems to have started." Asuma said.

At the battleground.

'Let's see. How much strong is the former Anbu Commander. Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu.'

"Right on it boss."

Then it went to the target kakashi sensei at a very high speed surpassing that of a chunin.

'The kid sure is fast. But what is he doing?' Kakashi thought.

Then I threw some shuriken and kunais. And at the very last possible moment I did the shuriken shadow clone jutsu. He was able to dodge all of them but at a little more difficulty because of the jutsu not just shurikens and kunais.

'He sure knows something he shouldn't at this age.' Kakashi thought.

As expected.

"Now." The clone spoke.

'Hmm?'

My hiding clone arrived.

"Fire Style: Grand Fire Ball Jutsu."

"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough."

Then a ball of flame powered up by wind proceeded it's way towards Kakashi. Our jutsu combined was more than enough to do damage to him. But not effective as expected. He escaped using his earth style huh. Or maybe substitution jutsu.

"Naruto-kun sure is talented he can already use two elemental jutsu. Wind and fire. Also Shikamaru what did you mean? Do you mean you deduced Kakashi Sensei's examination. Because you are a Nara and they are known for their intelligence." Shino asked.

Shikamaru answered," Well. Think about it, there is no way there ever has been a team with out a total of three genin. Also he purposely said there are only two bells. This would now lead to the disturbance in the team spreading them apart because one is sure to fail. Kakashi-sensei made them think that. And he is testing them on a different thing. Which I don't know and to find it is such a drag."

'What? I knew he was smart but didn't think of this much. Maybe I shall do an IQ test' Asuma thought.

"Good job Shikamaru. As expected from you. You will surely make your father proud." Hiruzen congratulated him.

"Thanks Lord Hokage. But why did he attacked him solo?" Shikamaru still has few doubts.

"Actually the way they are fighting, it seems like he is just attacking Kakashi from far. I doubt he is trying a long range style." Hiruzen commented.

"Yeah Lord Hokage. It's almost like he is testing him. Wait!? Lord Hokage he did had a clone jutsu called shadow clone jutsu. He must be using them."

Then taking risk my clone decided to engage in taijutsu. Let's see what a weaker version of me can do.

He made 2 clones. One tried low kick in Kakashi's leg with the intent to bring him down and other two with the intent to punch him. But one secretly to steal the bell. Seeing that Kakashi jumped and kicked in head of the one who was trying to kick him in 180 degree, while he landed and jumped again and kicked both clones. And puff in a few seconds.

'Sigh. What the f should I do to face him? He is not going easy on me at all. Unlike Hiruzen. But still I hope not to reveal that. Not until Chunin exams. I guess the main boy's got to go to the action.'

Now Kakashi was enjoying his book after completely anhiliating my clones. And a sound could be heard in this silent training field. It was the footsteps slowly approaching Kakashi with no signs of concealing one self.

"So now that the clones doesn't work. The real guy has come to the show." Kakashi said.

"Yup. Let's make a deal."

"What deal?"

"You won't use a special power of yours while I won't too. One of my own. Also you are quite famous you know that. Actually that special power is in your nickname too."

"But why?"

"Because I haven't quite mastered it and don't worry I promise our special powers, they are equally powerful. Even at present."

'Actually this works on my favour. Actually there's no problem using that here but I want to use it for the first time on chunin exams and also it's true I haven't mastered it quite yet and it is equally powerful. His Sharingan and that. Or should I say Mangekyo Sharingan. But he can never guess that I want to use it on chunin exams. Also one troublesome problem is gone by forbidding him from using his eye. But I can maybe use it secretly.'
