(William's P.O.V)

Nerina's mother had said Charlotte had given birth to twins! Two babies! I wonder what they were: two boys, two girls, one of each? Were they identical or were they fraternal? I needed to know more!

"Lottie and William went missing? I thought they died, like for sure died, not just went missing and presumed dead. I know Charlotte was murdered on her way home to the twins when they were sixteen." Nerina said.

Died? She was killed!? I had to do everything in my power to keep myself upright and to keep myself from sobbing out like a babe for their mother. My beloved Charlotte. Wait. Did Nerina say William? Charlotte named my son after me? I couldn't help that, while I was mourning Charlotte, I couldn't suppress the pride of having a son named after me.

"That's the speculation. After they both turned about 85 years old, all records of them stop. All the other children in the family lived relatively normal life spans except your great grandmother. Though you know that."

"That's right, Gran died when she was like what? 103? Almost 104?"

"Yes, if that person hadn't run the red light and crashed into Gran, she would have lived longer. She was in perfect health."

This is too much! I have descendants.! I have a family again!

"Thanks mom! I just wanted to know what information you had because we are here at the tavern where Charlotte worked."

"OH! I must tell you something about that! Apparently, she met a sailor by the name of William at that place in like 1835 or something like that. I suspect HE is the reason why everyone names their first son William."

Nerina looks absolutely gobsmacked. Ha! In your face, granddaughter! I told you I was telling the truth!

"Oh really? Well, that is super interesting. I'll see if I can find any information on him then. Thanks mom. I'll talk to you later." Nerina says before quickly hanging up.

"Do you believe me now?" I asked.

Suddenly, she begins to faint but before she could reach the ground, John has her in his arms and is carrying her back to the limo. We sit in silence all the way back to the house, Nerina on my lap still unconscious.

"So, you guys really were telling the truth then?" the woman, Lizzie, asks.

"Yes, we were. And you, dear, are my granddaughter." Harry tells her.

"This doesn't make any sense though, we don't have any type of history like this in our family though!" Lizzie yells out.

"Have you even looked into your family tree?" Harry asks.

"Well, no. Not really. Nothing past my great grandmother in all honesty," Lizzie says quietly.

"Then how do you know?" Harry inquires.

Lizzie goes quiet again.

"That means you have to be my grandfather." Ashe points to Arthur.

"I am." He says with a smile.

"And you're mine?" The Australian woman asks Edward.

He nods in response, with a small smile on his face.

"And John is mine?" The other blonde-haired woman asks me.

"Yes," I say in a matter-of-fact tone.

"This is absolutely barmy," Ashe whispers.

The rest of the ride is quiet, until we get to the villa, and everyone hops out of the back. John comes around and grabs Nerina from me so that I can get out but, instead of handing her back to me, he continues to carry her into the house. Hmm, I'm going to have to nip that in the bud. I can't have him going after my granddaughter. When we are all inside, John places Nerina on the couch as one of the ladies grabs a wet towel and places it on her forehead.

"Well, now that we are all going to be on more civilized terms. How about we introduce ourselves?" John suggests.

"Of course. I'm Ashe, as you all know by now."

"I'm Anne."

"I'm Cordelia, but you can call me Corie."

"Elizabeth, or Lizzie."

"I'm Nikita but everyone calls me Kita."

"And I'm Kailani. You can call me Kai."

After the introductions, the grandfathers go off with their respective granddaughters to get to know them better. John and Corie are staying inside, next to Nerina.

"So how long have you known Nerina?" I ask.

"Well, I've been friends with Ne since we were young. We were neighbors in elementary school and so, obviously, we went to the same school. She's only three years older than me, so we still sort of played in the same circle kind of."

"How about the rest of the girls?" John asks.

"Well, Nikita and Nerina became friends in junior high. Then Anne, Lizzie, and Ashe, we met in high school because they did a foreign exchange program, but Lizzie and Nerina had been pen pals for like, two years prior to that because of a pen pal program at our high school. Kailani was another childhood friend of ours. She lived in our neighborhood too."

"What does she do for a living? Does she have any siblings? What about her parents?" I rapid fire questions at her. I want to know everything about my family.

"Woah there Will. Why don't you let HER answer those questions for you when she wakes up?" Corie suggests.

"Fine. I suppose." I sigh.

"So, what has it been like to go from living in the 1800s to living in modern times?" Corie asks, hesitantly.

John and I honestly didn't know how to answer that question, we knew that we would have lived an unnaturally long life without having time jumped like we had but would we have lived forever? Who knows?

"Honestly, it was difficult. The customs, language, and the way everyone dressed was completely opposite of what we knew. Women wore pants for crying out loud!" John says in exasperation.

That was the part that confused us most was when we saw women wearing trousers. Corie couldn't help but laugh at his issue of women wearing pants. Honestly, having lived through these past several decades, I can understand the humor of his exasperation.

"It was difficult to adjust, particularly with the language. We still don't understand some of the verbiage you guys use these days."

"Yes, I've been meaning to ask. What does it mean when a woman wants to 'climb you like a tree'?" John asks.

Corie bursts out laughing, doubling over and clutching her stomach. Whatever John had asked was obviously very humorous to her, this caused John to huff in indignation. Once she got herself under control, she took a deep breath and answered.

"It means that she wants to have sex with you." She says, bluntly.

John's ears and face turn as red as a beet, and I couldn't help the astonishment that crossed my features.

"So, Nerina wants to have sex with me?" John asks.

"Pretty much, yeah." Corie acknowledges.

Over my dead body is that happening.
