Void Eternal

Lock was never a lucky person. At an early age he lost his mother and had a father that he never met. The people hated him and tormented him for no logical reason. The only thing that kept him moving was his promise to be better, but when that promise was taken from him, what did he have left? After all the only thing he ever really had was nothing.

Lock patiently waited as he was carried by the strange beings. Lock listened to them attentively. However, their language sounded very strange. Almost as if it was being distorted.

'An enchantment?' Lock thought.

Lock has read of it before. Enhancements offer powers that awakeners can use for many things. although he has never seen one before.

Upon reaching a certain distance, The beings suddenly turned around and approached Lock. They were holding a piece of cloth with strange runes written on it.

'Are they blindfolding me?' Lock wondered.

When the beings got close enough, they forcefully raised his head by tugging his hair before roughly strapping the cloth on his eyes.

"Ugh." Lock groaned as the beings dropped their heads.

Afterwards, the bumpy feeling came back.

'Looks like they're bringing me to their headquarters.' Lock thought as he visibly sighed.

After around 30 minutes, the creatures came to a halt. He heard them shout something before another voice replied, followed by the sound of something heavy moving.

'Are we here?' Lock was curious.

The beings conversed again and came to a silence. He was slowly put down, and the blindfold in his eye was removed.

Lock's brows furrowed as he adjusted his eyes to the surroundings. Once his vision cleared up, he was astounded by the scenery in front of him.

He was inside a beautiful room that seemed to be made of precious gems. The walls shined, and the beings inside screamed elegance.

"Where the fuck am I?" Lock said, which earned him a confused look from the locals.

'Is everyone here this beautiful?' Lock thought as he observed the physical appearance of the people inside the gigantic room.

Lock allowed his eye to wander around the place and saw a giant throne in front. There were also armored soldiers guarding the whole place.

'A throne room...', Lock realized.

There was also a woman sitting on the throne. Her face was covered with a veil, and Lock could feel a slight pressure coming from her.

There was a part of him warning him that the one sitting on the throne was strong and dangerous. This made Lock raise his guard further.

The woman clicked her fingers, and suddenly a figure appeared beside her. She whispered something, and the figure vanished again before reappearing in front of Lock.

He was startled by this, and his instinct took over. He broke the binds with void corrosion and summoned his axe from his inventory.

The beings inside the throne room were alerted by his sudden move, and the guards immediately surrounded Lock with their spears pointing at him.

The guards slowly started advancing, and the wall of spears started to shrink. Lock looked at this as panic started to seep in.

That was until the one sitting on the throne clapped her hands.

The soldiers immediately halted and put down their weapons before going back to their stations. Lock breathed a sigh of relief.

Lock observed carefully with his guard at maximum as the queen stood up from her throne. Suddenly, a massive pressure rained down on Lock, which made him almost kneel.

Not only that, but the pressure seemed to also contain a strong charm effect, which made Lock want to submit and serve the woman.

<Initiating emergency protocol.>

Lock's bones creaked under the immense pressure. He slowly raised his hand as he bit his forearm, causing it to bleed. The pain gave him some control as the intrusive thoughts were forced at bay.

The woman halted for a moment after seeking this spectacle, as if she were further intrigued. She held her chin and appeared to be contemplating something.

<Commencing emergency protocol>

Lock didn't notice the strings of system messages due to the pressure and charm. What's noticeable is that Lock started bleeding from his eyes as well.

Lock's vision started dimming as his consciousness started leaving him. He couldn't help but wonder if this is how it feels to die. Then he heard a system message.

<Emergency protocol is complete.>

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

A sudden vortex of void energy suddenly exploded from Lock's body and immediately circled him. The pressure also got destroyed the moment it got near the vortex.

The shockwave caused debries to fly everywhere as the guards circle the queen to protect her. The queen watched everything with interest as the vortex rampaged.

The castle shook as a thundering earthquake encased the land. The townsfolk panicked as they felt the agony of the earth.

The trees shook and trembled as a force so dark that even light cannot pierce it entered the lands. The sky turned dim as the sky thundered.

The goblins also felt this sudden change, and panic engulfed them. The shamans thought that a god descended on the land as they prayed to their deity for help.

The king was escorted by goblin champions to a safe bunker below the camp as the elites closed off the village.

Animals and monsters alike ran in fear as they felt the demonic presence. However, everyone had the same thought: who angered this monster?

Back in the castle of the strange beings, a black vortex rampaged as the castle slowly cracked. The people inside all wore grim expressions on their faces.

At first, they thought that the strange boy was a goblin-elf hybrid. Their species were called elves, and they ruled these lands until the plague-like goblins invaded them.

The goblins took their kind and used them as reproductive means to increase their numbers. Afterwards, they would kill them if they were no longer useful.

This caused a massive war to erupt between them. Unfortunately, the elves couldn't just kill the goblins, even if they were stronger.

Like all successful species, they are bound to have a strong backer. In the goblins' case, it was a deity who blessed the goblin king, which gave him a massive boost of power.

The goblin king got so strong that the elven queen had to rethink twice before invading. While they were better armed and experienced, the goblins far outnumbered them.

Elves had a low birth rate due to their unique body structure. The elven males simply didn't have a potent enough seed as magic coursed through their veins.

Every elf kind surely has magic, and this magic has altered their bodies over time. longer lifespan but a lower fertility rate.

This is why they also valued their women greatly, and when they saw Lock, they thought he was an abomination caused by a goblin taking advantage of an elf.

They were greatly mistaken.
