"Thanks." He walked back to the stove as she went back to working on her assignment, "whoa, what did you do? This is running so much smoother now!" She looked up at him with awe. He paused, turning his attention back to making dinner. "You will still need a new laptop soon, but that should at least get you through the rest of the semester." A moment later, still with his attention focused on making dinner, "So how did you end up doing last night? I saw several guys putting tips in after I did." "Uh.. well.. I honestly forgot to count.
