Talk with the principle

Max entered the building designated for teachers. It was still morning and because of that not many people were present. When he entered some of the teachers payed him some attention and their faces changed. One of the commoner teachers asked with some anger in his voice: "Teacher Max what is the meaning of this?"

Max said: "Well a noble almost killed the kid. I healed him but he lost a lot of blood. Don't worry I punished the noble. According to the rules of the academy I hit him with a strike while lowering my strength to his knight apprentice level. Let's say that I'm not sure who will recover first."

"..."

Max smiled to the response: "Well all according to the academy rules. If I would really hit with all the power a level two knight apprentice could gather this student will just blow up. So I lowered the strength. Everything is fine."

The commoner teacher felt revealed and smiled at Max. After that he made a questioning face and said: "Why did you came here? Why not go with him to the cleric facilities?"

"Well I want to talk with the principle. I healed him with magic. He should be fine after some time. I just wanted to show how commoner students are beaten up and why no one is looking after the commoner accommodations to not let such event happen again. Also I did not know we have a cleric facility and where it is located."

Other noble with a gold sign on his robes said: "What was the name of the noble that attacked?"

Max saw that this teacher had a golden sign on the robes like the noble kid that attacked. He tried to remember what title every circle represented. After a second of consideration he remembered that he saw this information in the book:

White circle - Commoner relative.

Blue circle - Baron relative.

Purple circle - Viscount relative.

Green circle - Earl relative.

Orange circle - Marquess relative.

Gold circle - Duke or royal relative.

Max looked at the girl and asked: "What was the brats name?"

The girl answered: "Blake Graham."

This teacher to Max's "luck" was one of his relatives. The top noble families had a very strong grasp over the academy. Their control was huge. The teacher's name was Dray Graham.

The teacher asked with fury: "Where is he? It is one of my closest relatives in this academy. Why would you punish him? He is a good kid."

Max answered: "I did not know that kicking someone to almost death while having your friends laugh from the side and threaten me and my family is an indication for a good kid. He is near the commoner accommodation if his friends did not took him away.

Dray asked: "How is he?"

Max shrugged and answered: "Well he will live. He broke some bones but he will be fine after some time. I hope he learned his lesson."

Dray said with a dark face: "Don't you afraid of the Graham family retaliation?"

Max got the point that this guy did not do who he was. To not create a situation he will get attacked because they did not know who he was he said: "Well i sieged the Valeria capital by myself and nothing happened to me. I think I will be fine."

Dray paled. After some consideration he said: "I want to see the principle as well."

Max did not object. Dray, Max and his company went towards the principle cabinet. They were called quickly inside. When they entered Dray did not wait for anyone to say anything and said: "This teacher attacked Blake Graham. He need to be punished!"

The principle exclaimed: "What?!? Teacher Max. I need an explanation!"

Max got the point of Dray going inside. He wanted to try and manipulate the principle.

Max said: "I'll explain but don't interrupt me. We saw how Blake had beaten this kid almost until death because he did not join his faction. When I told him to stop he threatened me and my family. According to the rules of the academy I could give him different punishments and I decided to punish him with a hit at his power level. Because his foundation was horrible I knew that if I really hit with the power of second apprentice knight he will blow up so I hit him a little weaker. He broke some bones but he will live. He will consume more alchemical products and he will be fine. That's what generally happened. I came to ask about the fact that commoners can get beaten to death in the academy grounds and no one reacted. If we will not come he would just die. The noble brat will most likely will get a slap on the wrist and continue doing the same. It is wrote that all students should treated the same way. I just work by the book."

The principle got the point but still asked: "How is Blake Graham? What was his condition the last time you saw him?"

Max laughed and said: "Well he had his ribs, arms and legs broken. But he will be fine. How should we protect the commoners principle? If the commoners will be protected such situations will not happen."

The principle sighed and said: "I will think of a way. Try to be more vigilant for now. You are the closest teacher to the commoners accommodations."

The principle felt a headache coming. This Max was insane. He attacked a duke's child.

The principle added: "Try to not leave the academy grounds. The Graham family may try to bring you to justice." After this he looked at Dray. Dray was looking at Max with a cold light in his eyes.

Max got the point. He laughed and said: "According to the rules of the academy if someone from outside try attack a teacher he can retaliate in full force. I guess people will just die. Don't worry principle. I will be fine."

The principle paled. He wanted to make the Graham family calm down but Max just did not care. After that Max said: "Some noble kid tried to attack me near the entrance of the city because he said I took his place. I spared him but he got people to attack me. They just died. Same thing will happen to others that will go after me. Its simple."

After hearing this the principle paled even more. "Did this kid was called Tom?" He asked.

Max thought about it and said: "Maybe I'm not sure. There was a flare and a lot of people arrived. A lot of them died."

The principle sighed in defeat. Dray did not change in face but he knew that he had more allies to try and do something to Max.

After a few more words with the principle Max said: "If needed this girl can say who accompanied the noble. I will keep an eye on the commoner brats." After that he handed the bloodied kid to the principle and left with his group.
