"Wilfred there is no need for formalities. You can call me Max like before. Like I told you before you need to pick better people to follow you. If it was not me but a hot-headed guy, then most of the people here will just die. You included. As for the sword. I hope it will give you the push to elevate your skill level. If you want, I can show you my best weapon but it's not for sale. It's just to broaden your horizons." Max said.
The Gold sword already had a lot of attack damage. The silver long sword Max had +20 attack damage with no enchantment at all. At +10 the attack damage went to +40 attack damage. It meant every encashment increased the damage numbers by 2. The gold weapon attack damage started from +40 attack damage. Every encashment increased the damage by 5. Max was lucky to get +8 gold long sword that he wanted to show to Wilfred.
"This long sword is at the same level of two normal gold weapons. Take a look." Max said.
Wilfred took the sword and was dazed for a moment. "Is it enchased?" Wilfred asked.
"Yeah. Its enchanted 8 times." Max answered.
"Is it really possible to enchant equipment 8 times?" Wilfred asked. He felt that this new weapon was at a totally different level. He was not a fighter, but his instincts of a blacksmith told him that his sword was dog shit compared to what he saw now. He had a new goal for now. To interact with this powerful mage and see if he can learn something from examining the equipment.
"Are you a blacksmith?" Wilfred asked. He was not sure. This guy was a powerful mage and a knight. He could possibly be a blacksmith as well.
"No. It's just weapons that I can get. It is hard to explain. If you want, you can come to my gaming club that is located near the church and I can try to explain you how I get the weapons there." Max said.
The answer was strange, but Wilfred accepted it. The other blacksmiths looked at the scene in a strange way. This guy just killed the bodyguard of mister Wilfred, but the old man did not show any bad intentions towards him. Also, this guy showed superb weapons and he still did not admit he is a blacksmith.
Soon the higher ups of the blacksmith pavilion arrived at the scene. The pavilion master that was one of the newcomers and he shouted: "What the hell happened?!"
Max wanted to say something, but Wilfred got to talk first.
"Eden it's my fault and I will compensate for the losses of the pavilion. My bodyguard attacked this gentleman with no reason, and he died in the process. Please tell me how much I need to pay." Wilfred said to the pavilion master.
Wilfred knew Eden for a long time. He and the pavilion master were pretty close in their level of blacksmithing. Because of that there was a mutual respect between the two.
"Hmm? How did Bernie die? He is a knight level fighter. Only the adventurer's guild head can deal with him. Is he really dead?" Eden asked.
"Well, he offended and then attacked the wrong people. Let me introduce you. This is mister Max. He is a fire mage and a knight. Bernie attacked him for no reason. Max this is Eden. He is the blacksmith pavilion master. Mister Max showed me some of his weapons and even sold me a weapon for 100 gold coins. I thought that my level of blacksmithing was good, but I guess I became too arrogant. This experience humbled me. This is the time to try new stuff and grow as a professional. Compared to what he showed me my weapon don't amount to much. It is just very average." Wilfred said with a sigh.
Max nodded to Eden. The blacksmith pavilion master was a little scared, but he still nodded back. When he saw the weapon that Max sold to Wilfred, he started to look at it from different directions and discuss his thoughts with Wilfred about different aspects. The due started to talk about different blacksmithing techniques while trying the weapon and hitting it with their fingers from time to time. The pavilion master did not care about the hole in the wall anymore. He was a true enthusiast.
Max understood that the problem was solved. He only had one question to ask.
"Excuse me pavilion master. Could I sell my equipment here? Am I allowed to enter the pavilion in the future? I have a lot of different pieces of weapons and armors to sell. Some of them are at the quality level of what I sold to Wilfred." Max said.
"Sure thing. You can come anytime." Eden said and then continued his discussion with Wilfred. He did not care about what happened anymore. He cared more about the long sword before his eyes.
"I got it. Thank you. You are always welcomed to visit my gaming club. If you complete my test, you will have a chance to get different pieces of equipment." Max said while gesturing Derek that they were leaving.
The pavilion master waved his hand at them, and Wilfred promised to come and have a look at the different weapons from Max's collection in a later date.
After the duo left Eden asked: "Is this guy really killed Bernie? You are not messing with me, right?"
"Remember this my friend. Try to build a good relationship with this guy. He is a powerhouse. I have no idea what the hell is he doing here but if he really will have bad intentions there is no one to stop him." Wilfred said with a sigh.
"Alright. You always saw through people better than me. What is this gaming club?" Eden asked.
"I have no idea. I guess we need to find out all the answers when we come for a visit. I plan to go there tomorrow. This club located near the church. It will be easy to find. You can come with me if you want." Wilfred said.
"I'll come. Do you think only you want to see good equipment and maybe still have the chance to advance to a level of a master blacksmith? Let's go tomorrow afternoon." Eden said.
