Alchemy competition results

After Max saved the young lady, the others became more alert and started to use their brains more than before. When you can blow your hand off or just blow up to mush because of your stupidity you will start to think more with your head. It did help some of the participants, but not all of them.

With some of the kids that were acting like retards there were some that really got what Max showed. Max saw that some of the youths were doing a lot better. Although they were just mimicking Max and not really understanding the process it was still not that bad. Without understanding the "why?" they still did pretty well. With small mistakes here and there, a few made potions that would count as low level potions in terms of the alchemy association, but were trash for Max.

Time slowly passed and more and more of the children did something that resembled potions. Max sighed, but he was not that mad right now. Those so-called prodigies were really good. At least they were better than normal brats for sure. Soon the three hours of time passed, and a gong was heard that announced the end of the time to try and make the healing potion. All the participants that were not disqualified by Max finished what they could and just waited for the result to be announced by this judge. Those youths did not really know how to address this man in front of them. He was very harsh in his comments to a lot of the prodigies of the different countries that he disqualified, but at the same time he gave them all a great alchemy lesson that could be called priceless. It was hard to find a competent alchemist that could explain well. Thats why the general impression was not clear for a lot of the young men and women that tried their luck in this alchemical competition.

Max walked over and looked at all the tables to see the result. When he did not see any low-level potion in terms of his standards, he was disappointed, but when he remembered how much it took him to get to the level of those kids, he dismissed his previous thoughts. At the second time that he walked around the tables of the kids he took the potions of two young men and a potion of a beautiful blonde girl teenager and declared: "Well, the competition is done. Thanks for everyone that took part in it! I would like to say that it started as a total disaster and ended just with a mild embarrassment. After my pointers some of you tried to kill themselves and their neighbours for an unknown reason to me. For those people I would advise to be careful. Making a soup would get you crimpled or killed. I am not joking. As for the others. I could see that you improved but it is not good enough. Some of you did a soup with shit, other did something that will be called low level potion by the alchemy association, but dog shit by me and one of you even did a middle level healing potion in terms of the alchemy association that is still shit. The potion of the ginger boy here is the third place. Try to see where your mistakes are and try to fix them. I see that you don't have magic affinity so the highest potion level you can make is the high-level potion of the alchemy association without any flowing crap in it. It should be the goal for all of you brats. The second place goes to the pretty blonde girl. The potion is shit, but it is the second-best potion, so I guess you did not so horrible job. As for the first place, it goes to mister perfect right here. You did a slightly better potion than the others. You have a lot of work to do if you want it to get to a level of a potion with no harmful substance flowing inside. I can tell that if anyone of you will get a potion with no impurities you can come to my country, and we can talk about your studies of alchemy. What all of you did right now was to copy me like monkeys. It is not the worst strategy, but it is not good enough. If you want consistent results you need to understand why you are getting the results in the way you get them and you need to feel alchemy and not just hope for the best. Alchemy requires precision and skill. If you hope for the best go for blacksmithing. Alright, good luck brats."

After finishing his speech Max went back to his place. There were 3 pretty low-level country king that were celebrating from the inside, because their brats got not only the prize, but they got to a level when they can do real low-level potions. It could boost those countries really hard economically, even if they will sell it to the alchemy association for a lower price because the amount of potions Max's county was producing increased by the day.

The young prodigies reacted differently to what Max said. Some were angry, some were indifferent, and some really tried to take his words to heart. The three winners that were from two level two countries and the perfect boy that was from a level four country took it to heart. They really appreciated that Max explained to them how to make this potion right.

As for Max. He just returned to his sit and waited for this competition to end. The competition was not that horrible, and it was not really boring, but he knew that there were a lot of problems that were coming his way.

The organizers tried to smooth things and tried to entertain the crowd and continue with the fighting competition. Max was trying to be optimistic and hope for some good seedlings that he could pick up. He did not have much hope after what he saw until now, but hope dies last.
