"What?" Adela arched her brows as she heard him. Adela's eyes widened at the mention of Senior Max. Max was a highly experienced mage and one of their most reliable allies. If something had happened to him, it could spell trouble for their group. She took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart and focus on the situation at hand.
"Ian, tell me what happened with Senior Max," Adela said, her voice firm but filled with concern.
"He did not tell me much, but when I found out he was with Camilla, and was not looking good," Ian answered. Adela's worry deepened when she heard Camilla was with Max. She said, "Why did not you inform me?"
"I tried, Adela, but you were out of my range. I could not locate your mana, and when I did, it was not in my range. I don't have much energy to summon you or teleport." Ian said.
