Just then, Chen Dongxi's phone rang. The number was unfamiliar, but he answered it without much thought.

"Who is this?"

On the other end was a sweet, flirtatious voice. "Dongxi, it's me! Tomorrow's the weekend, and I really want to go out tonight. Will you come with me?"

The voice belonged to Xiao Tian, and it immediately sent a chill down Chen Dongxi's spine. His eyes darted nervously to Wang Yunzhi, who was still engrossed in planning their camping trip and hadn't noticed his conversation. Breathing a sigh of relief, he excused himself from the room and hurried to the men's bathroom.

"Why aren't you saying anything? Are you refusing?" Xiao Tian's voice held a playful edge, but there was a hint of irritation.

Chen Dongxi, now sweating, whispered, "Tiantian, I've got something important tonight. Can we meet tomorrow or the day after?"

Xiao Tian's tone grew sharp. "The important thing is your wife, right? You keep saying you're getting a divorce, but you're still running back to her. Are you trying to have it both ways, Dongxi?"

Chen Dongxi wiped the sweat from his forehead. He regretted ever getting involved with Xiao Tian, yet here he was, caught between his wife and his mistress, struggling to manage both.

"That's not it at all. Fine, where do you want to go tonight?" He gave in, deciding he'd meet Xiao Tian and still try to keep his camping plans with Wang Yunzhi later.

Xiao Tian's anger softened. "I've been dying to try an escape room, but I'm too scared to go alone. You'll come with me, right? You'll protect me, Prince?"

The idea of an escape room made Chen Dongxi's mind race. In the dark, enclosed space, it would be the perfect opportunity to get close to Xiao Tian. "Of course, Tiantian. I'll be your prince tonight. Just tell me where."

Xiao Tian giggled. "Great! I'll book the place and send you the details soon."

Chen Dongxi agreed, feeling the thrill of playing both sides. He hung up, smoothing his expression before returning to the office.

Wang Yunzhi glanced up as he entered. "Who was that?"

Chen Dongxi feigned a tired sigh. "It was the leader of the teaching and research group. The Math Olympiad is next week, and they want me to print out the competition materials and send them over tonight."

Wang Yunzhi's face fell. "So, no camping?"

He quickly reassured her. "No, no. You go ahead and drive to the camp spot we reserved. I'll finish up here and meet you there later. I promise I won't miss our night under the stars."

Wang Yunzhi looked disappointed but nodded understandingly. "Alright. But don't be too late."

With his plan set, Chen Dongxi smiled inwardly. "Two women, one night. This is going to be perfect."

The owner of the escape room scratched his head, then smiled. "You must be bringing a big group if you want the whole place. Normally, it's 200 yuan per person, but for a private booking, I'll give you a deal 2,000 yuan for the night."

Qi Lin didn't bother haggling. "Deal. Here's the payment."

After scanning the payment, Qi Lin turned to the owner. "One more thing. I need the key to the escape room, and I want your staff to take the night off."

The owner blinked in surprise. "No staff? Without a guide, you won't know how to use the equipment or get the full experience."

Qi Lin flashed a confident smile. "That's part of the fun. Don't worry, we won't break anything."

The owner, puzzled but happy to save on labor costs, handed over the key. "Alright, it's your call. Just be careful."

With the place all to himself, Qi Lin prepared for the trap he was setting. After everything was in place, he pulled out his phone and dialed Chen Dongxi again, using the sweet, playful voice of Xiao Tian.

"Dongxi hehe~ I booked the escape room! I've just sent you the location. Come quick, I can't wait!"
