Glossary

Anointed: A human that is born in the Veil.

Curse: A fraction of the power of the Possessor that is being passed down to their chosen human

Essence: Energy from a soul, it can be used to achieve inhuman feats.

Gift: A fraction of the power of the Keeper being passed down to their chosen human.

Keeper: A soul that has achieved enlightenment and is able to enter a human to assist them in deeds.

Possessed: A human that has been taken over or invaded by a demon from Hell.

Possession: A possession is different from a person that has been possessed. A Possession has been deemed worthy enough to contract with a powerful demon willing to share its power for mutual gain.

Possessor: This is a demon that has entered in a divine binding contract with a human for both their mutual gain.

St. Peters Seminary: Exorcists are born and raised in the Seminary. Here they are taught theology, mathematics, science and various other subjects.

The Veil: A realm in between the metaphysical and physical. Separating the natural from the supernatural.

The Vatican: an organisation built by the first pope to combat demonic possession and other acts from beyond the Veil.

Rank System: This system is used to rank Keepers by their available essence and potential for growth with their Vessel from Platinum to Bronze

The Walk: A Walk is committed by an anointed when they are progressing as an exoricst to achieve the next rank.

The Sins: The Seven Sins are the arch lords and kings of all seven realms of Hell. Each one rules a specific circle in Hell.

Overworld: This is the earth where most humans live and die.

Unanointed: A human born outside the Veil.

Vessel: A human capable of containing another ethereal holy entity
