At the cave, Ruby could be seen lying down on his back. His face was a bit ruffled up due to the exhaustive training he had just done.

For the past hours, he had trained non-stop, familiarizing himself with the new shadow spell. Though he had been training, it was safe to say that it was mainly for controlling his shadow.

'At this rate, I should be able to face a supe with good stats.' Ruby thought. 'But that won't be possible because I need to familiarize myself more with this magic.'

Springing up to his feet, Ruby was ready for another round.

He cracked his head and stretched his stiff hands as the shadows in the room came to life again. 

'My control is progressing quite fast. I wonder if it's like that with the other witches?'

Wrong; it wasn't like that with the other witches. It would take months for a witch to cast a spell. Ruby, on the other hand, did it on the same day.

"Okay, let's see if I can send my shadow out of my body."

Ruby thought of a creative idea as he promptly plunged to the floor and crossed his legs in a lotus posture. He shut his eyes and tried to focus all his senses on the dark mana within him.

Sometime later, his heart started thumping loudly. With each passing moment, the thumping accelerated.

'what's this weird feeling? Why am I feeling pain all over my body?'

Yup, Ruby could feel his insides hurting like mad. It felt like there was a fire lit up in there.

' Is it because I'm the first one attempting such skills?'

It was the only thing that came to mind because he had seen an anime character who had shadow control and performed a similar skill.

'I guess I shouldn't have watched too much anime.'

Ruby thought, but a smile broke on his face the next moment as he felt the silhouette of the shadow beneath him twitch. The shadow seemed to have moved on its own. Ruby was certain that his eyes were not receiving him.

Okay, he breathed in and out. 'Let's try this one last time.'

This time around, the silhouette started leaving his body and appeared on the wall. The shadowy figure, which was identical to him, started waving at him on the wall.

'This magic is damn mad! So the witches kept all this power for themselves? I wonder what the super organization would do.'

As far as Ruby knew, the super organizations were a bunch of selfish bastards who didn't care about anyone and only appreciated the strong. He was sure if they found out about these magics, they'd do anything to get them, even if it cost some lives.

The public probably didn't know about this, but Ruby knew. They were the epitome of role models for the public, after all.

Ruby proceeded to issue a command to the shadow. He wanted to see what the shadow could do.

'slap yourself.'

The shadow slapped itself, but the hand just passed through because it didn't have anybody, to begin with.

'So it can follow orders, huh?' Ruby noted. 'kick the wall.'

 The shadow kicked the wall.

Ruby had confirmed what he wanted to confirm. A bit of time passed before the reality of what he could do with the shadow hit him like a tsunami.

'With this, I can spy on anyone, and it would be hard to spot it .hahaha, I just got the world's most perfect assassin.'

Ruby laughed a bit. With the help of the system, he'd have a lot of information at his fingertips.

He controlled his excitement and ordered the shadow to step out of the room. The shadow obliged and stepped out, and it started roaming around.

Meanwhile, back in the training room, Ruby could see everything the shadow saw.

'This is better than I thought.'

The shadow roamed around as it came to a stop at one of the training rooms. Inside the training room, Sera and Big Bang were in a fight. As usual, Sera had a great sword in his grasp, while Big Bang had altered his hands into something similar.

The shadow slipped to the far corner of the room and started spectating the fight. The fight seemed intense as Sera unleashed a series of sword slashes that dealt critical damage to Big Bang.

The latter was unable to defend against many of the strikes as they slashed his metallic build, resulting in gash after gash.

Ruby, still in the room, had a smile as he watched the duo fight. Though he hadn't mentioned it, he loves it when his minions train together because that would be useful for him.

It's simple. If his minions get stronger, in a way, he also gets stronger because he'd be able to use them effectively without any hiccup in their strengths.

Sometime later, the shadow slipped out of the room through the tiny opening beneath the door.

"So the shadow can manipulate its size into any form he wants?"

Ruby just knew this as the shadow folded itself and slipped under the door.

Roaming ahead, the shadow went to another room, and in this room, Muna and Natasha were bathing together.

'These two. How did they become this close to even bathing together now?'

'This feels wrong. I should leave now before it's too late.' Ruby thought, and the shadow slipped out again. 

'I wonder what one of those perverts in the streets would do if they gained this kind of ability.'

Ruby chuckled because he knew the answer. The person would probably use this shadow to spy on all the girls in the world if he could do so.

Sometime later, the shadow retraced its steps back to the training room Ruby was in.

'Jav, can I make the shadow solid so that It could also practice fighting?'

If that works, in a way, he has just acquired another minion.

[«No! That won't be possible since this is magic. Also, Javi can't make any changes to the magic since it's natural»]

'That makes sense; the creators, whoever they are, didn't think I'd get real magic.'

Ruby soon dismissed his shadow figure. Next, the shadow started wrapping around his hands, and the next moment, it took the shape of a gun.

Ruby grinned as he fired some shots at the wall, and black shadow bullets started leaving the shadowy muzzle. and it hit the wall, causing a small explosion to burst.
