The Birth Of New Evil

After realising that he couldn't do anything about his mother's death, Christopher got up from the ground before wiping away his tears which rather surprised his father.

"I'm going to school now," said Christopher to which his father let out a gasp of surprise. That was the last thing he expected Christopher to say. Especially considering the position he was in. After having lost his own mother right in front of his eyes, the last thing Christopher should have been concerned about was school.

"You know you don't have to act tough right? It's okay to cry. I'll tell the school that you won't be coming back for quite a while. You can take as many days off as you wish. I'm just sorry that I couldn't do much to help your mother," said Christopher's father as he was left helpless. Although Christopher wanted to believe the words that came out of his father's mouth, he was already too far gone. His resolve was too strong to turn back. He wanted revenge for all the pain he was forced to experience. As the seconds passed, his mind continued to shatter all while he thought of all the ways he could become a successful villain.

"It's fine father. I can take care of myself. All I want from you is to get stronger and take your rightful place as the number one hero. Don't you dare give up. Avenge my mother at any cost," said Christopher as he covered his feet in fire and used it as a propulsion system to allow himself to fly to school.

In a world where everyone was given powers to help them survive, Christopher was given the power to control fire. Each and every person got a single ability to use and no more than that. That meant that someone's ability would dictate just how strong they could become. As such, like with everything in life, someone's ability was also based on luck.

Nevertheless, Christophre used his fire to help him fly to his school to which he landed calmly on the school grounds before walking inside the prestigious school which had nearly 10 floors to it due to it being made for the very best students. In most cases, the parents of the children that attended the school were some of the strongest heroes all across the world. Due to the status of Christopher's parents, he was of course a student of that school. There were several buildings on the school ground but the main one which was the one that had 10 floors was constructed of nearly all glass.

After Christopher entered the building, he went towards his classroom without saying a single word to anyone. If anyone tried to speak to him, he simply gave a short reply before turning his attention elsewhere once again. Seeing this, even his teacher took notice of the rather sad Christopher which was usually more energetic.

"You seem rather quiet today Christopher, did a sudden change take place? I hope it's not about your father's ranking as there is no reason for you to get upset at that at all, getting to a point where only a single person is better than you is merely insane to even think about," Christopher's teacher said as he tried to figure out what was wrong with the person who tended to make the most noise in the classroom.

Most of the students in the school were rather well mannered as that was the way that they were raised. They were raised to learn to behave well and to represent themselves quite well. As such, they tended to blend in with the rest and didn't want to do anything which would put attention on themselves. The only people this didn't apply to were the children of the top 5 heroes in the world which seemed to have quite the personality.

Even out of all of them, Christopher was clearly the noisiest out of all of them. As such, the day seemed off when Christopher decided to stay quiet.

"Oh, I'm just a bit tired today, I don't think I got enough sleep. Don't worry though, I'll be coming back with full energy tomorrow," said Christopher with a fake smile. The switch was quite convincing before going back to staying silent. However his head would not go quiet, not even close to being quiet as it continued to think at speeds which couldn't be comprehended.

"Okay seeing as I'm the son of the number 2 hero of the world, becoming a villain is nearly impossible. The best I can do is run away before getting hunted down by all the heroes of the world. Plus I don't think my dad wants to endure the shame that would be brought from an event such as that. Even so, it's his fault this all happened. If only he was the number 1 hero of the world then maybe I wouldn't have to resort to such drastic measures," Christopher thought to himself.

"If I want to actually run away and never return, I need to start my journey quite early. To be perfectly honest, there is no better day than today. Due to the new results being released, father should be getting frustrated then starting to go on his one day quest where he rescues people nonstop which means he would be busy for the entire day. As such, I should be able to go away for just today and not come back. It would take him at least a day to realise that I was gone. I could probably set something up. However I can't mess up right now.

Even the slightest mistake could ruin all my goals and aspirations which right now is to wreak havoc. The only actually reasonable way for me to achieve this is to leave the main city for a while, even forever. I need to attain unparalleled power. I've never actually been able to see my father nor the number 1 hero at full power as all their opponents die before they even go all out. I don't even stand a chance against small time heroes, let alone the greatest powerhouses of all time," said Christopher.

After spending the entire day in agony as he prepared his plan, it was finally time to leave at which he stayed after the class ended so that he could avoid his friends outside of class. He needed to make sure he was alone so he told his friend that he wanted to ask a couple questions on what he didn't understand. After his friend had left he asked a couple questions that he had made up before leaving the school and looked up in the sky to see the sunset.

"It's time. I don't have much time left. Each and every second of my time right now is as valuable as my own life. I have to do this."
