Unexpected Outcome

Tianwu City, Qin family, 3rd day of Patriarch Ceremony

It is already the third day of the Ceremony and many things happened. Many Warriors showed their Strength and Valour in the battlefield, many showed different kinds of skill and gave wonderful performances, and there were also Music, Calligraphy, Dance and Literary performances.

After so many things, it was finally the turn of the Ceremony's protagonist.

Qin Yuanlong came into the arena and the entire crowd started cheering. He first bowed to his father and then bowed to the esteemed guests: the Patriarch of He family, Hu family and An family. There were many others too, like the Alchemist Guild's head, and there is also Armory Pavilion's Pavilion head, and the infamous Global Commerce and Trade's manager.

Alchemist guilds are group of alchemists and are spread throughout the world, the same goes for Armory Pavilion. Armory Pavilion is formed by Forgers, while Global Commerce and Trade Chamber is most popular and they are group of businessmen. Even though Celestial Sect is strongest, but if one has to ask who has the most influence, it would be Global Commerce and Trade Chamber and Shadow Sect. Both of these giants are spread throughout the world, one dealing with business of various precious materials while other deal with information.

In fact, Global Commerce and Trade Chamber has their own unique facilities. They are able to provide products without even visiting them, similar to Online shopping! And, they even allow sending a product to another person, as long as you have their premium token!

In the Arena, Qin Jia smiled and nodded at Qin Yuanlong from his own position.

Qin Yuanlong also nodded and moved towards the center of the arena and displayed his Rank 5 mid stage aura. Then he looked towards 100 Rank 3 late stage and few Rank 4 early stage Warriors and said. "Come!"

He took out a Spear and valiantly started fighting with pure Spear technique. He fought with them bravely without using any Secret Techniques, just with his Weapon mastery for an entire hour!

But, those Rank 3 and Rank 4 Warriors are also no weaker, even if they are forced back, they would again come back and attack. 

Qin Yuanlong would then bravely swing his Spear countering the front with it's tip, while moving agilely avoiding the attack from back. He got a very strong perception and as if he could figure out who is attacking him and who is going to attack him and from what angle! He is always one step ahead from the attacker.

Qin Yuanlong smiled and said loudly. "I have been waiting for full power attack!"

He immediately shouted. "Spear Heart"

A strong and mysterious aura spread in the environment, which mortals can never feel but those Warriors felt a terrifying aura.

Spear is the king of weapon! It is most difficult to master, and it's especially used for Killing! As soon as Spear Heart was used, a killing aura spread surrounding people and those with lesser cultivation felt a deep fear enveloping their hearts!

Even though those Rank 3 Warriors felt difficulty, they immediately overcome it. They are Warriors who had fought in life and death situations and wouldn't go down with a mere aura alone!

But, Qin Yuanlong was different. He was too strong, and with just Spear Heart, he nullified their Spiritual Imprint one by one and in the long run he became victorious!

Qin Yuanlong is a Rank 5 Warrior and possesses much more stamina than Rank 4s, and at the same time, he never used his Spiritual Imprint and also Secret Technique, thus he could last much longer. Even then, the battle prowess he showed overwhelmed everyone!

Li Gang, disguised as another person was hiding there. He was genuinely surprised. 'Such battle prowess, it would be difficult to kill him.'

Qin Jia laughed loudly. "As expected of the next Patriarch I have chosen!"

Li Gang looked at Yuan Guo nearby, and Yuan Guo also looked at him and nodded.

Without wasting any time, Li Gang entered the arena and cupped his fist. "Hello senior brother long, I have heard your name for a long time. I am just a mere traveler who admired you. Please advice me!"

Saying that he paused and then suddenly added. "If possible, I hope to fight with Sword!"

Qin Yuanlong nodded. "You can fight however you want!"

Li Gang repeated. "No, I mean I want senior brother to use Sword to advice me in a Sword fight!"

Qin Yuanlong didn't speak for a while. Qin Jia also narrowed his eyes and said with a deep voice. "Are you here to make a fuss?"

Li Gang immediately showed panicked expression. "No-no, I just love Swords, and I heard Senior brother Long is expert in every weapon, so I thought he can advice me."

Qin Yuanlong smiled. "It's fine, if you wish a Sword fight, we will do that."

Li Gang nodded and thought. 'Good, he is low in stamina already. A person with low stamina has higher chance to let his guard down because they are not only physically exhausted but also mentally.'

Qin Yuanlong took out his Sword and glanced at Li Gang and said. "Make your move."

Li Gang clumsily took out his sword, and made a posture which seems reasonable at a glance but has one or two flaws. Looking at these flaws, any Sword expert would naturally think Li Gang isn't that good at Swordsmanship. 

Qin Yuanlong gave a deep smile to Li Gang and attacked him. His attack was strong and precise just like his Spear arts. 

Li Gang was unable to cope up and every few tens of moves, he would be injured. Soon, Qin Yuanlong's Sword came with a peculiar angle and forcing Li Gang's Sword leave his hands!

Qin Yuanlong then used his elbow to attack from above and made Li Gang sit on his knees!

The whole crowd started cheering at his victory. Qin Yuanlong also smiled and gestured at them.

But, at that time, Li Gang used his Sword Heart and took out his spare Sword to attack Qin Yuanlong. He aimed at his heart and thrusted with full force. There is no possibility of mistake. 

But, to his surprise, Qin Yuanlong grabbed it with just his two fingers behind his back! For the second time, Li Gang felt someone saw through him like a blank page of paper!

Qin Yuanlong smiled and said with a calm voice. "I had been waiting for you to show your colours!"

This statement was said in a very soft voice, but it made Li Gang feel a chill. 

Qin Yuanlong looked at another direction and smiled. "No need to hide anymore, come out."

Yuan Guo, who was looked at by Qin Yuanlong felt gloomy. He knew it was over! He came out immediately, as he is aware there is no point in hiding.

Qin Yuanlong looked at Li Gang and said. "Your plan was truly good. You knew what I am best at is Spear, so you deliberately asked me to use Sword instead and then showed few flaws so that I can let down my guard and you can utilize the moment to assassinate me."

The whole crowd was in commotion!

"What? They came to assassinate young master Qin?"

"Who are they? Are they from He family?"

"Hush.. Don't speak loudly. Don't you see He family patriarch also present here?"

Li Gang and others don't really care about the crowd. Yuan Guo looked at Qin Yuanlong and said deeply. "So, you saw through our disguise there!"

Qin Yuanlong smiled. "No, I couldn't. But I guessed you were there for me. Initially I suspected An Wei, so I sent my guards to monitor him. His intuition told him that Qin Yuanlong is best at Sword. Thus he asked him to use Sword in the battle. Li Gang's strategy was based on the fact that Qin Yuanlong is hiding his ability as Sword user. When hiding your ability, people often misjudge how much to hide, and often hide more than needed. This is something Li Gang wanted to take advantage of. Although Qin Yuanlong misunderstood, he still foiled the entire plan easily. 

Li Gang and Yuan Guo were surprised.

Qin Yuanlong smiled. "I assumed you would want to assassinate me and leave, but you can't do this with such heavy guard. In that case, most likely you would use someone to distract the guard and the best way to do is diversion. Your plan was good but it's a pity."

As he said that, one of the guard near Qin Jia was caught and thrown towards Li Gang and others. And another guard dragged Dai Lin and threw him at Li Gang and others. 

Li Gang looked at Tang Yan and Dai Lin and sighed. 'The plan failed very badly. Except for Fang Chen and Tang Yue who have yet to make a move, everyone else were caught.'
