Reincarnated Warrior?

Li Gang entered the courtyard assigned to him, and immediately went for his cultivation. He took out Arcane Soul Fusion Technique and started solidifying his soul. 

'Arcane Soul Fusion Technique is somehow compatible with Divine Serenity Technique.'

Li Gang has realized that his Spiritual Cultivation seems to be improving and Soul Cultivation is not only solidifying, but also decreasing.

'It seems these two Cultivation technique make a balance to each other. Wang Xueyao must have selected this technique specifically for me. I really don't know if she is an enemy or a friend. At one glance she wants to kill me, and other times she helps me.'

2 months later.

Someone came and knocked the door. 

Li Gang opened his eyes and looked towards the door. He walked up and opened it. 

"Brother Zhang, Outer Disciple Sect Exam is going to take place in few days. Let's go and register for it."

Li Gang looked at the person and said. "Brother Chen, I will not register this time. I will try again later.

This person is Chen Tao. He is an ordinary disciple of Outer Sect, and has been training since 40 years, but only reached Rank 3 peak stage Warrior.

If he were in Azure mountain, talent like him would be carefully groomed. A grade C talent can only be outer disciple here and even may not be qualified to be a disciple in this Sword Gate.

Chen Tao looked at him and asked. "Why?"

Li Gang didn't want to be bothered since it is wasting his time, so he said. "Brother Chen, I have been injured and I am taking rest, I hope you understand."

Chen Tao understood his meaning. "Okay, you take rest. I will come later." Chen Tao is already use to his peculiar behaviour.

Li Gang thought about his cultivation.

'Rank 3 middle stage. I didn't expect cultivating Arcane Fusion Method and Divine Serenity Technique have such a unique effect. My Soul Cultivation has decreased to Rank 4 peak stage. If this continues, I will reach Rank 4 early stage by the end of this year. But, my potential will also be exhausted after that. I may not be able to improve even if I try for another hundred years. It's good that I utilized that Soul Spring as much as I could.'

He washed up and set off. His next destination is Scripture Pavilion. He has already learnt flying sword, so he took it out and started moving. 

The Scripture Pavilion is 27 miles from his current location. Even on foot, he could reach there within a minute, but flying sword not only helps in increasing his speed but also improves his proficiency of sword.

He entered the pavilion for the first time. He looked at one of the elder responsible for managing the library and went near him. He first bowed to him and then asked politely.

"What are the skills I can access with my current level?"

The elder is an old man, with long beard. He is muscular with scars over his right cheek. He looked at Li Gang and replied. 

"As an outer sect disciples, you can only get up to Rank 5 Cultivation and Secret Techniques. If you become Inner Sect Disciple, you can access up to Rank 7 Cultivation Techniques, and on becoming Holy Son, you can chose any of them. But, you can only take three at a time."

Li Gang nodded. He immediately went to the highest floor he can go and started looking for techniques.

He first thought about what he possessed.

'I already have Grade 4 Wind-Thunder Eagle Eye, Grade 6 Face Mask Alteration Method, Grade 6 Voice Manipulation Technique and Grade 8 Blade of Brilliance'

'Other than Blade of Brilliance, I have mastered others to sufficient levels. I am only at Foundational level in Blade of Brilliance. What I need most are Attack, Defense, and Agility.'

He immediately started looking for various techniques. But as he was moving, he found different areas were marked. 

Water attribute, Fire attribute, Earth attribute and so on. There were even Space attribute and Time attribute.

But he resolutely gave up on them. He has already learnt from his mother that he can't cultivate Space and Time attribute Secret Techniques without the capability to sense them. Warriors are only able to sense them after reaching Rank 7.

Suddenly he found an area marked with Sword Technique. He also saw there were Spear Technique, Bow Technique, Saber Technique, etc. He entered the Bow Technique section and looked at many of the techniques.

Gale Arrow Precision, Flame Archer's Fury, Aqua Tempest Shot, Whirlwind Arrow Barrage, Whispering Wind Arrow, and so on.

He chose Whispering Wind Arrow immediately, mainly because this arrow was kind of silent killer and can be shot without any sound. If mastered at a certain level, even Detection of Rank 6s can be avoided.

After this, he carefully selected an Agility type Secret Techniques: Thunderflash Dash.

Thunderflash Dash can be combined with his Wind Rider Sprint. Wind Rider Sprint can effortlessly change direction and move flexibly. But, even though Thunderflash Dash isn't as flexible as Wind Rider Sprint, it has very high Speed. And these are all Grade 5 techniques and much more suitable to him than Grade 2s.

After that, he went to look for Defense type Secret Technique, but he suddenly found a Soul Technique marked region. He immediately went there and found many Soul type Secret Techniques.

Soulshield Ward: By erecting a barrier of pure soul energy, the practitioner forms a resilient shield that deflects spiritual attacks.

Spiritual Needle Attack: Just like it's name, one condenses a needle shaped weapon with their Soul and attacks the opponent.

Li Gang selected Soulshield Ward after some thought. He doesn't possess any defensive methods against Soul attacks, so it is better to have one.

He came out and registered the scrolls he is taking and left.

As he was moving, he found a young man arguing with a woman. 

"What do you mean Zhou Yuerong?"

"Exactly what you heard, I am with young master Yan. I hope you recognize your reality and null our marriage contract. I advise you Lin Fan, you better not overestimate yourself."

The man named Lin Fan is an average looking young man, but his eyes suddenly turned sharp. Lin Fan is Rank 2 early stage Warrior. In one of the battle 3 years ago, he was injured, and no longer made progress. He is only 16 years old this year. He looked at her like a clown and said. 

"You better remember what you said."

Saying that he took out a paper and directly wrote a divorce later and threw it on her face.

"You..." Zhou Yuerong was angry, but Lin Fan left without caring.

Li Gang looked at Lin Fan and followed him silently. After reaching a certain place, Lin Fan stopped.

Lin Fan looked around, making sure no one is here, he smirked. "This emperor is still alive?" 

He looked within his body and sensed a small tower. 'Is this tower helped me reincarnate? I found it in the forbidden land Graveyard of Immortals. I never thought it has this function. I tried all methods and couldn't even refine it but it chose me as it's master!'

He said while gritting his teeth. "Wang Xueyao, that b*tch, you wait for me. You schemed against me, controlling all those Immortals to attack me. I will ascend and kill you sooner or later."

Li Gang narrowed his eyes, as he was listening to him. 'I didn't expect to get such a result. I need to find a chance to Soul Search him. He is most likely a reincarnated person. And the fact that he knows Wang Xueyao means he is from the same world. Who are Immortals? It seems the cultivation doesn't end with Warriors.'

Li Gang suddenly thought of the Soul Spring of the Small World which was generated out of thin air and immediately realized. 

'He must be from that place. I thought Wang Xueyao is at least Rank 7 in her previous life, but she is able to control Immortals! From his statement, she schemed against him and most likely still alive there. This means her current self is really not a reincarnation as I thought before, but...'

Li Gang murmured. "After realizing the reality of this world, I expected her to be from 'that' place. But it still shocks me. It gives me despair when I think about it. I wonder if I will ever reach such heights."

As soon as Li Gang murmured, Lin Fan immediately realized. He shouted. "Who?"

Li Gang didn't hide anymore and came out. "Hello brother, I am Zhang Hao. I saw your fight with that girl and I..."

Lin Fan shouted. "Don't talk about that b*tch!"

Li Gang nodded but still said. "I saw her being coerced by Yan Fei. He forced her to get away from you or else he would kill you."

Lin Fan was surprised. He looked at Li Gang deeply and his heart throbbed. 'Damn, this obsession is still here.'

He asked. "Is it true?"

Li Gang nodded. "It is true. But, you better not contact with her as of now, otherwise it would backfire. I think you should enter the inner sect and then teach him the lesson."

Lin Fan narrowed his eyes. "Are you trying to create enmity between me and that person?"

Li Gang replied innocently. "How can that be? Rather, he already sees you as an enemy. Be careful, he might do something shady during the outer sect exam."

Li Gang doesn't know whether Lin Fan would take outer exam or not, but his words are vague. He only said Lin Fan would be attacked during the exam, but whether as a participant or when he is at his courtyard, he didn't mention. Sometimes one has to deliberately create a loophole in the answer, and let the opponent have his own assumptions. He did the same against Jiang Fugui and now he is doing the same against Lin Fan.

After talking a while, Li Gang left the place and came to his room while reading one of the scrolls.

After returning, he put away the scroll and murmured inwardly. 'In order to get his life long memory and experience, I have to weaken his soul. An immortal's soul won't be easy to search. At least it won't be possible in the near future. If I had known, I wouldn't have taken a defensive soul technique but an attacking one.'

Li Gang discarded all pointless thoughts and started cultivating.
