Ethereal Sect

Li Gang learnt all of Lin Fan's Formation experience, Alchemy experience, Poison experience, Battle experience, Sword Mastery, Understanding of elements like Space, Time, Wind, Water, Earth, Thunder, Fire, Soul, and so on!

It's like becoming elite from a newbie, and reaching heaven in one step! But, he still has to process all this information and digest it. It would still take time.

It's similar to how in small grades in schools, Teachers force the students to memorize multiplication tables. But, even though the student learns the table, he still doesn't know their use or their true meaning until he reaches higher grades!

Except for understanding of elements, which Li Gang can process much faster, the other aspects like Sword Mastery, Formation, Alchemy, etc. would need time and practice. There is no such thing as free lunch. You have to work hard to go higher at the end. There are many other things, which are useless to Li Gang now.

He even learnt many methods to improve talent from this memory.

There are many methods, like Soul Matching pill, engraving an artificial formation on the soul itself and create an artificial Spiritual Imprint, taking the help of Emperors, virginity of Natural Enchantment body, and so on.

Li Gang thought. 'Now, I no longer need to cultivate. The effect would be minimal, from Lin Fan's memories, I got multiple methods to increase the talent. Until I obtain any of them, I would spend my Cultivation time in digesting all these information. It is impossible for my current Soul to digest all this. I will process as much as I can for now.'

Thinking of this, Li Gang no longer waited. He took out a token, and according to the description of the recording talisman, he remembered the place and immediately used the token.

His mind turned blank and when he appeared again, he was in the street. Everyone looked towards him like a ghost as soon as he appeared, but Li Gang didn't care. He moved to a nearby person and asked in a straightforward way.

"Do you know where is Ethereal Sect?"

The man looked at him and became afraid. He hurriedly replied. "Great Lord, look at that huge mountain, Ethereal Sect is situated over there."

Li Gang looked towards the direction he pointed and was surprised. "Such a huge mountain!"

Then he frowned. 'Even though this mountain is huge, but this is no where near Sword Gate.'

But he still nodded and immediately left in the direction he pointed over the sword. He has already discarded Arcane Stormrider after learning how to ride sword. 

Even though using Sword is not as efficient as that Rank 5 beast, he can no longer afford to feed it. He is low on Spirit Stones.

Li Gang soon reached the top of the mountain, where he found a huge gate. It reminded him of the place where Sword Gate sect leader resided. 

There were two guards. 

He went there, and the guards asked in a local language. "What are you doing here?"

Li Gang has already learned at least 50 languages of this world, but he still didn't understand his words. 

'May be this language is very uncommon, otherwise I would have known.'

He spoke in the language of Silver Frost Province locals. "Do you understand this language?"

The guard seems to understand and spoke in the same language. "Yes, can you tell why are you here?"

Li Gang felt relieved. He replied. "I want to join the sect."

The guard nodded. "You can register here, and arrive a month later. A huge beam of light will be lit that would be visible throughout the Ethereal Peak Territory. When you see that light, remember to arrive here within a day. Take this talisman and make sure you have this when you come."

Li Gang nodded, and after registering, he asked for a nearby inn and left the place.

But as soon as he left, a huge thunder sounded and water started pouring out. Li Gang got wet in the heavy rain, but he didn't mind. He looked at the sky and sighed. 

"Now you are manipulating me, but one day, I will control my own fate. All of you will be mere tools to me. Leaving me alive when I am still growing is your biggest mistake!"

No one knows what is in Li Gang's mind. 

Li Gang discarded all pointless thoughts and left that place. Soon he came to the inn, and immediately changed into new clothes and put the wet cloth to dry up.

Even if there is a rain, light doesn't disappear. Because it's source is not sun.

Li Gang remembered something and went to the innkeeper again. He said. "Call me out when you see the sudden light that shines from Ethereal Sect and covers the entire Ethereal Peak Territory."

The innkeeper understood.

Li Gang returned to his room and after preparing everything, he slept. Yes, he slept. Reason?

When you learn something new, the best way to process it is to sleep on it. That's because sleeping helps strengthen the newly learnt memories. It also helps to link new memories to earlier ones. You might even come up with creative new ideas during the sleep.

This sleep of Li Gang lasted entire month.

The innkeeper came to wake up Li Gang. He knocked hard. Li Gang woke up with sleepy look. He said. "You can go now."

The man nodded and left.

Li Gang suppressed all the discomfort.

'I really want to sleep more. If the innkeeper hadn't woke me up, I would have missed it.'

He suppressed his desire to sleep and started packing up. Then he changed his clothes to new ones and immediately set off.

As soon as he came out, he saw it was still raining. Li Gang looked at the villagers and found that they didn't get wet. He immediately asked one of the man. "Where can I buy Water resistant clothes?"

The people here are well versed in both local languages and some languages of other parts of Central Continent. This is mainly because all kinds of people reside here due to presence of Ethereal Sect. 

Many parents come here with their child and settle here.

The man replied. "You can buy in any cloth shop."

Li Gang understood. He has already noticed few cloth shops on his way. He went to one of the shops which was on the way and brought the clothes. They were quite cheep and sold for only few Spirit Stones.

After changing into new outfit, he immediately took out his sword and flew towards Ethereal Sect.

In no time, he reached his destination and took out the talisman and gave it back to the guard. The guard nodded and let him through the gate. It has already been an evening and there are only few hours left before the start of the exam.

As soon as Li Gang entered the Gate, he was shocked to see the interior! It was entirely different from outside. The whole Ethereal Sect resides in a different Space!

'Too beautiful! Is this why they call it Ethereal?'

The tall trees, the beautiful web like river, the full fledged developed sect, and even the sky. Everything looks unreal.

The Guard suddenly woke up Li Gang from his shock and said. "Everyone who comes here for the first time is lost in his senses. There is a reason why Ethereal Sect is said to be on par with Celestial Sect!"

He has a hint of pride when he said this and Li Gang didn't deny it. He has also heard the rumours of Ethereal Sect. Looking at the scene, it is beyond what a mere rumour can define.

Soon he reached the competition area. Li Gang had already changed his disguise before even arriving at Ethereal Peak Territory.

He looked at everyone present here. They all are elites among elites. Just their presence makes one feel pressure.

There are even Rank 5s coming here to join the sect!

He looked around and moved towards an enthusiastic looking young man. 

"Hello brother, do you know when it will start?"

The young man looked at Li Gang and said. "There are still 2-3 hours left."

Li Gang then introduced himself. "I am Zhang Hao from Silver Frost Province. You are?"

The man said happily. "I am Gu Shaoyu from Golden Plains."

Li Gang chatted for a while to make Gu Shaoyu get comfortable with him before coming to the main point.

"Do you know who are the top contenders this time?"

Gu Shaoyu replied. "Of course, you asked the right person. I know most of those strong people!"

"The strongest one is Qin Yuanzhi from ancient Qin family of Tianwu City in Western part of Ethereal Peak territory. They said that he has already reached Rank 5 and is only 45 years old by now!

There is even Cheng Kun. He also has reached Rank 5, and is only 47 years old now.

I can continue the list and it will never end, there are many hidden dragons and couching tigers like Murong Sisi from Murong family from the eastern part of Ethereal Peak Territory, Xin Long from Golden Plains, Wen Rong from Verdant Forest Territory, and so on."

"Do you know, even Ji Changchen have come in this tournament."

Li Gang's eyes narrowed when he heard this familiar name.

"They say that Ji Changchen is the most talented person in the whole world. He not only possess a unique physique, but also S grade talent. Although his Spiritual Imprint has not been revealed, but he was able to defeat Rank 4 Warriors when he was Rank 3, and now he has reached Rank 4. I heard he defeated Xin Long who is Rank 4 peak in just few moves!"

He said sarcastically, "Most talented in the whole world? It's quite a big word."

Gu Shaoyu said. "Who knows!"

Li Gang looked at Gu Shaoyu and asked. "Can you tell me everything about this Ji Changchen?"

Gu Shaoyu nodded. "Ji Changchen is the son of the holy lord of Celestial Sect. This is not the reason why he is holy son. The main reason is that, three years before, he was just a playboy. But, three years ago something changed. He awakened some heaven defying physique which not only changed his temperament but also made him much stronger than before. In last three years, he often travelled. And his cultivation also improved from Rank 2 peak stage to Rank 4."

"It is rumoured that the holy lord of Celestial Sect wants to cultivate his invincible mindset. To achieve that, he has to defeat every enemy effortlessly till he reaches Rank 7."

Li Gang face turned serious. 'I spoiled his plans. It doesn't matter, what I had done earlier would also face his pursuit, this reason would only motivate him further. My situation won't change with it.'
