Chapter 25: Li Gang?

2 Days before Second Test

Huang Ling looked at Ren Ying and Tang Liuyue leaving and said to Li Yuxong. "There is no need to wait anymore. Let's go and kill him."

Li Yuxong looked at her and asked. "Why so suddenly?"

Huang Ling said. "I have been bearing with you. You said you wanted to give him a painful death, you want to make him feel despair, but don't forget, this inheritance is about to end."

"He is too crafty, if we wait longer, he might find ways to deceive us again."

Li Yuxong hesitated. But, Huang Ling forced again. "There is no need to hesitate. The reason why I am saying this is he met me 4 days ago and tried to humiliate me. I wanted to kill him right there, but when I thought about you, I endured it. It is better you kill him with your own hands."

Li Yuxong face changed. "What? Why didn't you tell me before?"

Huang Ling looked at him and said. "I don't want to upset you. But, anyways, I can't endure any longer"

Li Yuxong face became red with anger. "Don't worry, we will kill him now. Let's go!"

Huang Ling grabbed his hand and whispered. "Wait, don't go openly. Let's hide and see what's going on, and when there is a chance, we would kill them."

Li Yuxong and Huang Ling followed Ren Ying and Tang Liuyue.

As they kept moving, soon they reached a cliff. Ren Ying looked at her and puzzled. "Why did you bring me here?"

Tang Liuyue replied. "Nothing, I found about this place some time ago, and wanted to see the view with you. Look at those beautiful birds, and the clouds floating so near to us. Isn't that beautiful?"

Ren Ying nodded with a smile. 

"Yes, it's truly beautiful!"

Hearing an unfamiliar and yet familiar voice, Ren Ying was surprised. He saw the newcomer and a word came out of his mouth. 

"Wang Xueyao" 

Ren Ying's eyes narrowed and he asked. "What are you doing here?"

Wang Xueyao smiled and took out her sword. "What do you think?"

Ren Ying's face changed. He immediately put Tang Liuyue behind him, as if to protect her. Looking at this, Wang Xueyao laughed. 

"You are still as innocent as ever, aren't you?"

Ren Ying narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean?"

But, she didn't speak anymore, in fact, she doesn't need to reply to this answer. Because, someone else replied instead, and that too with action.

Ren Ying's face changed and he groaned. "Aaah" He looked backward and saw Tang Liuyue smiling, but her face no longer seems innocent, but contains mockery.

"Why?"

As this word came out, he remembered the moment he betrayed Li Yuxong. It is said well: What goes, comes around!

Wang Xueyao looked at Ren Ying and smiled. "You think you are the only one manipulating everyone behind the scenes? The hero saving the beauty was staged well, but I took control over Moonlight faction long before that!"

"So, from the very beginning, she has been toying with you, under my order."

Ren Ying was still looking at her. "But, I genuinely liked you."

Tang Liuyue said with disdain. "Do you think your liking is worth it? Don't make me laugh."

Huang Ling and Li Yuxong, who were hiding behind were shocked. Li Yuxong's face turned serious. He murmured. "I always thought she was dangerous, but the fact that she toyed around with this fox still makes me feel...." 

Huang Ling looked at Li Yuxong and didn't speak.

Ren Ying looked at Wang Xueyao and said. "What do you want from me?"

Wang Xueyao looked at Ren Ying like a clown. "Don't overestimate yourself. Do you think I can't see through your disguise, my dear husband?"

Ren Ying looked at her and didn't speak. 

Wang Xueyao continued. "I am only keeping you alive just because of my curiosity, how did you manage to manipulate Shadow Phoenix faction? I do realised how you manipulated Spirit Dragon faction. And that Wu Tianlei was just a battle maniac, even a kid can fool him, and you even took one of it's main spy's identity. It's highly likely that the spy was already killed before you took it's identity. But, what I am most curious about is how did you manipulate Shadow Phoenix faction? And how did you manipulate Li Yuxong and Huang Ling to meet?"

Ren Ying looked at her and smiled. 

"Even someone like you couldn't figure it out, I am honored to explain to you."

Wang Xueyao looked at him and said, defending her pride. "Deceiving someone is too easy, as compared to finding out other's deception. There is a gap of clues. Those who deceive always have more information in their hand, and so deceiving others is too easy. There is no clue, so it is not possible for me to see through how you achieved this."

Ren Ying nodded. He immediately put away all his disguise and reverted back to his previous self.

Looking at Li Gang, Li Yuxong's face changed. He was about to shout, but Huang Ling suppressed him forcefully.

But, it still got Wang Xueyao's attention. She shouted. "Who's there?"

Huang Ling frowned and knowing there is no point in hiding, she came out with Li Yuxong. "It's us, we were following Ren Ying, but didn't expect this!"

Wang Xueyao's face turned serious finally. 'Does she want to save him? She is strong, that is for sure, I may not be able to win her especially in current situation.'

She asked. "Do you want to save him?"

Huang Ling smiled. "No-no, don't get me wrong, I am just here to see his death. He has forced me to work with him. He even poisoned Yuxong, why would I save him."

Li Yuxong face turned ugly. But anyways, he was his blood brother, how can he see him getting killed. But, before he could speak, he was suppressed by Huang Ling.

Wang Xueyao's eyes narrowed. "Oh, I thought you allied with him because you were together with Li Yuxong and he was acting as his friend. Interesting, so you finally left your innocent self back? You even went as far as poisoning your own brother just to get a powerful ally for the inheritance!"

Li Yuxong felt betrayed but all he could do was stay silent and watch it.

Li Gang laughed. "I learnt my lesson in last 8 years."

His face turned serious. He can only buy time now. And he knows if he doesn't explain, her curiosity might die. Anyways, she is only little bit interested.

He said. "It started 3 years ago."

3 years ago, somewhere in the Small World

Li Gang came to a bank of the river and saw many traces. Li Gang speculated immediately: 'There may be people here.' He didn't bother to remove his traces anymore. There are already so many traces here, there is no reason to hide trace now.

He set off deep into the forest, and soon he found many people. Looking at the crest of many people gathered here, Li Gang immediately thought of Huang Weimin.

'This is likely to be the camp of Shadow Phoenix Sect. I didn't expect to enter their territory here.'

As Li Gang was pondering, a person suddenly came in front of him and ordered.

"Come with us, our young master called you."

Li Gang looked deeply at the new comer. He is a young man, and with his looks, he should be in his 20s, but it is difficult to judge a person's age just based on his face, especially in this world. A young man like him may be in his 40s, or even 50s.

Li Gang didn't bother to argue and nodded, while thinking. 'How did they know about me so fast? Have they been tracking for a long time?'

Li Gang felt chill down his spine as he thought of this.

Soon, they reached their destination.

Huang Xiujuan looked at him and motioned him to enter into the cave, which seems to be artificially carved out.

Li Gang nodded and entered.

As he went into the depth of the Cave, he found a young man lying there, sleeping over a chaise lounge, and a young woman giving him a shoulder massage.

Huang Yulan at this moment opened her lips and said softly. "He has arrived young master."

Huang Weimin opened his eyes and nodded. He didn't even bother to look at Li Gang, and directly asked.

"What do you know about Wang Xueyao?"

Li Gang looked at Huang Weimin's behaviour, and immediately felt anger rising in his chest. 'Why I am getting angry? No, it is not like me. This must be due to the hormones which appears at this age. I should calm down and think before speaking.'

Huang Weimin frowned. "I asked you something, why don't you speak? Are you mute?"

Li Gang was still trying to suppress his anger, and didn't respond at all. At that moment, Huang Weimin flicked his finger and a small fire immediately shot at Li Gang. Li Gang immediately used Wind Rider Sprint and dodged subconsciously. He has already become familiar with his secret techniques that he can cast them subconsciously.

Huang Weimin was surprised to find him dodging his attack. He said: "I see that you reached rank 2 Warrior. Is that what gives you the confidence?"

Li Gang mocked him. "Do you think you are superior here? A person like you can't give slightest fear into me. It seems even though Shadow Phoenix Sect is known for their Assassins, their young master still lack in killing intent."

Huang Weimin didn't get angry at his comment, but felt curious. "Do you think I can't kill you, what confidence do you have that you dare to stand here?"

Li Gang smiled at him, and immediately showed his back to him as he looked through the window.

"Wang Xueyao" Li Gang said calmly.

Huang Weimin frowned. "Do you want to die?" Li Gang's body posture was like he was a superior to Huang Weimin. This is undoubtedly provoking him.

Li Gang was still calm and said. "If you don't want your Shadow Phoenix Sect to be eradicated, you can try."

Huang Weimin looked at him with disdain and anger. "You think too highly of yourself." He immediately stood up, and just as he was about to make a move, he heard.

"You better hide your pitifully low killing intent. It is not even 1% as strong as Wang Xueyao's." Li Gang calmly retracted his gaze and started staring at Huang Weimin without any fear.

At the same time, he was thinking. 'He is hesitating, my bluff has worked. But, even though he is hesitating, if I don't give him incentive, he would still make move. I would be finished by then.'

"I was sent here by Wang Xueyao. Before we make transaction, let me tell you something. She is already a rank 6 Warrior. I believe you have already tried checking her cultivation, and didn't succeed when we were entering the portal."

Huang Weimin's expression turned heavy. 'Yes, everyone tried, but they only noticed one without cultivation and other was a rank 1 late stage Warrior. But, how can someone without cultivation enter this place?'

Although Huang Weimin believed it somewhat. He was still suspicious.
