In a single meeting room, sit three people with a serious expression on their face. they were siting in a position of surrounding a round table, making whoever that saw them would think they were discussing something dangerous together. Making other want to stay away from them.

The three of them was discussing about something, where the other two people seems to try to cornered the other one. However, the secretary of that person seems unconcerned about her boss that was cornered and emit a strange, yet calm smile around her face. Her boss too have a serious and calm expression around his face, but the other two can felt that he seems bored and not taking this seriously, which irked them much more.

That place was strangely dark, with the only source of light from the lamp that emit a dim light at the center of their table. You can't saw the corner of the room because how dark it is, but the each of the three representative could feel there's a pair of eyes that watching them. which the cornered one ignored it completely.

The cornered person was the representative of White Fang, a group of mercenaries that have a lot of connection with mafias and assassins in the world. This is the group of mercenaries that Ace works with, White Fang of the Zoldyck Families.

the other person was a representative from AST or The Anti-Spirit Team, which is a branch, or rather, a special secret unit from Japan Ground Self-Defence Force (JGSDF) with the objective to suppress and eliminate the Spirits by means of killing them.

The last person was a representative from Ratatoskr, an organization created for the purpose of saving Spirits through peaceful means without killing the Spirits.

The three of them sit in this meeting room to talk about a girl who both AST and Ratatoskr sides suspected was a spirit. Yes, the girl that they were talking about was Kuromi.

Kuromi's identity was quite special, which bring a headache toward the AST and Ratatoskr sides.

One of the chosen children,

An adopted sister of Ace, the fearsome and ace member of White Fang,

And an adopted daughter of the owner and founder of White Fang.

This three identities of hers was connected strongly with James Zoldyck, the demon from the underworld, and the father of a few mafia bosses and top assassins in the world of hitmen. A really dangerous and unshakable person.

Both sides from AST and Ratatoskr honestly doesn't dare to disturb this kind of person, but they have a goal toward every spirits that descend on earth, that's why they can only grit their teeth and forcefully increase their gut to asked about this girl. They won't back up till they can ensure her identity as a spirit or not.

Gerald, the representative of White Fang, was tapping his finger in boredom. Honestly, this kind of meeting has occurred a few times in the past, and he always manage to drive them away perfectly. However, this time the two of them was quite persistent, making him irritated a bit. He sighed at himself and said goodbye at the date tonight. Look like he would visit a few sisters in his usual place today.

Gerald opened his mouth and break the silence that bored him, "I said this again and again, but that girl was a pearl in the eyes of our leader. I don't have any agreement nor permission from our leader to give her toward one of you so it's pointless to talk about this" said Gerald bluntly. He trow away his politeness and just talk to them casually.

"We know. And we usually back out for this. However, this time we want your side explanation to us. Why, a girl that was estimated as a spirit, suddenly go to Japan and transferred as a student in one of our high school?" Ratatoskr representative asked.

Gerald shook his head helplessly, "You read the report right? She was seeking an experience about how a normal high school girl should be. As the one who responsible to makes her body become like that, we decided to comply her request and send her to Japan as a reward for her services so far."

"that is the weirdest part of it, Sir Gerald. Why, after all this time, did she suddenly ask something like that? why for the last decade she didn't asked this kind of request? can you explain it to me, Sir Gerald?" said the AST representative.

"Like I said, it's because she yearn for it. The last time she ignored her yearning because her brother has been send here and there for a job, and she herself has been send to helped too. this time, she can request this because her brother finally finish his job and gotten a rest permission from our leader, making her a chance to fulfill her dream to experience high school while having her brother accompany her together"

That statement successfully silenced the two representative. Based on their report, Ace indeed have been working without rest for two decades full together with Kuromi. They had heard about his last accomplishment which for them was enough to make him want to take a rest. But they just felt there something amiss, which is the reason of their persistence. Their gut telling them there's some secret that they don't know, and they have to make sure to know at least a spec of that information.

Gerald sighed tiredly as he watching them being silent, "the fact that makes both of your sides to be this persistence just because she arrived in Japan makes me quite suspicious. What did you hide in there enough to make you flustered just by a presence of her there? Why when Kuromi still in America, you just asked a few times then let it go easily? Are your sides have been hiding something to us?" He asked seriously while narrowing his eyes. As the member of White Fang, he still have a few share of kills which is why this side of him bring a pressure at the two of them.

Both the AST and Ratatoskr sides suddenly turn silent. Their behavior was enough as an answer for Gerald. Even though he already know their reason since a long time.

Gerald sighed again before standing up from his chair and walk his way toward the exit door. He just received an order from James that he already finish his side. He doesn't dare to continue this meeting and quickly go out to meet his boss. Gerald smiled slightly. At least he will get the bonus from here. He was quite excited to meet his boss and receive his prize.

Ace was standing in front of his boss with a deadpan expression. James right now was being hugged, again, by Kuromi for successfully drives the insect away from her.

Ace who saw this felt quite bitter seeing his sister act spoiled at the old man while saying "thank you, father!" again and again with a sweet voice filled with gratitude. Ace stared at the old man who have this smug expression on his face, while acted like a foolish parent in front of Kuromi.

Ace decided to asking a help from James's wife in the kitchen. He hold her arm and hug it while giving her a puppy eyes, "mother, help me~ father is bullying me again~"

James's wife felt her eyes was shoot by an arrow when she saw this young man who she considers as her son acting cute in front of her. She coaxing him and telling him that she will bring a justice to him, then rolled up her sleeves to beat up her husband who dared to bully her son.

With a big stomping sound, James's wife walking to the living room and saw her husband that has been playing with Kuromi's cheek with a doting expression. She went mad and yelled with a loud voice, "JAMES ZOLDYCK, HOW DARE YOU BULLY BOTH MY DAUGHTER AND SON!"

James turn scared hearing that and quickly stop his hand. He placed his hands at his lap and sit upright like an obedient child while staring at his wife that come to him with a nervous expression.

When his wife finally standing on front of him, he stared at her with a puppy eyes and quickly said, "You've got it wrong, honey. I'm just pampering Kuromi and that shi-- Ace got jealous at me. you need to believe me, dearest wife QAQ"

His wife raised her eyebrow and turn her head to stare at Ace who have a blamed expression on his face then turn her head at her husband with a murderous expression and began beating him up with all her might.

Ace enjoyed James's cry of plead and stared at his miserable appearance with a face full of joy.

Kuromi was standing beside Ace while giggling slightly with a hand covered her mouth. Her eyes turn curved while she have this happy smile on her face when she saw their antic.

Kuromi was quite grateful right now, because when she saw how her other self turned into a killer in a different timeline, she felt her life was quite miserable. Living her life as a vengeful spirit, and constantly kill her emotion so that it can't hinder her in her plan.

Kuromi stared at Ace beside her with a loving smile. She was glad that she accept his hand at that time or else she won't be here together with her family like this. She come near Ace's ear and whispered, "Let's sleep in my room tonight, brother"

Ace who hear a soft and tender voice whispering that near his ear stood frozen. He quickly snap out from it and nodded his head. his eyes darkened and Kuromi can felt a burning gaze that staring at her like a beast staring at it's prey. She smiled slightly to him and he nodded again before retracting his gaze and turn to watch James again.

James's wife was finally satisfied and stop herself, while helping her husband to sit on the sofa. Her entire demeanor quickly changed from demon to angel and began serve her husband like a loving smile. James just smile awkwardly at Kuromi. He cursed Ace silently in his heart while vowed to have his revenge to him.

Ace and Kuromi sit facing them and drink a tea with an elegant demeanor. The four member of Zoldyck Family sit in silence and relaxed themself in this comfortable atmosphere.

after awhile, James finally put his tea and indicated Ace to follow him. Ace nodded and follow him silently, leaving the two smiling woman behind.

He arrived in the study room and closed the door quickly before sit on the chair that facing James's. James light his cigarette and offering one to Ace, which the latter gladly accept. Both of them silently smoking there, filling the room with their smoke.

James retracted his cigarette and said "Japan side will watched your movement from now on. I hope you guys can watch your ways and stay low for a while"

Ace nodded his head in agreement. That was their plan from the start.

James stared solemnly at Ace for a moment and said "I don't know nor want to know your reason to go to Japan with the trouble that keep happening in there. Just make sure that you won't do something stupid that will lose that life of yours that I saved with great effort. Remember, the two of you was my, this great James Zoldyck, son and daughter. Our entire family will support both of you with your decision completely"

Ace stared at James with gratitude and nodded again. after that they turn silent again and played a chess game that James grab from out of nowhere. Both father and son put their concentration to the limit to beat the others.

In the living room, Kuromi was having a lap pillow with her step mother. Both mother and daughter was harmonious. They have a pleasant talk about each of their partners antic with great interest and keep talking for awhile.

James's wife stared at this step daughter of hers that was obedient and cute and thought about her other children that acted like a monkey and follow her husband in the underworld that always bring headache to her. She sighed silently and was quite glad that to have Kuromi who always put her heart at ease.

She stroke Kuromi's hair lovingly and continue to listen Kuromi about Ace behavior in their home. She laughed and sometimes smile wryly hearing about Ace antic in there while asking a few question to Kuromi about their life.

when Ace arrived in Kuromi's room, he found her sister in her black nightgown in smile and locked the door silently.
