CHAPTER 3

"Elix?..."

She was so sure to say the right name, it's Elix! One of her online friends and fling? quite complicated. Yet this handsome German guy is unknowingly inside her room?

Elix didn't think twice but grabbed the robe he happened to notice near where he is standing. He walked closer to Lorian and helped her cover her naked body as her dress was already on the floor with her feet.

"Thank you..." she managed to thank him although she feels awkward and still confused about how he is here inside her room now.

Elix faced her with his handsome smile, he's quite taller than her and he has a clean styled beard that makes him so handsome and his perfume is very welcoming "...Yes Elix, Elix Rösch your future investor and business partner finally standing in front of you..." and flashes his handsome smile again omg!

At first Lorian is confused but now she's worried how she would explain to him that she lost her company? She looked away and sat on her bed thinking how she would explain her downfall while Elix walked close to his baggage placed near the bed side table "...I planned to stay here for a week to be with you and see your company"

Lorian didn't seem aware of him still there with her and talking to her while all she's aware of is that she doesn't know how to explain everything to him until "...baby!" Elix said while he's already sitting beside her.

Lorian hated being called 'baby' and this woke her up, also gave her confidence to tell him that "I lost everything Elix!" while her hands are on both of his shoulders already while his hands are fast enough supporting her thru her waist.

But later Lorian just stood up ahead since the situation became even more awkward...while Elix was shocked tho was about to say something when her phone suddenly ring...

"I-I'll just take this..."

She went out with her phone while Elix was left alone in the room and all he can do is realize what just happened and moreover what she said.

UNKNOWN # CALLING...

She went at the veranda, placed her phone on the table and stared at it, she's now half occupied by this caller especially that this number is the unknown # that always sends her message every single night, now calling?

She's obviously not going to take the call because she's also half occupied with what she said with Elix and this sudden call from a stranger, she stared at her phone while it never stopped ringing until she fell asleep already.

The next morning...

Woke up only wearing a robe and a blanket covering her naked body, Lorian woke up lying on her bed already. She held her head and remembered she never came back inside the room as she just stared overnight on her phone ringing with a call from a stranger.

In the middle of trying to remember how she end up on her bed the door suddenly open and there is Elix "...you're finally awake" he said and completely come inside "... I'm sorry for your loss I understand you, but I'm here now, and I need a place to stay with before my return flight in Germany, I will help you with expenses"

That sounds ideal and at the same time is way better than hearing how disappointed he is to come over with a failed business woman like her so she just smiled and agreed "...sure, you can have my room and welcome to the Philippines Elix..."

ERMALBE COMPANY

"Margarita please tell me what's her number and I'll always buy you lunch!" this guy-one of her workmates is asking for her batchmate's number again, well it's been since when Lorian delivered the food herself they ordered in the office.

Margarita didn't listen to him and most of all didn't give him her number and just walked faster going to her office while her phone started ringing again...

She didn't bother to accept the call right ahead, she made sure she was inside her office already before she accepted the call and said "...what you've been asking for is impossible these gifts are too much already?" she said.

She was all tensed already taking this call while her door suddenly opened and it's her secretary who's commenting again saying "...is that your boyfriend boss? did he give you roses again?" she's obviously nosy while looking at the roses placed on her table.

Margarita hung up the call immediately and faced her secretary "...y-yes of course"

The secretary didn't get enough but also opened the red envelope along with the bouquet of roses "omg! this is a lot of money! you really got the art industry tycoon boss!" she complimented while looking at the red envelope full of thousands.

Margarita just smiled big enough and confirmed to her secretary how Lucky she is in this life...

"Happy birthday Lorian..."

Elix greeted while giving her a box of chocolate which Lorian took happily after closing the door of the room where she's gonna sleep for the next days "Danke schön Elix you're the first one who gift me something..." she thanked and walked towards the kitchen.

"So what do you want for lunch?" she asked while checking what's inside her fridge.

It took her an hour to fix the room where will she sleep while Elix also took an hour to fix his stuff at the unoccupied closet of her room so they both just got time now to eat lunch yet Lorian wasn't able to cook.

"...pizza would be fine" Elix answered "... actually how about let's just go out and it's my treat let's celebrate your birthday!" he said happily which kind of surprising because Lorian didn't expect him to be this kind of person.

They just know each other thru dating app and IG, they barely talk about ther personal lives, had many advice talks and ahm fling part aside. They don't really know each other personally.

"Sure, that sounds perfect let's go?" she agreed and walked past him already towards the door.

Elix seems to be gentleman as he open the door of pizza hut restaurant for her and he also took her order and learned to order for both of them talking in Tagalog at the counter.

Elix happened to be a shy funny guy that made her enjoy a table full of pizza and more with him. They talked a lot and laughed too "hahaha that was so funny don't even try meeting someone like that again at dating apps, look let me recommend you this dating app I'm using..." she said while showing him the dating app on her phone.

"That looks cool and clever at the same time because they pays you hmm...oh and who's this Massimo?"

Elix held her hand while giving her phone back that sent Lorian an electricity which made her worry overthinking he might have been making intimate movements with her already, luckily she got a story to tell to let him down "ahh Massimo? he's my man and I'm thinking about saying yes to date him as it may be the right time for me to love again..." she said smiling wide while opening the conversation box with Massimo, next clicked the audio sent to her saying...

"Laura today's my wife's birthday..."
