The good girl

" So what do you have to say about a perfect alibi?" Zou Zeming asked as looked at the petite girl who had followed him out of the business department building since he asked her to see him off. Under the soft sunlight, Xua Ying Yue's skin rippled like it was shimmering with a light of its own as she raised her head and looked at him with a subtle look in her eyes as she replied, " I think it's quite important."

This was why she was going to keep track of such things from now on because this was her first time dealing with someone, she made some rookie mistakes but with this lesson, she had learned something new which might prove much beneficial to her in the future.

She lowered her eyelids which caused her long eyelashes to flutter against her cheeks as she rubbed the seams of her sleeves and added, " I will make sure to keep that in mind from now on."

" If you don't mind then you can use me as your alibi," Zou Zeming suddenly spoke up which caused him and Xua Ying Yue to be startled as the latter raised her head and looked at Zou Zeming with a frown and cleared his throat and then coughed lightly before saying, " I mean to say that if you need my help then I am willing to do so."

Xua Ying Yue raised her head and looked at the man in front of her quietly, her gaze was assessing but not suspicious as it was the last time which caused Zou Zeming to heave a sigh of relief inwardly.

" You are going to be a lawyer, comrade Zou. It's better if you don't mingle with people like me who need a fake alibi, you will be going against your profession and oath," Xua Ying Yue remarked in a quiet voice before turning around and heading to her class.

Zou Zeming stood behind her as he watched the young woman go back to her classroom before a smile bloomed on his face as he muttered, " Heartless."

As soon as Xua Ying Yue returned to the class, she could see Professor Yu reprimanding Qi Qing and Fan Jiayi for blowing up a matter which was supposed to be handed to the police and causing strife between classmates.

" You all will be studying in this class for the next few years, I hope that you will pay attention to your actions and won't create trouble for no reason. As adults your actions might lead to some grave consequences so please be kind and think twice before doing anything, do you understand?"

Though Professor Yu did not say anything everyone knew that she was addressing the matter that just took place. In the front seat Qi Qing who had her head lowered was clenching her hands in her lap and was furious——- obviously what she said was the truth but somehow no one believed her.

She felt just as angry as she felt satisfied after throwing Xua Ying Yue's bag in the dirty water bucket. Back then Qi Qing thought that Xua Ying Yue would have to suffer in silence but who would have thought that two days later she will be suppressing her anger and suffering in silence?

At this moment she hated no one more than Xua Ying Yue even more than Jia Lu Li.

After professor, Yu was doe reprimanded the class she turned her attention back to the blackboard where she started teaching the principles of business to the student but at this moment other than Xua Ying Yue who was listening to her quietly no one else was in the mood to pay attention to what professor Yu was saying, they all continued to glance at Xua Ying Yue who was sitting at the back and pursed their lips before turning their attention to look at Qi Qing.

Even though they were not clear on the matter, some of them were quick to catch up with the meaning of Professor Yu. It was clear that she was angry with Qi Qing falsely accusing Xua Ying Yue. Now because of this matter, the class was divided into two halves, one half supported Xua Ying Yue while the remaining were still standing firmly on Qi Qing's side.

One of these supporters was none other than Mo Han who was looking at Xua Ying Yue with the same intensity as Qi Qing was glaring at her. Their glares were so intense that even if Xua Ying Yue wanted to turn a blind eye to them, she could do it which was why she turned to look at Mo Han who was sitting on her side and spoke in a low voice, " Do you want me to stab you in the eye or something? Why are you staring at me blankly?"

As she spoke she twirled the pen in her hands causing Mo Han to stiffen as he turned to face Professor Yu and then raised his hand before shouting, " Professor Yu, Comrade Xua is threatening me."

Professor Yu who was noting down an example turned to look at Mo Han and then turned to look at Xua Ying Yue who raised her notebook which was sitting in front of her and said, " I do not have the time to do something like that Professor Yu."

As Xua Ying Yue raised her notebook, one could see her clear handwriting in the examples which she had written on the side with detailed explanations. Even if Professor Yu could not see what was written on Xua Ying Yue's pages clearly she still caught some words which was enough to tell her that Xua Ying Yue was indeed paying attention to her lecture.

She turned to look at Mo Han and asked, " Where are your notes, Student Mo?"

Mo Han panicked as he looked down at the clean pages in front of him and then said, " No professor, what I—-"

"Enough!" Professor Yu banged her hand on the podium as she looked at Mo Han who was still quibbling and then scolded him in a heavy voice, " You are in college, Student Mo. Is this how you are supposed to act?"
