A few days later, I finally give the Order. The Order to conquer the whole Continent. But there is one Problem...
"NO! NO! YOU CAN'T GO! PLEASE... don't... don't go..." Victoria begs me, she is crying.
Crap. I should've thought that this will happen. She probably doesn't want me to strengthen my Power, to improve myself.
I shake my Head. "I'm sorry, but I must. I really must go."
"But..." She is shaking. Victoria looks really terrible, like a corpse even. She looks pale and has bags in her eyes. She seems to have gotten almost no sleep.
Is she really just playing pretend?
I sigh. "I must go. The People need my guidance. And how am I supposed to get stronger when I don't fight."
"But I don't want to lose you!" She tugs on my skirt.
"No. I really must go. But... if you want..." I hesitate, is that really such a good Idea? "...If you want you can come with me."
She looks up happily. "Really? I can?"
"Yes, you can." I smile and pat her head.
"Thank you." She wipes her tears on my skirt, like a child.
She suddenly springs up. "Oh, sorry! I don't want to ruin your beautiful Armor." She chuckles nervously.
Yeah, now that I think of it, I only commissioned it a few days ago and now it is here. I am wearing it. The Armor I will use for the fight to come. And probably for future fights and other endeavors too.
It looks like a Military Uniform, something worn from Generals of the British or German Empire. It is woven out of red silk and has golden buttons. I wear black stockings and on top of it is a black skirt. My shoes are brown leather boots. It actually looks better than I thought. But... I can't fight any close combat with this kind of Armor. Well... luckily I only use Magic!
I chuckle. "Thank you, Victoria. But you don't need to worry. Everything will be fine."
She nods slowly. "Okay, if you say so."
A few Hours later we are on the way towards the First Tribe of many. It is already Night, as we go by Foot. Not everyone can use strong Magic, more than half are actually Swordsmen.
My Army decided to scout the Area for any People who might want to harm us.
Luckily, even after many hours, we still haven't encountered any danger, thus we all decided to sleep.
We set up camp and eat at a campfire and cook our food on it. It tastes really delicious, as it was hunted freshly.
We then all go to sleep in the Tents, I sleep in an Extra Tent specifically made for the Empress.
In the early morning, just as the Sun rises, I wake up to some weird noises coming from outside. I dress myself and walk outside. I see People fighting. Some are my own Soldiers, but some are appearing to be Tribespeople.
I run out and go in between them, using a Magic Shield on both sides, to stop them.
"What are you doing?!? I haven't given the Command for you to attack any Tribespeople!" I yell at the Soldier.
"But, I was just protecting you, your Majesty. He is an Intruder." He nervously talks back to me.
I give him a cold stare and just glare at him. "You dare talk back to me?" I turn around to look at the Tribesperson. "So, tell me, who are you? Are you really and Intruder? Or are you an Envoy?"
He looks at me confused. He seem to be expecting me to fight, but obviously I don't.
"Hello" I wave. "Do you understand me? Do you know our Language?" He doesn't seem to understand.
I yell and wake up the entire Camp. "EVERYONE! WAKE UP IMMEDIATELY!"
It takes a few Minutes before everyone is up. I look at the Squadron formed before me.
"Does someone know the Language of Tribes?" I say, not knowing how their Language is called.
But no one seems to know the Language. I sigh, not knowing what to do.
I look back at this Tribesman. He is rather small, not larger than 1,50m. He has Red Hair and a Bushy Beard. His Eyebrows are thick and his Hair is long and messy. His skin is a bit darker and not as bright and white as ours. He has green eyes. His clothing is rather simple, as he only wears a few pieces of cloth to cover the most important parts. As his weapon he uses a Magically enhanced Stone Sword.
Although he looks kind of intimidating, he doesn't give off any aggressive vibes. He seems to be rather scared, actually.
I try signing to him, although he barely understands what I mean, he still tries to understand.
After a while he makes a gesture for us to follow him.
After breaking up the Camp, we follow him and shortly after, we arrive at their Base.
Or rather said, their Village.
Everyone looks at us, most in fear, but some in aspiration.
I, alone, go into the Chiefs Hut. The chief is really old but is also the only tall one in this Village. He has the same demeanor as the Tribesman from before, only his Hair is gray.
He suddenly talks. "What do you seek in our Village?"
His style of speaking has a strong accent, as if he hasn't used it for hundreds of years.
"I am the new Empress of the Kingdom of Astora. And I am here to finally unite this Continent under one banner." I speak in a stern but calm tone.
The Chief glares at me, but he doesn't seem hostile.
"And why do you think I would just accept that? I would lose my Autonomy." He speaks to me, almost sounding aggressive.
"Well, to be quite honest, I thought that it is best if you keep your Autonomy, as long as you lived." I say to him.
He looks at me, surprised that I know his secret. "It seems like I can't keep anything secret from the Empress." He chuckles. "Fine, you can take our Land. That way I won't die. But I can tell you now, not everyone will be as easily persuaded as me." He smirks and then shakes my Hand.
But yes, he's right. His secret was rather easy to discover. He is a Chief of this Village, meaning he will age and die eventually. So if he wants to live forever, he can't stay autonomous. So I could easily persuade him. But what about those people who want to die someday? Or the ones who just don't want to sell out their own People.
I know it will be hard, but I want to try and shed as little Blood as possible.
And for that, I need to develop a new Technology.
