Chapter -16

As the fest was in full swing, there were many diplomatic meetings going on in the imperial palace. One of the key reasons for the fest was to strengthen the bond with the other realms and form new alliances with the other countries. Counties would talk about how much they have developed and what new technology they found and make trade plans. So the emperor and empress were busy talking to other envoys to strengthen the human realm and be able to face any threats from the vampire kingdom. The first day of the fest went by in these important meetings for the empress and the emperor whereas people from all over the place were enjoying the fest. There were new couples. All the young people were roaming around looking for compatible partners for marriage. It was like love was in the air. There were a lot of love at first sight incidents happening.

As Sebastian fifth Garland, his wife Emily, Raven and Elliott were roaming around the capital, Emily fell in a daze as she went down the memory lane. When she saw a cherry blossom tree, she looked at Sebastian with affection. This tree was the place where she first saw Sebastian, he was leaning against the tree and playing a melodious tune on flute. He looked very charming at that moment. He was full of youth and vigor. He was wearing a black tuxedo with white shirt. His hair was shiny. His eyes were closed as he was lost in playing the flute that he did not even notice Emily approaching him. He was tall. He had biceps, his hands looked really strong. He had really long legs. His boots were of brown leather. He was giving the vibe of a classic hero. He had great features. There was not even an ounce of fat on his stomach. As she saw him, she thought that he must exercise daily to maintain that killer figure.

Emily clearly remembered what she wore that day too. As it was a day for the start of an unforgettable love and hate relationship. She thanked that day many times and she cursed that day many times as well for meeting him. Even now she could not bring herself to hate him wholeheartedly. She still loved him. At times she questioned if her feelings were true or was she feeling that way because of the hormones. She contemplated this topic from time to time. She stopped walking forward. She just froze at her place, looking at the cherry blossom tree with a sharp gaze. At this point Raven and Elliott had walked forward to a distance.

Sebastian Fifth Garland noticed her slow walking speed and turned to see her standing there. Sebastian noticed her gaze and looked in the direction of her sight. As he spotted the cherry blossom tree a smile appeared on his face. He knew instantly what she was thinking. He went there and hugged her. Feeling the sudden embrace Emily came out of her trance.

Are you trying to relive the first time we met each other? Sebastian whispered in Emily's ear.

Emily's ears instantly turn red. She was embarrassed, but before she could respond a kiss landed on her cheeks.

She was surprised by the sudden kiss and looked at Sebastian intensely.

We are at the fest so i think we should enjoy ourselves and let loose. Said Sebastian affectionately.

It was rare for Sebastian to be gentle and romantic so Emily was surprised and excited at the same time. After all, no matter how much she hated him, her love for him always triumphed.

Noticing that Sebastian and Emily were both missing, Raven was turning back when Sebastian's snake distracted him by engaging in the conversation about what they could play and eat at the fest and what will happen at the golden ball. But Elliott was not tricked by the witty snake and he saw Sebastian and Emily hugging each other in the middle of the road. But it was none of his business so he turned his face and urged Raven to move forward and go to a food stall nearby.

They ordered kimchi as Elliott wanted to eat that. After that they ordered mutton balls. On the other hand, the snake sent a telepathic message to Sebastian to hurry up and come with Emily as Raven was now getting impatient and will start looking for Emily and might bump into you two. It will be very embarrassing for Emily. Sebastian did not want to break the atmosphere which was around them so soon, he was reluctant but the crow was nagging in his head the whole time. He got irritated and swore that he was going to punish the crow as soon as he reached there. Knowing what was going to happen to him, the crow got frightened and sat on Raven's shoulders. Soon Emily and Sebastian entered the restaurant.

Due to what happened last night at the fest, Knife ordered Sebastian to follow Raven everywhere and keep an eye on all his moves. Last night was a full moon night and as Emily was a werewolf she was in the woods howling and that is where she bumped into her long lost husband. Sebastian was searching for Raven then. It had been five years since he last met his wife and he received a good beating last night. So he was sticking to his wife all the time now while working on keeping an eye on Raven. So he was working and romancing at the same time. His wife is a strict person so he is busy pleasing his wife right now. He had already enjoyed his voyage for five years so it was time for him to go back to his wife and pamper him and make her forgive him and love him back. His wife is pretty angry at him and even started plans of capturing him and then impression him and torture him to make her anger calm down. But before she could capture him, they met again in the fest again just like how they met the first time and this made both of them nostalgic.
