"Aren't you fond of being blunt? Why are you furious when I am just behaving like you?" Giavanna countered, her head and chin held high as she approached Tristan's bedside.
With his sick brother around Dominic couldn't touch a hair on Giavanna's body even if he wanted to.
"Tristan, I am sure you know how dangerous it's to drive when it's pouring this hard…" Giavanna purposely pushed to get Tristan's attention.
"To avoid getting into an accident, why don't I spend the night here?" Giavanna blurted shamelessly.
"What!" Both brothers shouted with widened eyes.
"That was a joke right?" Dominic added, his voice colder than usual.
The temperature in the room dropped drastically as soon as Dominic turned and peered at Giavanna's face.
