Chapter 17: The counterattack

Land of Sky

It had been about three months since the remaining Uzumaki clan had established residence in the forest of the land of the sky. 

It took them about four months to reach the Land of the Sky due to all the detours and stopovers they did. 

They first went to the land of Tea, then to Jiro island before moving to the land of Moon, then to the Coral islands before finally reaching the Sky country. 

The ninjas of the clans had cleansed part of the trees and bandits to make room for their clansmen and were using some form of scealing technic to hide their presence, it was another training for Akashi and the other aspirant ninjas under the supervision of the adults.

They were not too far from the road allowing the civilians to move more easily toward the city. 

In fact, if a deep investigation was made by the ninja of the land they might notice the presence of about four thousand Uzumaki hidden in their land.

Fortunately, most of the ninja were too focused on the war outside to even think the powerful Uzumaki clans was hidden so close to them.

Akashi was training in the dojo under the supervision of another of the masters of the clan.

Using disguise and by sealing the abilities of most ninjas and leaving only a few of them free, Kana and about five hundred Uzumaki ninjas were able to pass as wealthy merchants fleeing the war. 

Of course, a great deal of bribery, flattery, and machination were used.

In another room of the massive estate Kana Uzumaki was once again reviewing the news from the war with a few trusted advisors, Kuroko Uzumaki, Rina Uzumaki the teacher of sealing jutsu, and Urio Uzumaki and old stratege of the clan.

Today Ashina wasn't here, he had decided to return to the forest to assure the safety of the others who stayed back.

"So they are starting to lose ground already, not even one year has passed since the beginning of the hostility and the land of sky is already on the losing side," said Kana looking at the report in front of her 

"They are paying the price of their arrogance," Kuroko said

A few others started to agree gleefully anticipating the fall of the sky ninja when Kana intervene 

"Do not underestimate them, the ninjas of the land of sky are as skilled as the ninjas of any great nation and have as many ninjas as them," she said seriously

"I predict that they will fall very soon, we need to be prepared," said Urio

"So is there any news of the tail beasts," 

"No, still nothing in fact from what I know they are incapable of completely investing in the war because of that, after all they don't want their precious weapon to fall into the hands of other powers," Said Kuroko

"This is surprising that until now no one was able to detect them, how difficult is it to find four massive chacha monsters in the world" replied Kana

"You would be surprised... finding the tails beast has never been easy, those beast have been in this world for far longer than any of us, they know how to hide themself," Urio replied 

"Last time the first Hokage had to ask your grandfather for help deploy the Uzumaki to locate them, we have a natural affinity with them, who knows why, anyway what I want to say is that it won't be easy to find them let alone recapture them, howearther weaken they may be!" said Rina to KAna who absorbed what was told to her patiently.

"I wonder if they are striking together this time if they did I don't think that there is anyone alive who would be able to recapture them, but I doubt it would happen the tails beasts are solitary creatures after all," said Kuroko calmly to what everyone had to agree with his analyzed 

"Anyway..." Looking at her with a somewhat sad expression the old Rina asked 

"So have you made your choice?!" 

At that question, all the others old looked at her with a guilty expression, to what she just scoff 

"Don't look at me like that, I'm not going to die, this is the normal outcome for me right," she responded 

"Last time something like that was brought up, you ran away from home," Kuroko said reminiscing about the past 

"And came back pregnant!" added Urio with a smile 

"Yes, but this time this is my decision, my idea, my plan and I will see it done," she said resolutely

A few weeks later 

Konoha 

Once again Konoha was under alert.

It was the second time since the beginning of the war that this alert resounded. 

For the second time in less than a year, Konoha the most powerful village ninja was under threat, something that until now was nearly impossible had been accomplished by Skypiea the village ninja of the sky country. 

But this time they had made a mistake, because this time before the thousand of ninjas of Sky reached Konoha they were greeted by the full force of Konoha 

Standing on the roof of his office the Hokage Hiruzen Sarutoby was overlooking the operation in front of him

The sky of Konoha consists of hundreds of flying summons, or long-distance types, insects.

The sky was quickly filled with fire due to the combination of attacks of the Uchiha, Sarutoby, and others. on the different side, you could see ninjas launching wind-style techniques and other techniques,

All around him Hiruzen and his trusted advisor the sound of battle and he could see the ninjas of the sky fall from the engine to their death 

"Those flying objects are indeed very practical and give them an edge over us but in the end, they need to be very focused to drive them and can't fight adequately in this situation," Said Shidoka Nara standing next to the the Hokage 

"Those Sky scum are going to regret attacking Konoha," said Danzo with a somber expression

"Don't worry Hiruzen the plan is simple but effective, it will work," said one of his advisor

"I hope so, I had to pull them back from the front line and allow the other ninja village to gain ground on us for that," Hiruzen said with a cold tone and a cold expression that rarely appears on his face

Somewhere in the forest of death, a group of ninja of the Sky could be seen bound with their eyes behind their back 

"You can torture us as much as you want, we will not show crack and show you how to use that device, Konoha scum," said the sky ninja 

"Don't worry this isn't what we need of you, what we need of you right now is for you to look me in the eyes," after that sentence the eyes of the ninjas standing in front of the sky turned into three tomoe Sharingan 

"Arghh..." screams of pain resounded into the forest for a few minutes until the place became eerily silent before a few flying ninjas of the sky country took of toward their base like many of their comrades fleeing the slaughter unleashed on them by the ninja of Konoha.
