After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. She thought that she could bear with this her entire life, until she accidentally got pregnant with a child that Michael did not want. Finally despondent, Wendy signed the divorce agreement and left. "You heard me right." Wendy said again, "Let Christian win the bidding."
"Well..." Yonina did not expect these words from Wendy.
"Do as I said if you trust me," Wendy was resolute in her statement.
Yonina could not say whether she trusted Wendy or not. After all, they had never worked together before. However, based on the relationship between Wendy and Michael, she doubted that Wendy would entrap Michael.
"Ms. Stewart, it's not that I don't trust you," Yonina halted for a moment before she continued, "Perhaps, you don't know about the pros and cons of this project. If Christian wins the bidding, we might be able to counter him for the first two years if Collins Group and MC Enterprise joined forces. But it would be inevitable that we would meet our doom eventually. Of course, the same would apply if we win the bidding.
