CHAPTER 3

All the employees of Aguas Industrial Limit were shocked to see their boss as she rarely visits. The company was on a complete mess, stopping Ivy at the reception.

Ivy:I need this place to be tidy and clean in an hour.

Ivy walked to her cabin and smiled seeing it tidy. A lady with red hair entered her cabin and smilingly hugged her.

Ivy: How are you Katty?

Katty: I'm good. How do you like your office?

Ivy: It's tidy and I love the new paint.

Katty: I missed you alot and how you just keep things in order.

Ivy: Thanks for the praises. Do I have any appointments?

Katty: Yes, one with the Ardientes in the afternoon.

Ivy: Reschedule it to this morning. I need to be somewhere this afternoon.

Katty nods and leaves as Ivy makes herself comfortable.

Ava is reading a novel when she hears heavy footsteps. Putting the book down, she sees a man of about twenty five.

Ava: How can I help you?

Man: I'm Arnaldo Ardiente and I'm here to talk to Ivy.

Ava: My sister is at the company so you can go ahead and meet her.

Arnaldo turns to go but stops thinking about something.

Arnaldo: Will you like to hang out sometime?

Ana looks at him with a are you serious look.

Ana: I don't know you and you don't know me, so why this question?

Arnaldo: Just a friendly request. I didn't mean for you to get upset.

Ana: I'll think about it.

Arnaldo smiles and leaves, leaving Ana in her trance.

Ivy enters the Mondragon mansion frowning slightly. She meets Daniella, Romina's step daughter who looked cunning to her.

Ivy: Hi, Miss Mondragon, I'm here for Romina.

Daniella: I don't think she can come with you today.

Ivy: Why?

Before Daniella could answer, Ivy hears a scream and recognizes the voice. Rushing to the source, she finds Romina on the floor, bleeding and Robert on top of her, beating her up. Ivy quickly pushes Robert of and helps Romina up.

Ivy: What were you doing Robert? Are you out of your mind?

Robert: Don't interfere Ivy.

Ivy: I will because Romina is my friend and I ain't gonna allow her to stay here for a second.

Ivy supports Romina and gently makes her sit in her car. Swiftly turning to Robert, Ivy gives him one last glare and starts her car.

Aiya enters the Ardiente mansion with attitude annoying Emelia.

Emelia: What do you want here?

Aiya: Oh, just to tell you that the whole village found out about my pregnancy and I'm gonna ruin your reputation by revealing the conditions you put down for me.

Diego: You can't do that.

Aiya: Try me. Your only option now is for you to allow me live in this house with Diego.

Before Emelia could deny, Rahul beat her to it.

Rahul: Okay.

Diego: But you are gonna live in a separate room from mine. I don't want you anywhere near me.

Diego walks away as Emelia smirks 😏

Emelia: Not so smart now right. Pick a room and stay out of our way.

Emelia and Rahul leave to their rooms as Aiya stomps her foot. The maids arrange a room for her which is opposite to Diego's and she can't help but thank them in her head.

Ivy places Romina gently on the bed in the guest room and asks a maid to attend to her wounds. She calls her mother and sister downstairs and narrates what happened to what Romina. She later leads them to the room and Romina (Ivy's mother) stumbles back on seeing her. Ana holds her as tears start to stream from her eyes. Romina Mondragon wakes up and also shows her shock seeing Romina Aguas there.

Romina Mondragon: Elena!!!

Ivy looks at them shocked not understanding a thing.

Ivy: What is going on?

Diego joins his family in the study wearing a hoodie.

Emelia: Diego!!!?

Diego: I want to join this game. I'm just sick and tired of people taking advantage of me.

Arnaldo: That's good. We are going for our drugs this night. Be ready by ten and yeah, clothes will be sent to your room.

Diego nods and stands to go but stops hearing Arnaldo's sentence.

Arnaldo: I must say the Aguas sisters are very beautiful. I'm gonna try my luck with Ana, try your luck with Ivy.

Diego: What about Aiya?

Rahul: I'll take care of that.

Diego nods and leaves to his room as Emelia gave the rest a knowing look.

Romina Aguas: Ivy, can you give her time to gain her memory?

Ivy,: How did you even know that she has lost her memory?

Romina Mondragon: Can you guys just stop it? And Elena, I still remember you.

(From this point of the story on, I'm going to address Romina Aguas as Elena.)

Elena: Romina, just get some sleep. Robert really beat you up bad and Ivy, I need you to go to work and attend the meeting.

Ivy storms off angrily as Ana treats the wounds of Romina.

Somewhere Far away

A man with half if his face burnt kissed a woman passionately.

Man: How is the plan going?

Woman: Not really good. He is slowly falling out of love for me and he just keeps his distance.

Man: Okay, I'll arrange for something to keep him attached to you forever.

The woman grins happily and hugs the man.

Ivy: Arnaldo, can you just get over with this presentation?

Arnaldo: I'm done. So what do you think?

Ivy: I'm not impressed at all. There's nothing attached to this presentation. Come back if you have good ideas.

Arnaldo: Okay.

Ivy hears commotions outside so walks out to check. Daniella was throwing a tantrum and she just burns with rage. Matching to her, she turned her around and punched her. Daniella staggered back with blood oozing from her mouth.

Ivy: I don't want to ever see you here. After what your father did, I have every right to send him to jail so be thankful I didn't.

Daniella walks out angrily and Ivy locks herself in her cabin. The employees couldn't help but wonder what was going on.
